Just started with a DE, a Viking Chieftain. Its a low end starter DE from what i can tell but decent. I decided to try my head after watching your video, and was amazed. No nicks, fast, and pretty easy. I'm using some starter mild blades and it took 4 tried to get 95% of all my hair. I think i'll keep using it and I like not having so much after shave burn from a plastic razor. Thank

I couldn't do the top of my head too well. Did the sides and back with the DE, then the top with Mach5.
Interesting, I find the hair on the head way tougher/coarser than on the face.
Clearly I'm doing something wrong because my head is never perfectly smooth
For the spots on my head that still have hair after 3 passes I pull the skin tight and go against the grain 👌🏽
Before shaving use an exfoliate to remove dead skin cells and to get a closer and smoother shave. Then Use hair conditioner instead of shaving cream and use a Gilette Mach 3 or Gilette skin guard 2 blade razor. It makes a world of difference. Do 3 passes. One with the grain. One against the grain and finally one across the grain. Hope that helps. Also don’t forget aftershave. For electric shavers the Braun series 9 is by far the best.
What would you say the best razor for someone starting to shave their head would be?
how hard is to head shave with a safety razor? I used one back in the day before I had a beard, but these days I shave my head in the shower with a Leaf razor. Shaves great but quality/longevity isn't there
Jeremy…what is your favorite head shaving razor and blade combination?
That is a great question. I’m a big fan on the Timeless Ti95 and a Personna blade. If I want a more mild of a razor, the TRC Aluminium is also one of my goto for head shaves. Another good option is the Mühle Companion due to the longer handle.

@@terrellking4174 for me it depends on how long my hair is, what razor I’m using, and how fresh the blade is. I personally prefer longer strokes when possible, but I know that doesn’t work for everyone.
