10 years ago I left the northeast for Texas to be closer to my wifes family. I was sad to leave all those amazing trout rivers, but discovered the hill country and red fish...changed my life! Some of the best fishing around, and so much danm fun to chase reds. Not to mention the cool friends I keep on making.
What a community , so cool - as it should be. Keep up the good work!! If I were king of the world I would ensure all the fisheries remain healthy, so a fly fishing community like this could thrive!

Love Rockport! Definitely a lot more people fishing there. For all you out of towners and newbies, if you ever hear of a place called Port O’Connor or POC, don’t bother, fishing there is horrible.

I grew up in Corpus. I pray God allows me to live there again soon to take care of my mom. Chuck Naiser says it best, “It’s a gift…”
