I love sight fishing at night for Walleye or Sauger in the rivers here in Pittsburgh, PA where I live. You can just walk the banks in some spots with a headlamp on and see their eyes glowing back at you. I usually toss white grub jigs and when it hits the water near them, you can see their glowing eyes turn, target it and then move in and attack the lure. Really cool to watch and a lot of fun! I can only imagine how fun it must be fishing those baeutiful crystal clear reefs. Thanks for the great vids letting me live vicariously through you a bit, Brooksy!

Brooksy, I noticed on your fly cast, that you drop your line out of your left hand when you shoot. This is a bad habit, practice forming a loop with your thumb and middle (or pointer) fingers and letting the line shoot through that. You will sacrifice a couple feet in distance, but you will get better presentations, more accuracy, and can strip or set right when your fly hits the water. Most critically, you wont wrap your line around your reel. I would check out a spiked casting matt as well (dragin fly makes a great one). Im trying to give fly advice without sounding like a fly c*nt, so dont take my criticism as anything other than friendly. If you are bombing casts, turn your reel sideways halfway through the cast and you will eliminate rod shake, getting you a couple more feet on your cast. I do fly and spin gear, love your channel man. Im going to the barrier reef for my honeymoon because of your videos.

Love the videos, I started fly fishing in June. I live in south florida USA. Using my fishing knowledge, I have caught snook, tarpon, redfish, bonefish, jack crevales and more on a fly rod. Is my casting great, nope, I can get the fly maybe 65 feet on a good cast. Sometimes it hits to hard and spooks the fish, sometimes I hit them in the head lol. Like you said though, I'm catching fish and it's a blast. Keep doing what you are doing. Great content

Honestly man the accuracy of what you said. I swear I have ADHD when it comes to fishing, one day I’m targeting longtail tuna and the next I’ve picked up a fly rod and I’m looking like an absolute kook trying to catch whiting on the flats. That permit was proper psycho 🔥

First rule of C/R fishing is ALWAYS have a net no mather boat, land or whatever, 2nd rule is NEVER EVER lift a fish by the tail because of the risk for a back injury and a dead fish after a few hrs. I know you dont care about the fish as long as you get the vid but MAYBE one or 2 of your viewers are able to think and can learn something so less fish will die from really bad C/R. exept that you are good at finding and catching fish and there are always good fights and good size fish in your vids.
Oh god. Go back and watch a few videos before preaching. We always take care to make sure they are released healthy. Sometimes this is unavoidable and we will keep the fish. To say that you know i don’t care about the fish hahahahahaha u don’t know anything. Beat it
