Good selection. I said recently that the Amiga compared well with the Megadrive. After checking out the arcade ports, I think it had great potential but nearly all of them are inferior to Megadrive games. They just don't run well. The potential seems to be there but for whatever reason was never reached. Team17 were one of the good developers.
It was surprisingly rare that developers on Amiga were able to find a good balance between style and substance. I feel like it would have done much better in the USA had more games hit a high mark like Apidya does. Many developers worked with the system early in their careers so it feels like somewhat of a "primordial pool" of talent growing towards much greater things in the future. That being said, there are some really stand-out titles if you search through the massive library and I always look forward to exploring further. Both Amiga and PC Engine are my favorite systems to explore the libraries of on MiSTer because everything is so new to me for both of them, and what an adventure it's been.. Cheers!
I'm stuck on the last boss in this game. Where do you shoot the giant wasp? Does it have a weak point? I'm seriously shooting for 30 minutes and it just never ever dies. The only difference I see is I don't have the same cocktail of weapons you have in this video, but I still feel I'm doing something wrong.... :/
