@@ExploringThisLife don’t mind me I’m a 40 year old sarcastic smart ass Lol I enjoyed the video it reminds me of myself before the caffeine kicks in at work in the mornings 👍🏼
@@KillHappy101 just saw this comment. Sorry for the late response. The gap between the tailgate and bed bottom would be the only place for bugs to get in I think, and I store my gear bags there, to block them entry.
Pretty slick tent. I used to have a race with my buddy, setting up a tent. I always got the one that had more poles than pockets. A big old air mattress and your set. The hammock idea seemed a good choice as well. Thanks for the content
The tent is great so far. It's perfect for what I needed. I will do an update video once we get everything set for the season. With all the wild fires going on in the West, it's pretty difficult to be outside at all right now. A Kayak will be added soon, as well as cooking equipment and safety gear. And I will be grabbing a camping hammock soon enough.
These are the types of videos I like watching, the straight up first time raw footage of something not going right the first time. I’m sure eventually you got it down but this type of content I think should be shown more…maybe lol but either way thumbs up. So I’m looking to get one for my sierra full size I think it’s a 6-6.5 bed but I have a tool box so do you think I should go with the shorter size or do you think I could get away with the bigger one?
On their website they show what will fit your specific vehicle. I highly recommend this tent for use with your toolbox. Rightline was recently purchased by Klymit I think, so not sure what changes have been made since.
Really appreciate the video. I think we have similar tonneau covers - the hard type that folds up into 3-4 sections. Did that interfere much with your setup?
My tonneau is a 3 section. When you fold the tonneau cover up, it does not interfere with the tent, but on my tonneau, the last section does not move, and the other 2 set on top, which is perfect for use as a shelf inside the tent.
@@ExploringThisLife it was actually pretty cool. We got a air mattress that has the circumference of the truck bed? So that was an interesting feature. Needless to say, can't wait for labor day. Lol.
I just ordered one without a floor. Did you do anything about the holes in the bed to block bugs or anything from getting in? My 6 yr old won’t like ants on him while he’s sleeping 😄
The only thing I would suggest is a covering for the tailgate gap. I use bags of gear to plug the other holes. Hope you enjoy the tent. I love mine, but haven't used it at all this year. We bought a small iff road trailer. Video on that coming real soon.
I have not attempted to use it in the winter time. Winter here can be downright cold and nasty depending on camping location. This winter has been particularly bad. I can't wait to get out camping again once it warms up a bit, and the rain/snow disappears.
@@TheRealJimmy831 I hear that. Last year we bought a Hiker Trailer so we could get out in a bit more comfort. New jobs for both of us this year will likely prevent us from getting out as much.
Yeah, A couple things happened along the way. First, we talked about Honey filming me set it up on the way out. When we got there, I forgot and got pissy with her questions. Secondly I didn't read the instructions. Don't let our experience dissuade you for purchasing this tent, it is amazing and perfect for our needs should we return to truck tent camping. We have since purchased an off road adventure (Hiker) trailer and are loving it.

Cory seems like a real social butterfly 🤣 totally into making a video I bet it was completely his idea 😉 nice tent
Actually, I wasn't aware we were shooting a video. Love the tent, highly recommend.

@@slimshorty615 it's all good. I have a sense of humor that most think is a grumpy old man.
Since the tent isn’t it’s own enclosed space, do you have issues with bugs getting inside the tent?

You have the orange straps in the wrong place. They go in the gap between end of bed and tailgate. Hook them underneath.
