Hi James, bloody hell, your right mate, brings back some memories that one, pea soup 🤣 , thanks for reminding me dude. Some classic games for the Amiga man 😊. Cheers for watching pal, see ya next time for some Amiga game reviews hopefully 👍🏻
Some great choices mate, most would definitely be in my top 50 Hard to pick ten but I think I would go with... Simon the sorcerer Lemmings Settlers Megalomania Ruff n tumble Stuntcar racer Wings Swiv Monkey Island Eye of the beholder 2.
Hello David, really tough deciding what my faves were from memory 😄 I only ever had a small collection of games, so missed quite a lot of other classics. So these were just the ones I played the most 😊 I must play some of your game choices, sound interesting mate 👍🏻 Cheers for watching pal, and enjoy ya weekend ✌️ 😊
god knows how many joysticks i broke when trying to shoot to spin the ball while playing sensible soccer :) or how many joysticks i threw to wall when i missed a perfect chance to score lol
Hi there, oh yes, Sensible Soccer, what a classic footy game mate. Me and my brother spent many hrs playing it in the 90s. 😊 So much fun 2 player games, still probably one of my favourite football games ⚽️ 👍 Joysticks 😆 I agree hahaha And getting that perfect curling shot or header was just amazing fun 😊 Cheers for watching pal, and have a great 2024 ✌️ 🥳 🍻
I completely agree with your #1 there. It was an unbelievably good game. Hours and hours of flying headers off corners, top corner curling goals, massive clears. Got to play it a number of years back and it was clear my co-ordination and reactions are no longer what they were 😂
@codemonkey181 Hello there Codemonkey181, glad you agree with Sensible Soccer buddy. Me, my brother and friends spent a lot of time on this footy game in the 90s 😃 ⚽️ 🥅 It is a true classic footy 2 player game for Amiga mate, and my skills and reactions have certainly gone if ya seen my review of this on my channel, I was crap! 😆 🤣 The older I get the worse I play I'm sure, I couldn't even connect my headers properly man lol Cheers for watching pal, and hope you have a great weekend 👍 😊
The legendary classic games for the Amiga. In fact, these are definitely my favourite games: - SENSIBLE SOCCER - CANNON FODDER - LEMMINGS - THE CHAOS ENGINE And we all know one thing: AMIGA FOREVER 😺👍🕹️! Greetings from frosty and snowy ❄️☃️🥶 Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮.
Hi Ari, the Amiga was amazing, Lemmings could have easily been in my top 3, but I think my top 3 were the ones I enjoyed the best back in the day 😃 Thanks again for watching mate 👍🏻 In sunny but cold UK 🇬🇧 😊
@John Doe Gaming 2021 Hello John Doe, enjoyed doing this top 10, not easy to choose mind mate 😆 Doing another 10 soon bud, subbed ya channel too, cheers for watching 👍🏻 😊
I try to play these on WinUAE but it seems too fast and the AI is just unbeatable even against weak teams. I remember it being a lot easier when I had a real Amiga
Great video mate. Me and my mates bought a Amiga just for sensible soccer! The memories i have of that game will always be with me. I played a few other games that you mentioned in this list but the Amiga will go hand in hand with sensi soccer for me!
Hello Paul, great name by the way, its my first name too lol, and yes, Sensible Soccer is very a special Amiga game, as I played it for a few yrs with my brother in the 90s, we loved 2 player games, anyone could win it 😆 ⚽️ I only had about 50 games ever, so this is just my personal favourite games here mate 😊 Glad you enjoyed my top 10, I must do a review of Sensible Soccer at some point too, check out my Pinball Fantasies review, and for a few other Amiga games in my previous content if ya interested buddy? Thanks for watching pal✌️ 😊
I edited the whole prem, div 234 into sensi in pre internet days...I got names for lower leagues from the write up in the sun...took ages...I made a few mistakes tho ..I put in Nicky Beckham ..I heard about the new crop of utd players none had appeared yet..great days ..still got disks somewhere but alas my Amiga got nicked years ago by a flat mate...smokey I WILL find you! happy days
Hello there, loved the Amiga after my Spectrum mate, quality games with class music and sound 👌 This top 10 isn't necessarily the best 10, but these are my personal faves of the small collection of games I had, Great memories bud, and thanks for stopping by, appreciated pal ✌️ 😊
Hello mate, hope your doing ok dude, glad you enjoyed my top 10 here, wasn't easy, as there is another 10 I could have easily chosen for the awesome Amiga 500 😀 I'm hoping to get my Amiga up and running again real soon too🤞🏻 Take care, and thanks for stopping by pal, and have a great weekend ✌️ 😊
Some great picks. I’ll have to emulate some of these as a few I’ve never tried. I did love whirlwind snooker back in the day. And your numero uno is 😍.
Hello Ed mate, try Amiga Live, its really easy to use once installed on PC, and they have a massive collection of games to play as well. I was amazed when I played Jimmy Whites, as it seemed so realistic at the time lol. Sensible Soccer is a total classic, oh yes! ⚽️ 😃 Cheers for watching buddy, and have a canny weekend 👍🏻 😊
Watching this makes me want to but up my A1200 and play my favourite games Wings , It Came From The Desert , Street rod 2 , Stunt Car Racer , Eye Of The beholder , Dune 2 , historyline 1914-1918 , A-train , Populous , and Sim City
Cool games there buddy 👍 I had the Amiga 500, and played a few of those as I only had a small collection of Amiga games lol Get playing I say mate and remember those great memories of the classic Amiga 👍 Thanks for watching pal ✌️ 😊
Hello my friend,.yeah, 2 classic games with cool soundtracks, the Amiga certainly had some brilliant music at the time. Thanks for stopping by mate 👍 😊
First game I ever bought when I first got an Amiga was Civilization. The very first one. Had another one called Dune, mining spice to construct buildings to get tanks & whatnot to defeat the other 2 faction bases. And Sim City. And Wing Commander.
@mannydavis7708 OK mate, Sensible Soccer was the most fun for me and my brother back in the day ⚽️ I have just bought the PC version for Civilization recently, and it's great 👍 Never played the other ones, sure they were mint though buddy. Thanks for the visit pal, and have a great weekend ✌️ 😊
The Dune game will have been Dune 2, the RTS game, it was fantastic. There was also Dune, which was an adventure/rpg game (I never played it but it was well received by the critics as far as I can recall). Civilization was a real eye opener for me, I was drawn to fighting and sports games more than anything and it was my brother who bought the awesome Civ, making me realise I could thoroughly enjoy the strategy genre. An excellent first purchase for your Amiga! The first game I bought was Double Dragon 3; not a bad game, but not in the league of Civ :)
Some good games here. Played Sensible Soccer to death, me and a mate used to set up leagues with 20 teams in it and play a whole season. In single player I took Mansfield Town from League 2 to the Prem and then won every competition thereafter including Champions League (the quadruple). I think it ended after 20 seasons. Other notable games for me included Alien Breed, Apidya, Pinball Dreams / Pinball Fantasies, Walker and loads I forgot now.
@SAFeCRACKeR09 Hello there, that's an astonishing achievement with good old Mansfield Town 👍 Sensible Soccer was and still is one of the best football games ever. Me and brother played it to death back in the day, but nothing like yourself lol. And Pinball Fantasies is one of my faves too. Thanks for watching my friend, appreciated ✌️ 😊 ⚽️
Shadow of the Beast 1-3 ,Rainbow Island-The Story of Bubble Bubble 2 , Xenon 2 The Megablast, Rock´n Roll, Eye of the Beholder, Test Drive 2-The Duel, und for sure all Lemmings Game,
The games are just the ones I owned and enjoyed back in the day, I've played a few you mentioned there and might check some of the others you metioned cheers 😃 thanks for watching pal 👍🏻 😊
Some belters on this list Paul. I've only played Top Gear 2 on the SNES but looks good on the Amiga, great game I always felt Lotus 2 is let down by no music, if only it sounded like the original. Have a great weekend mate 👍✌️
Hello James, hope your doing ok mate, Top Gear and maybe Jaguar X220 were great versions on the Amiga, but Lotus games were excellent, I did play the original, but played Lotus 2 a lot more with my brother at the time. Certainly some absolute top games for the Amiga buddy, and the music in some of the games were ground breaking for the time. Cheers again for watching pal, enjoy the rest of ya weekend 👍🏻😊
It's so nice to hear you enjoy all these games to mate, as I've had some grief about some of them 😆 But its my top 10, not their's haha Thanks for stopping by pal, appreciated
Hello dude, yeah, was well happy with playing this list of classic Amiga games back in the 90s, and it was nice to play them once again after all these yrs 😃 Stay safe, and thanks again for stopping by pal 😊 ✌️
Nice List ! my top 10 is different id have Dungeon Master - that game was genre defining Xenon 2 megablast - that had a pumping theme and is arguably the best blaster The Settlers Eye of the Beholder 1 and 2 Dyna Blaster - was a blast with mates, (ha see what I did there :) ) Carrier Command Defender of the Crown Hired Guns Dune SpeedBall 2 and Sensi Soccer but im already over 10 ! a few other notable mentions like StarGlider, Mercenary, Rocket Ranger, Battle Chess, Star Wars, Pang plus to many others to mention. [EDIT] for deleting a typo :)
@@sarkxyson6113 Hey there, everyone has their favourites dude, a few in there I like, but that's your top 10 mate. I quite like my top 10 though, and I just have to stick with them buddy lol I do still prefer Project X more than Xenon 2 sorry..🤣 Thanks for stopping by pal✌️ 😊
Hey Jack, the Amiga was, and still is so cool mate, I had the chance of either the Amiga or a Mega Drive in the early 90s in Dixons Electronic shop. Think I made the right choice..😆 Amiga Forever!! Thanks for watching dude, appreciated 😊 👍🏻
some mint games in that list, SWOS was incredible, as was Lotus turbo challenge (and all the ones you mention) however.... Kick Off 2, Stunt car racer and Elite would pip all of them for me personally and speedball 2 would have to go in my top 10 somewhere. However you rate them however, what a home computer the amiga was back in the day, and a damn shame that commodore didnt really evolve it at the time (I was one of the saps who bought a CD32 which was a total waste of cash considering that by then i also had an A1200 with a whopping 80mb HDD - which was also too little too late imo). I am surprised you rated top gear 2 higher than Crazy Cars 3 (/Lambo American challenge) however
Hi Mike, this isn't necessarily the best ever Amiga Top 10 games around at that time, just the ones I had in my collection and enjoyed with my mates. These content was on Amiga Live here, as my Amiga 500 doesn't work anymore unfortunately, the cover pic is my on my old Amiga. Thanks for watching mate 👍 😊
A friend had two Amigas linked with a null-modem cable and that allowed us to experience _Lotus Turbo Challenge 2_ with three- and four-player simultaneous multiplayer. I also understand from what someone told me earlier this year (2022) that you could even link an Amiga and Atari ST in this way and do that same type of multiplayer (but obviously the ST owner would have to have the ST version of _Lotus Turbo Challenge 2_ as well).
Hello Texy88, wow, that just sounds amazing, imagine that back in the day 😍 The Lotus Turbo Challenge trilogy of games were certainly great racers back in the 90s and are still very playable today in 2022. Thanks for watching my channel buddy, appreciated, and more Amiga content certainly coming soon pal, take care and enjoy the rest of your week 👍🏻 😊
@@stewsretroreviews I also had the chance to link two Amigas together to have a one-on-one dogfight with another friend in _Knights of the Sky,_ which was really mind-blowing for both of us.
I remember playing some of these on my mates amiga years ago paul mate he had a amiga while i had a megadrive at the time. Your list had some classics such as lemmings but i cant believe sunderland were in the premiership on sensible soccer at the time 🤣
Hi buddy, some great games, which bring back the good times in the 90s . Lemmings was always a classic game for the Amiga and something a bit different 😃 Sunderland were always up and down mate, more down than up most of the time unfortunately 🤣 Enjoying beers tonight mate, and thanks for watching dude ✌️ 😊
@@stewsretroreviews Pretty sure we had Paul Stewart up front in that version! Really great list of games, Stew - easily one of the best I've seen. Actually been playing on my A500 mini tonight and reminiscing. Games like Superfrog and Alien Breed still look great (Team 17 were consistently good games developers I found)
Ok dude, yeah Paul Stewart was on the SAFC team mate, and it was always a joke that he was crap in a lot of games, I got stick for it, as it's my name too, fun times 😆 🤣 Happy with my top 10 dude, and those games you mentioned were great as well 👍 Thanks for stopping by pal ✌️ 😊
Missed a whole bunch of games there , wings , lost patrol ,pirates , silent service2 , knights of the sky to name a few but we all have our favourites 👍
Ok mate, yeah everyone has their favourites, these just happen to be mine bud, and I only had so many Amiga games lol. I only know one of the games you mentioned there, which is Knights of the sky, it was good at the time, but not enough to be in my top 10 unfortunately 👍. Thanks for watching pal, enjoy ya Sunday ✌️ 😊
Interesting to see Top Gear 2 in there. Not many people would have placed that in their Top 10. The others are Amiga staples, and are what people would expect to see. I was never keen on Zool to be honest. Prefer the original Lotus over the sequel. Lemmings and Cannon Fodder are both incredible titles. 😍
Hi mate. I only had a small collection of Amiga games back in the day, so I've probably missed a lot of classic games out really, these are just the 10 I remember playing and enjoying the most bud, I thought Top Gear 2 was great, and 2nd to Lotus, I suppose everyone has their own favourites games and memories of them back in the day😃 Thanks for stopping by pal enjoy the rest of ya week ✌️😊
Very close to my top 10 I would say, but my all time number 1 would be Championship Manager even the Italian version, it started my CM/FM journey and still still I play FM quite a lot.
@FlintEastw00d Ok Flint, love the name mind lol. And happy you're top 10 is similar mate, I've never played CM etc, so it depends what ya into really. 😊 But me, my mates and brother played Sensible Soccer loads on the Amiga⚽️ a cracking fun footy game and even better a 2 player game. Definitely still my no 1 game bud. I've got some other Amiga stuff now on my channel in my playlists, as my Amiga is up and running again for the first time in 20yrs 😆 🤣 Thanks for stopping by dude 👍 😊
@@stewsretroreviews aye one of my biggest regrets getting rid of my Amiga 1200 back in 96’ wish I still had it now. Loved SWOS also, I always said if that was today I could possibly be world champion as I was pretty good 🤣 BTW I’m also a Sunderland fan! 🔴⚪️
Bloody hell flint, I'm as Sunderland fan too 😆 🤣 And Sunderland were in the Premiership back then, so they were on the original Sensible Soccer ⚽️ Small world mate 👌 😀
Hi mate, you have to understand that these are just my personal top 10, and didn't have that many games for the Amiga, but I could have easily put in Flashback as it is a classic as well 😀 👍🏻 Thanks for watching pal✌️ 😊
Some absolutely amazing looking games there, those tunes on lotus challenge almost had me up dancing Paul buddy 🤣 chaos engine and cannon fodder look great and really interest me.... don't shout at me but I've never played on any amiga at all and when I see footage and hear peoples memories it makes me realise I defo missed out bud.... I wonder if Sunderland will get back to the promised land 🤣
Hello Steve lad, I can't think of any handheld or console which would've sounded better than the Amiga back in day, the music is still so cool today mate. Just one of many reasons its a classic buddy, and a bit like yourself, I missed out on a ton of different consoles and handhelds in the 90s too 😆 Everyone has different gaming history I suppose buddy 😊 Cannon Fodder, Lotus and Sensible Soccer, were big favourites of mine, and still are. Safc might get up, but definitely not ready for the Premier league just yet bud, there ok, but need a big investment like our neighbours, the mags😄, will get there eventually I'm sure. Take care Steve, and thanks a lot for watching pal, appreciated ✌️ 😊
Thanks very much mate, just some of the games I enjoyed on the awesome Amiga. Cheers for stopping by pal, hopefully, see ya next time, enjoy the weekend ✌️ 😊
Ok Andy, there's a lot of games I've never played on the Amiga before. This top 10 is just my personal top 10 of the games I did have, and I've also heard that game is excellent too👌🏻 Thanks for watching anyway mate 👍🏻 😊
I'm Antonio from Italy, for you the number one is "Sensible Soccer" 1992, but the edition 1996/97 is better, add quality stars players, flags wind, injuried players, the refree, all teams nations and clubs in the world 👍
Hello, Etere from Italy, I totally agree my friend, that is the best version by far, but I used to play the original with my brother when it first came out, and it brings back some great memories and nostalgia for us as kids. Thanks so much for watching pal, and have a great weekend👍🏻
Hello Jamie, we would all love more Lemmings mate, just got my Amiga back after 20 odd years in my loft, check out my first review for Lemmings too mate, the other Amiga games are off an Emulator lol. And yes, a classic game of the 90s, shame no more have been made, but I do love the Amiga version, as it was the one I played back in the day, and also think the mouse control is better for this particular game 👍 Thanks for the visit buddy ✌️ 😊
Was always envious of the Amiga being an Atari ST user!! The fun me and my brothers had playing Kick Off 2, brilliant game, pity the Atari version had no semi circle in the middle of the pitch and no nets in the goals which really annoyed me!! Turrican 1 and 2 were memorable as well.
I was always curious about the Atari St at the time lol, I was a Sensible Soccer fan ⚽️ back in the day, played it none stop with my brother, great times and memories 😃 The Turrican games were excellent too. Thanks for watching pal, appreciated 👍🏻 😊
Hi John, I got quite far on the Amiga version of Cannon Fodder I remember, the difficulty does ram right up when you get further on. 😆 Still one of my favourites, and fond memories of it, and Zool, a nice little platformer with lovely looking graphics, still not 100% what I was doing in it mind lol, but it was fun 😀 Sure Zool was out for the Snes, Mega Drive and Gameboy I think, definitely worth a blast mate. Cheers again for watching and have good week pal ✌️ 😊
I actually prefer the OCS version of _Zool: Ninja of the Nth Dimension_ to the AGA version, which had those really busy backgrounds that made it really difficult to see what was going on, especially when it came to trying to avoid projectiles that stood out really well against the much simpler backgrounds of the OCS original.
Hi Smitty, I've never played that game, but it does look pretty good, and I'm also into WW1 and WW2 stuff. Will have too look out for it mate thanks. Cheers for watching, and enjoy ya weekend 👍😀
Ok Youuuuuuutube, love the name!😆 Glad you agree with my top 10 mate, some people like it, and others moan about it hahaha It's my top 10, if they don't like it, they don't have to watch lol, but I'm very happy with my childhood memories of the mighty Amiga I have to say mate 😃 Thanks for watching, and have a great weekend pal ✌️ 😊
Can‘t do a ranking, but what i liked and played a lot are: Strider, Apydia, Quick N‘Silva, Turbo Outrun, Crazy Sue, Simon The Sorcerer, Monkey Island, Ghouls N‘Ghosts, Goblins 1 + 2 and many more 😂
I’ve never played Top Gear 2 , but the other 9 I agree are brilliant games. I can never cut my top list down to 10 , so here comes my top 10 with 30 games: 1. Black crypt 2. Alien breed 3. Moonstone 4. Wings 5. Space hulk 6. Hero quest 7. Space crusade 8. Eye of the beholder 9. Dungeon master 10. Escape from Colditz 11. Dylan dog 12. Wing commander 13. Syndicate 14. Murder 15. Sim city 16. Pirates 17. Speedball II 18. Dune 19. Frontier 20. Legends of valour 21. It came from the desert 22. Heimdall 23. Pinball dreams 24. Team Yankee 25. Battlehawks 1942 26. Stunt car racer 27. Grand prix 28. Knights of the sky 29. Another world 30. Citadel I could easily add 20-25 , but these are the ones I refuse to cut out. Sequels are of course included. That goes without saying. Call me an idiot , I don’t care. These stays on !!! I’ll let myself out.
Hello mate, believe me, I could have added a lot more than 10, so these 10 were just my personal top 10, not necessarily the best Amiga games around, but the games which meant something to me and brings back some great memories, especially the 2 player games with my brother 😀 You have some bangers there in your list too dude, not easy to choose, I know, but I'm happy with my top 10 😊 Top Gear 2 was fun, but the Lotus games were the best I thought 👍🏻 Thanks for stopping by buddy ✌️
@@stewsretroreviews : That’s alright by me too. Two quick follow up questions : 1. Are there any Amiga500 games you still play on a regular basis ? I mean , on old faithful , emulated or on ClassicsMini ? 2. I assume that you read Amiga magazines back in the day. Which ones were your favourites ? I still play Frontier , Pirates and SimCity on the same Amiga500 regularly. My top magazines were The One and Amiga Action.
@raggeragnar My Amiga doesn't work now unfortunately, I use an emulator Amiga Live, I like to play Cannon Fodder, Sensible Soccer, and the Lotus games the most now I'd say mate, I never bought any Amiga mags back in the day sorry 😞
In my opinion, there are still a few titles missing - The Settlers-Alien Breed: Tower Assault-Jim Power-Moonstone-Shadow Of The Beast 1-2-3-Toki-Turrican 1-2-3-Pinball Dreams-Superfrog-Benefactor-Warzone-Swiv-and there was much more 🕹🕹🎮🎮👍👍
Ok dude, as I've mentioned before, this is only my personal top 10 and the games I owned in the 90s. There is always going to be other classic games not here, as those are your faves mate. These are just my top 10 from back in the day. and I'm quite happy with them all 👍 You named some bangers there, but I only played a few of those, Superfrog was cool, but not a favourite for me. Pinball Fantasies was also the better game I thought too 😊 Thanks for watching pal ✌️ 😊
Ok dude, only played Chaos Engine and Zool, so cool, played Stormlord on the speccy, not a fave of mine, and not played the others mate. I'm happy with my top 10 still 👍 😃 Thanks for the visit pal ✌️ 😊
One thing I noticed. Is that Brits always have Zool on their list. Why it is not Giana Sisters is a great question. But it may be a British thing. Never the less a nice list. Cannon fodder is a great game. Personally I also like Lotus-II.
Hi mate, I wouldn't say its a British thing really, these are the games I mostly played back in the 90s thats all, and I quite enjoyed Zool and the sequel back in the day, I never had Giana sisters either, but heard good things about it 😃 Loved Cannon Fodder and Lotus games, but my favourite is definitely Sensible Soccer, played it so much with my brother in the 90s, we were never off it 😆 , a classic number 1 for me. Thanks for stopping by buddy and have a nice day 😊 👍🏻
I could have easily had them 2 games and a ton of others in my top 10 mate, but you're right, 2 classics there dude, thanks a lot for watching, check my next 10 Amiga games in my previous content too, you might be surprised 😊 👍🏻
Hi Mr Scarez, the Amiga had classic games back in the day mate 😃 Bet you had breakfast watching this😆 You got some content coming soon pal? Cheers for watching, and enjoy the rest of the weekend ✌️ 😊
@@stewsretroreviews haha yes! Watched it while having me toast. Got a video coming out on Monday, I have a month old daughter now so I have been super busy haha
@@sirscarez Congratulations buddy, will have ya hands full atm I guess 😊 Mine are teenagers now and do want they want lol, enjoy it while their little mate, time flies over so fast. Looking forward to more great content from you too dude 👌🏻 Bye for now✌️
Hello my friend, I agree totally there, Outrun wasn't great was it, so yeah, the Lotus games made up for it thankfully 👍 Thanks very much for watching buddy ✌️ 😀
Hey mate, I must admit I've not checked any of the new stuff out, also I'm getting my Amiga fixed at the moment, hopefully when I get it back I will definitely have to check out the new games buddy, any to recommend? Thanks for stopping by pal ✌️ 😊
@etroreviews There you got some, Golden Wing, Metal Gear, Knightmare (2022), King's Valley, Tiny Bobble, Tinyus, Green Beret, Rescue 1987 and Fulcrum Sacrum.
Hey Gav, I loved my Amiga 500 too, it had some classic games. I only ever had a small collection of Amiga games back in the day. You mentioned some good titles there too mate. Thanks for watching, I did another 10 on my channel after this Top 10 if you want to check it out 😃, and have a final 10 coming up soon too. Thanks for watching Gav, appreciated dude ✌️ 😊
Hi Damien, I only played Flashback, which was great, and I'll always loved Cannon Fodder, 2 player with my brother. Amiga forever!! Thanks for watching mate 👍 😊
My favourites: Xenon II, Batman the Movie, EOB 1 & 2 (EOB 3 was terrible), Wizball (what a game), The Settlers (but you needed an A1200 with extra RAM for big maps), Frontier (again an A1200 with extra RAM and accelerated), Stunt Car Racer, Lemmings (all of them before Lemmings 2), Desert Strike (though I never finished this one), Ghosts and Goblins (not Ghouls and Ghosts), F/A-18 Interceptor, Another World, Flashback (which felt like a sequel to Another World, same controls, same character animation), Llamatron, Pinball Fantasies (Party Land and Stones 'n Bones), Syndicate, Paradroid 90, North & South (yeeha), PGA Tour Golf and its expansions, SimCity, Shadow of the Beast (for a while before it beat your ass), Supremacy, Nebulus (sometimes), The New Zealand Story, Datastorm (so fast paced), and many others I don't remember the names of.
Hi, some crackers in there mate, not played half of them mind lol. Loved Desert Strike, only played that Xenon 2 on emulator and was very impressed with it indeed. You enjoyed your Amiga a lot then I guess lol, some quality games for it 👌🏻 I've just done some content of the Lotus triogy, so uploading it today or tommorrow for the Amiga. Check it out if you like dude 😃 Thanks for stopping by pal, appreciated 👍🏻 😊
Still my most favourite machine in the world even to this day, nothing came close, you can't really say top 10 amiga games, as there are way too many of them, top 1000 maybe, current gen you could do top 10 easy, but not Amiga, the only computer in the world where you get excited to put the disc in and waiting on what mind blown melody track awaits you, and what cool pixel art is gonna make your eyes open wide, 16bit is king, only Amiga makes it possible..
Hello mate, completely agree with you, I choose a Top 10 from the games I owned, only had about 50 games as I only used my amiga for about 5 yrs, as I went onto Pc gaming after that, but yes, that feeling of an excellent soundtrack popping on when the disk went in, great memories. So this is just my personal top 10 of my favourites back in the day, not everyone's choice, but mine 😆 Thanks for watching, check out my other Amiga games if you like on my channel, and there will be more Amiga game reviews popping up soon, have a great week pal 👍
@ciabbi Hi there, oh yes I love a bit of Sensible Soccer mate ⚽️ Months of fun playing this in those care free days with my brother and mates, such fantastic times 👍 Thanks for your visit bud. Appreciated, have a great weekend ✌️ 😊
Good choice mate 👍 Definitely another classic, but I've never played it enough to really get into it. Thanks for watching and sorry for the late reply pal ✌️ 😊
@@stewsretroreviews no worries m8, i had em all back on the day, guy spy, shadow of the beast, risky woods, monkey island, another world, flashback to name a few 👍
Ok Leo, lol, they are not missing if I've never played them on my Amiga mate, these are just my personal favourites which I have played 👌 Cheers for stopping by dude, appreciated ✌️ 😊
@@stewsretroreviews Awright, those three Games were rather successful in Germany. And while Turrican was a plattform shooter like Zool the two other Games were a not so common genre. Battle Isle was a round based military simulation. And Tower of Babel is a puzzle game. BTW: You never played Settlers 1? Great Game!!!
Hi mate, yeah, definitely if I'd had them back in the day 😆 This is just my personal top 10 of the games I had back in the day. Never had those ones you mentioned unfortunately 😔 Thanks so much for watching though buddy 👍🏻 😊
The Mega Drive version of Desert Strike was better than the Amiga 500 version. The Sega version had smoother gameplay & I remember being impressed with it being a 16 bit game! Seeing the Amiga port of the game looks awful, the stuttering of frame rates puts me off games. I would rather have lower screen resolution with a smooth frame rate over a higher screen resolution with a stuttering frame rate any day!
Hello there, I disagree with you buddy, when I played Desert Strike back on my Amiga in the 90s, I don't remember any frame rate issues at all, probably my bad gameplay here too making it look bad lol. As for the Mega Drive being a better version, I think they are both good versions, and the Amiga version is definitely not awful I'd say mate and don't think it would be in my top 10 if it was 😜 😂 Thanks for watching dude ✌️
@@janajob78 Hey there, never played Lionheart mate, so got no idea what it's like? Turrican was good, but not good enough for my top 10 lol Cheers for watching pal ✌️ 😊
I've heard it's a good game, but I've never played it mate, this is just my personal top 10 of the best 10 games I had and played back in the day 😃 Thanks for stopping by buddy 👍🏻 😊

Hi there Chris, I did mention the great Speedball 2 which I enjoyed a lot especially 2 player 😀 Also Swiv was ok, but these 10 are the games I enjoyed the most and the ones I owned back in day dude 👍 Thanks for watching mate ✌️ 😊
Hey Chris, nahhhh Sensible Soccer every time for me 👌🏻 😂 Used to play it with my brother all the time in those care free days, and I never had X-com either. My top 10 are just my personal favourites, not necessarily the best top 10 for the Amiga. Thanks for stopping by dude ✌️ 😊

Hard to pick ten but I think I would go with...
Simon the sorcerer
Lemmings
Settlers
Megalomania
Ruff n tumble
Stuntcar racer
Wings
Swiv
Monkey Island
Eye of the beholder 2.
Hello David, really tough deciding what my faves were from memory 😄 I only ever had a small collection of games, so missed quite a lot of other classics.
So these were just the ones I played the most 😊
I must play some of your game choices, sound interesting mate 👍🏻
Cheers for watching pal, and enjoy ya weekend ✌️ 😊
god knows how many joysticks i broke when trying to shoot to spin the ball while playing sensible soccer :) or how many joysticks i threw to wall when i missed a perfect chance to score lol
Hi there, oh yes, Sensible Soccer, what a classic footy game mate.
Me and my brother spent many hrs playing it in the 90s. 😊
So much fun 2 player games, still probably one of my favourite football games ⚽️ 👍
Joysticks 😆
I agree hahaha
And getting that perfect curling shot or header was just amazing fun 😊
Cheers for watching pal, and have a great 2024 ✌️ 🥳 🍻
@@stewsretroreviews have a great 2024 too :)))))
Me, my brother and friends spent a lot of time on this footy game in the 90s 😃 ⚽️ 🥅
It is a true classic footy 2 player game for Amiga mate, and my skills and reactions have certainly gone if ya seen my review of this on my channel, I was crap! 😆 🤣
The older I get the worse I play I'm sure, I couldn't even connect my headers properly man lol
Cheers for watching pal, and hope you have a great weekend 👍 😊
The legendary classic games for the Amiga.
In fact, these are definitely my favourite games:
- SENSIBLE SOCCER
- CANNON FODDER
- LEMMINGS
- THE CHAOS ENGINE
And we all know one thing:
AMIGA FOREVER 😺👍🕹️!
Greetings from frosty and snowy ❄️☃️🥶 Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮.
Hi Ari, the Amiga was amazing, Lemmings could have easily been in my top 3, but I think my top 3 were the ones I enjoyed the best back in the day 😃
Thanks again for watching mate 👍🏻
In sunny but cold UK 🇬🇧 😊
@@stewsretroreviews All good games there and thanks for the video. Keep up the good work. 🙂👍
@John Doe Gaming 2021 Hello John Doe, enjoyed doing this top 10, not easy to choose mind mate 😆
Doing another 10 soon bud, subbed ya channel too, cheers for watching 👍🏻 😊
I try to play these on WinUAE but it seems too fast and the AI is just unbeatable even against weak teams. I remember it being a lot easier when I had a real Amiga
Hi mate, get an Amiga, the proper way to enjoy, I use Amiga Live If I have any game disk problems, it's a good back up I'd say 👍
Great video mate.
Me and my mates bought a Amiga just for sensible soccer!
The memories i have of that game will always be with me.
I played a few other games that you mentioned in this list but the Amiga will go hand in hand with sensi soccer for me!
Hello Paul, great name by the way, its my first name too lol, and yes, Sensible Soccer is very a special Amiga game, as I played it for a few yrs with my brother in the 90s, we loved 2 player games, anyone could win it 😆 ⚽️
I only had about 50 games ever, so this is just my personal favourite games here mate 😊
Glad you enjoyed my top 10, I must do a review of Sensible Soccer at some point too, check out my Pinball Fantasies review, and for a few other Amiga games in my previous content if ya interested buddy?
Thanks for watching pal✌️ 😊
I edited the whole prem, div 234 into sensi in pre internet days...I got names for lower leagues from the write up in the sun...took ages...I made a few mistakes tho ..I put in Nicky Beckham ..I heard about the new crop of utd players none had appeared yet..great days ..still got disks somewhere but alas my Amiga got nicked years ago by a flat mate...smokey I WILL find you! happy days
Turrican and Superfrog was fantastic!
Hi mate, they certainly were, both classics I'd say 😀
Thanks for stopping by pal, appreciated 👍 😊
Great games for great times....I feel nostalgic with most of this time and spectrum times also. Great to share.
Hello there, loved the Amiga after my Spectrum mate, quality games with class music and sound 👌
This top 10 isn't necessarily the best 10, but these are my personal faves of the small collection of games I had, Great memories bud, and thanks for stopping by, appreciated pal ✌️ 😊

Can't argue with them games mate, what a system the Amiga 500 is! Absolutely belting games!
Hello mate, hope your doing ok dude, glad you enjoyed my top 10 here, wasn't easy, as there is another 10 I could have easily chosen for the awesome Amiga 500 😀
I'm hoping to get my Amiga up and running again real soon too🤞🏻
Take care, and thanks for stopping by pal, and have a great weekend ✌️ 😊
Some great picks. I’ll have to emulate some of these as a few I’ve never tried. I did love whirlwind snooker back in the day. And your numero uno is 😍.
Hello Ed mate, try Amiga Live, its really easy to use once installed on PC, and they have a massive collection of games to play as well.
I was amazed when I played Jimmy Whites, as it seemed so realistic at the time lol.
Sensible Soccer is a total classic, oh yes! ⚽️ 😃
Cheers for watching buddy, and have a canny weekend 👍🏻 😊
Top Gear 2 one of my favorites really great memories good old fun gaming ❤❤❤
Hello Kenn, yeah its a cool racer with some nice music playing as well.

Cool games there buddy 👍
I had the Amiga 500, and played a few of those as I only had a small collection of Amiga games lol
Get playing I say mate and remember those great memories of the classic Amiga 👍
Thanks for watching pal ✌️ 😊
Chaos engine , Cannon fodder incredibile soundtrack
Hello my friend,.yeah, 2 classic games with cool soundtracks, the Amiga certainly had some brilliant music at the time.
Thanks for stopping by mate 👍 😊
Usually Arcade = God, at that time. The most important reference was Football Champ (Arcade) so for Amiga the number 1 is: European Football Champ.
Sensible Soccer every time for me mate, my fave footy game for the Amiga.
Thanks for watching dude ⚽️ ✌️ 😊
SWOS is one of the best games ever made in my opinion. Its perfect. My most played Amiga game of all time to this day.
Nice sharing my friend. Left a like for you as always.
Hello mate, got to love the good old Amiga games, some classics in there 😃 👌🏻
Thanks for watching buddy, appreciated 😊 👍🏻
First game I ever bought when I first got an Amiga was Civilization. The very first one. Had another one called Dune, mining spice to construct buildings to get tanks & whatnot to defeat the other 2 faction bases. And Sim City. And Wing Commander.
@mannydavis7708 OK mate, Sensible Soccer was the most fun for me and my brother back in the day ⚽️
I have just bought the PC version for Civilization recently, and it's great 👍
Never played the other ones, sure they were mint though buddy.
Played the pc port of lemmings as a very young kid, with my dad. Good memories
Desert strike was my favourite on my Atari Lynx 👌👌
Desert Strike was one of my first games on the Amiga, classic.
Thanks foe stopping by buddy 😊
Some good games here. Played Sensible Soccer to death, me and a mate used to set up leagues with 20 teams in it and play a whole season. In single player I took Mansfield Town from League 2 to the Prem and then won every competition thereafter including Champions League (the quadruple). I think it ended after 20 seasons.
Other notable games for me included Alien Breed, Apidya, Pinball Dreams / Pinball Fantasies, Walker and loads I forgot now.
@SAFeCRACKeR09 Hello there, that's an astonishing achievement with good old Mansfield Town 👍
Sensible Soccer was and still is one of the best football games ever.
Me and brother played it to death back in the day, but nothing like yourself lol.
And Pinball Fantasies is one of my faves too.
Thanks for watching my friend, appreciated ✌️ 😊 ⚽️
@@stewsretroreviews I think it was Sensible World Of Soccer that I played, if there's a difference?
@SAFeCRACKeR09 Me too come to think of it 😆 🤣
Shadow of the Beast 1-3 ,Rainbow Island-The Story of Bubble Bubble 2 , Xenon 2 The Megablast, Rock´n Roll, Eye of the Beholder, Test Drive 2-The Duel, und for sure all Lemmings Game,

Great days of the 90s 😃
Thanks for watching dude ✌️ 😊
Some belters on this list Paul. I've only played Top Gear 2 on the SNES but looks good on the Amiga, great game
I always felt Lotus 2 is let down by no music, if only it sounded like the original.
Not reviewed the Amiga yet maybe some day

DUNGEON MASTER rulez !
Yes I'm an atarist 🙂
The Atari ST was also amazing mate, Thanks for watching 👍
Nice List ! my top 10 is different id have
Dungeon Master - that game was genre defining
Xenon 2 megablast - that had a pumping theme and is arguably the best blaster
The Settlers
Eye of the Beholder 1 and 2
Dyna Blaster - was a blast with mates, (ha see what I did there :) )
Carrier Command
Defender of the Crown
Hired Guns
Dune
SpeedBall 2 and Sensi Soccer but im already over 10 !
a few other notable mentions like StarGlider, Mercenary, Rocket Ranger, Battle Chess,
Star Wars, Pang plus to many others to mention.

Dangg there's retro and then there's Amiga ... nice find man! :D
Hey Jack, the Amiga was, and still is so cool mate, I had the chance of either the Amiga or a Mega Drive in the early 90s in Dixons Electronic shop.
Think I made the right choice..😆
Amiga Forever!!
Hello Texy88, wow, that just sounds amazing, imagine that back in the day 😍
The Lotus Turbo Challenge trilogy of games were certainly great racers back in the 90s and are still very playable today in 2022.

Hi buddy, some great games, which bring back the good times in the 90s .
Lemmings was always a classic game for the Amiga and something a bit different 😃
Sunderland were always up and down mate, more down than up most of the time unfortunately 🤣

Hi mate. I only had a small collection of Amiga games back in the day, so I've probably missed a lot of classic games out really, these are just the 10 I remember playing and enjoying the most bud, I thought Top Gear 2 was great, and 2nd to Lotus, I suppose everyone has their own favourites games and memories of them back in the day😃

Just one of many reasons its a classic buddy, and a bit like yourself, I missed out on a ton of different consoles and handhelds in the 90s too 😆

I’ve owned cannon fodder on the mega drive for decades but could never get further than maybe the third level? Nice list! I should really try Zool!
Hi John, I got quite far on the Amiga version of Cannon Fodder I remember, the difficulty does ram right up when you get further on. 😆
Still one of my favourites, and fond memories of it, and Zool, a nice little platformer with lovely looking graphics, still not 100% what I was doing in it mind lol, but it was fun 😀
Sure Zool was out for the Snes, Mega Drive and Gameboy I think, definitely worth a blast mate.

@@stewsretroreviews yeah Zool was the village bicycle, every system got a ride 😉
Zool got around 😆
I actually prefer the OCS version of _Zool: Ninja of the Nth Dimension_ to the AGA version, which had those really busy backgrounds that made it really difficult to see what was going on, especially when it came to trying to avoid projectiles that stood out really well against the much simpler backgrounds of the OCS original.
Wings was a great game.Got a good history lesson of WW1 from it too.

Thanks dude, appreciated 👍
i loved my amiga 500+ my best games were fate gates of dawn, dungeon master, eotb 1+2,hunter,legends of valor the list is endless ❤
Of Course Cannon Fodder... Dune n' Monkey Island... The First : FLASHBACK of Course 😊
Hi Damien, I only played Flashback, which was great, and I'll always loved Cannon Fodder, 2 player with my brother.
Amiga forever!!
Thanks for watching mate 👍 😊
Du hast mein Herz bro! Wann treffen wir uns zum gamen? :-D
Hi Markus, glad you enjoyed my 10 favourite Amiga games, thanks very much for watching dude, enjoy the rest of the weekend ✌️ 😊
Bei mir ist jeden Tag weekend ...fuck the System..
You enjoyed your Amiga a lot then I guess lol, some quality games for it 👌🏻
I've just done some content of the Lotus triogy, so uploading it today or tommorrow for the Amiga. Check it out if you like dude 😃
Thanks for stopping by pal, appreciated 👍🏻 😊
@@stewsretroreviews I forgot Battle Squadron. One of the few games on the Amiga that would look and feel identical on an arcade machine.
@@aaronmicalowe Another game that passed me by unfortunately lol
So this is just my personal top 10 of my favourites back in the day, not everyone's choice, but mine 😆
Thanks for watching, check out my other Amiga games if you like on my channel, and there will be more Amiga game reviews popping up soon, have a great week pal 👍
Thanks buddy, have a great one, I will checkout you other stuff soon :)@@stewsretroreviews
yes, sensible is much better than today's fifa, is more truthful and honest
@ciabbi Hi there, oh yes I love a bit of Sensible Soccer mate ⚽️
Months of fun playing this in those care free days with my brother and mates, such fantastic times 👍
Thanks for your visit bud. Appreciated, have a great weekend ✌️ 😊
Mine fave was probably Alien Breed
Good choice mate 👍
Definitely another classic, but I've never played it enough to really get into it.
Thanks for watching and sorry for the late reply pal ✌️ 😊
@@stewsretroreviews no worries m8, i had em all back on the day, guy spy, shadow of the beast, risky woods, monkey island, another world, flashback to name a few 👍
Three Great Games are missing: TURRICAN, Tower of Babel, Battle Isle.
Ok Leo, lol, they are not missing if I've never played them on my Amiga mate, these are just my personal favourites which I have played 👌
Cheers for stopping by dude, appreciated ✌️ 😊
@@stewsretroreviews Awright, those three Games were rather successful in Germany. And while Turrican was a plattform shooter like Zool the two other Games were a not so common genre. Battle Isle was a round based military simulation. And Tower of Babel is a puzzle game. BTW: You never played Settlers 1? Great Game!!!
@leomarker774 Heard of Settlers but haven't played it
Another World, Last Ninja
Hi mate, yeah, definitely if I'd had them back in the day 😆
This is just my personal top 10 of the games I had back in the day. Never had those ones you mentioned unfortunately 😔
Thanks so much for watching though buddy 👍🏻 😊
lookes like you are using an amiga 1200 rather than a 500?
It was Amiga Live emulator mate, thanks for watching 👍🏻 😊
As for the Mega Drive being a better version, I think they are both good versions, and the Amiga version is definitely not awful I'd say mate and don't think it would be in my top 10 if it was 😜 😂
Thanks for watching dude ✌️
Lionheart ,Turrican
@@janajob78 Hey there, never played Lionheart mate, so got no idea what it's like?
Turrican was good, but not good enough for my top 10 lol
Cheers for watching pal ✌️ 😊
Secret of monkey island is a top 3 game for sure!
I've heard it's a good game, but I've never played it mate, this is just my personal top 10 of the best 10 games I had and played back in the day 😃
Thanks for stopping by buddy 👍🏻 😊
Love monkey Island.from what I can remember there was 12 disks to the game👍
No Settlers? No Syndicate? Man...
Ok mate, this is not necessarily the best Amiga games around, but just my personal favourites, I only had about 50 games at the time and these 10 are the ones that bring back great memories and nostalgia with my bother and mates, thanks so much for watching my friend appreciated 👍🏻😊
Speedball2
S.W.I.V
TV Sports football
Dungeon Master
Alien Breed
Hi there Chris, I did mention the great Speedball 2 which I enjoyed a lot especially 2 player 😀
Also Swiv was ok, but these 10 are the games I enjoyed the most and the ones I owned back in day dude 👍
Thanks for watching mate ✌️ 😊
Sensible soccer ? nahhhh Kick off was far better, and X-com too
Hey Chris, nahhhh Sensible Soccer every time for me 👌🏻 😂
Used to play it with my brother all the time in those care free days, and I never had X-com either.
My top 10 are just my personal favourites, not necessarily the best top 10 for the Amiga.
Thanks for stopping by dude ✌️ 😊
ur welcome !@@stewsretroreviews
except for Lotus and Lemmings, all the others are the worst Amiga games of all time 😂
Lol, it depends what games you have really, these are just my top 10, and the games I had at the time mate, a lot of people seemed to like my choices 😜 😊, thanks for watching dude 👍🏻
"the worst Amiga games of all time"
Try Technocop... or Yolanda... lol
@I Believe In Code Thats your opinion, not mine dude, I'll stick with my 10 cheers
*Great Job!*
Have a Nice Week! When you have a little time, check out the news on my channel, you will enjoy!
Thanks for watching buddy, glad you enjoyed, appreciated, see ya later dude ✌️ 😊
