    Great video...the secret is in the sonic feedback as the razor does it's job...also let the weight of the razor do the work don't apply pressure.The most important part for me is the face prep.Ideally shave after a shower otherwise hot water applied via a flannel and consider a pre shave.To finish,cold water rinse followed by alum bloc face wipe,after shave moisturiser and then a great aftershave lotion.
    Some people love the whole Spa/weekend pamper thing you know what,do this whenever you have a moment for that selfish pamper love yourself time and the more you do it the more your skin will love you.
    Importantly,above all else ditch those bloody cartridge razors,save a ton of money,improve your skin and, like the girls do,pamper yourselves fellas!

    Hallo Leute! Ich bin Welschtiroler... Now I start to write in english to arrive better to all people. I bought directly to your site the r41, better known as like "the shark". It's simply fantastic. The best razor I ever used! In just one time I shaved my beard perfectly when compared the other razors I had to pass at least 4 times. When you say quality you don't have to be worried, especially if costs can be amortized over years of daily use. You have a great product produced in Europe (made in Germany) and now you have in me a great estimator and client. Viele liebe Grüße aus Welschtirol.

      Apologies for the late reply, new to this Channel and only looking at comments now, I did that too when I started DE shaving, but it depends what direction your hair grows, even if you shave downwards first on the neck your hair my grow upwards in direction so even though you might think your shaving with the grain your actually going against the grain, Facial hair mapping is a good way of figuring out which way the hair grows so you can shave in the proper direction for each pass
      Mantic 59, a very well established TH-cam wetshaver has a good video on facial hair mapping and other videos on how to shave properly in general to get a BBS shave with no irritation, other TH-cam wetshavers explain and demonstrate this well too, good luck 👍👍

      I always say to people that have irritation to use a more aggressive DE razor and a sharp blade because you can get a very close shave in less passes ie. one with the grain and one against the grain pass and your done, rather then doing 3 or 4 passes with a milder blade and razor cause you then run the risk of getting razor burn or nicks/cuts due to overshaving 👍

    Okay. I have a big problem with this product and video. Firstly: the tutorial guy got the beard I would get after 8 hrs of sleep. nobody shaves like that - it's just frustratingly misleading.
    Secondly: I bought this, I got a good 4-5 days non-shaved going because I wanted to test this product. And wow was I disappointed; had to finish with my wife's legrazor and now my face is all cut up and it's Monday tomorrow. I bought the alum pen, also from Muhle, though and it helped somewhat with the legrazor issue so I guess I can recommend that. So there's a tip for you that is more worth than wasting 10 minutes on this.

    •  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Never say never ;) Shaving against the grain can cause irritation on sensitive skin. That's why we always recommend shaving with the grain first. The rest is personal experience. If your skin tolerates it well, you can also shave against the grain in a second pass to achieve an even more thorough result.

    Any tips for getting a closer shave out of a safety razor? I just bought one, and this is my 1st experience with a safety razor, and it doesn't seem to shave as close as a cartridge? I haven't nicked or cut myself or anything, but it just doesn't seem to shave as smooth.

    • @sergiopacheco2939
      @sergiopacheco2939 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You first need to master the basic pases. Wet shaving, as opposed to using a cartridge razor, is about beard reduction. Try doing 2 passes downwards and use ZERO pressure. Let the weight of the razor do the work. After this you can go sideways from ear to nose on your jawline, chin, upper lip, etc. And against the grain on neck. For me personally I go against the grain on neck on second pass, and if I want even a closer shave I go across the grain. But for the Chin, jawline, etc, I go against the grain, after I go across on the second pass, if I want ultra smooth. I suggest derby blades if youre a beginner and don't have a thick beard.

    • @jcshaves
      @jcshaves 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@sergiopacheco2939 great advice. I’m a couple months into it myself. Started with Derby and and working my way up to sharper blades. Now that I have learned technique I get an even closer shave that is just as comfortable with the sharper blades. Probably even more comfortable with sharper blades if I skip a couple days than with the more “comfortable” rated blades because they just cut through the whiskers so easily. Even the dullest de blades are way sharper than the cartridge blades. Wonder how long until I’m using Feather blades?

    The main problem of the Mûhle blades is the plastic box, which actually destroys one of the main advantages of using classic razors over cartridge razors. The general claim is that traditional razor blades, as opposed to multi-edged cartridges, do not pollute the environment with tons of plastic, which is, however, thwarted in the case of razor blades supplied in plastic boxes. The former Nazi Germany producers of Mühle obviously ignore the problem of plastic pollution.
