TOTTENHAM DONT WANT TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH JOSE BECAUSE THEY ARE SCARED OF HIM TAKING ACTION AGAINST THE SUPER LEAGUE. Jose needs to take action. People listen to him, no matter if you like him as a manager or not. People should not talk about his performances on the pitch. Sure he probably would’ve been sacked at the end of the season but the reason he was sacked now. Less than a week before the cup final that Levy wanted to give Jose to prove himself. They only sacked him now because they were scared of him talking publicaly on this matter. They know Jose would’ve done that because he has “nothing to lose” and that’s why they sacked him now, and not after the final or at the end of the season.

More than half the squad needed replacing, so it was always going to be difficult for Mourinho or any other manager who took over. They've gone and bought 7 players last summer. They probably need another 7 new players this summer. Souness is right, the new manager will need a lot of luck to get any success at Tottenham with someone like Levy holding the purse strings and making personnel decisions. 20 years and 1 cup, I think Levy is the problem at Spurs, not the managers.

Jose should have had more time to change out the squad. Reguillon and Hojbjerg have been good, Vinicius an able deputy and Bale I think has given up on football which is hardly Jose's fault. He thought he'd have Dier as the commanding cb, it hasn't worked out, but a cb in the summer and they could have been in real business.

I agree 100% with Graeme on his take on Jose's sacking. Players want 'nice' managers, they're too sensitive and tender, they're too powerful, they end up being players who are not mentally strong enough to win tough matches.

*The number of world-class managers in the **_EPL_** just dropped to four: **_Bielsa, Klopp, Ancelotti_** and **_Guardiola._*
Given the timing relative to the upcoming _Wembley_ date, I really hope _Mourinho's_ exit has to do with opposition to a _European Super League._

Since the zagreb game, Jose had been on a downward spiral, but even before that the football was boring. I would say this is the right decision from the club, 8 games too late...

Why sack a manager a week before the EFL cup final? This has ESL all over it.

  • @sighfly2928

Listen everyone, he was sacked because of results, not because of the ESL. Given how cunning he is, he probably used the ESL as an easy way out; he was finished. Especially after Pogba’s comments. That sort of statement by a player can seriously disrupt the dressing room, especially if things aren’t going your way. Don’t be quick to judge and give the man credit; he has proven to be a specialist in failure now. Keeps cashing in on terminated contracts.

It'll be some unknown foreign manager, possibly the manager currently at RB Leipzig.
