Dream grass can be found in the backers area. Unless when you cut it it does not respawn, but I feel it does. So if it does respawn, you did not have to make a new save file to see it. Altough, it is a liitle bit more blue.

You can find dream grass in secret location, and it's not only cream-violet this grass can be cream-blue color in this hidden location.(This location is in the Resting Grass in the head of the moth statue (not central, the left one I think))
