  • Weaving on Country with Adele Chapman-Burgess and Avril Chapman. Creative sisters Adele and Avril are proud Ngarrabul/Gamilaraay/ Yuwaalaraay/Kooma women from the New England area.
The sisters talk about their connection to country and how the weaving circle helps to awaken cultural understanding. The yarning that goes in between the weaving is wound into the product and creates a connectiveness and a way of being present in the circle.

So wonderful to see you enjoying the art of weaving, in our culture weaving involves people by bringing them together. Don't lose sight of your weaving for there😊 in are all your stories.

Hey Aunty's thankyou for sharing something so sacred
Any chance you would run a workshop to share knowledge ? I work for a community organisation for Indigenous health (specifically Social health). In north Brisbane, we are trying to get Aunts from our community out of their homes and meet up for a yarn, I'm Wakka Wakka but unfortunately these days even your own mob seem to wanna make culture a money grab. I would love to hear back.
