Great video MT! I wanted to say something that I truly LOVE about this community! When I'm talking to people in the chat or watching a TH-camr I trust it is the funnest safest place for me. In my opinion, it feels like we are all the same generation and age and yet we aren't, so along with that comfort I have learned things and heard opinions that have helped me grow as a person. I don't care if I have personally met someone or not, I feel as if I am with friends. This vintage loving community has made me less afraid of people, it has encouraged me to not be so scared of everything in my own life, and it has given me many laughs and snorts while being able to see beautiful items that I have never known existed! It's truly been an absolute pleasure for me personally

You hit the nail on the head. Some of these TH-camRS straight up beg. They call people out by their names when they see stuff at a thrift store. They call people out when selling an item. Its to much to be putting pressure on others to HAVE to buy their stuff! I have watched these two also sell Walmart vases and call it Murano! They are always BEGGING! Thats exactly what it is. They always need presents for their kids. They refuse to get out and work a 9 to 5. Cleatly reselling isnt enough to make them a living. Atleast one of them should have a steady income! Keep the begging off the live shows! Message these people first and ask them if they would like the item before calling them out on a live show! I know everyone knows who i am talking about. These two say resellers have CLICKS. So it leaves them out and they cant make money. I see the same people at their lives that are at all the other sells. They wont buy an 8.00$ item to make an extra 10$. They sure will spend 8$ on something they want! For their home. You cant think that every $5 item is going to make you 100$. Point blank . It takes money to make money. ❤

When the economy is bad and money is tight many don't want to make the necessary adjustments to their lifestyle. They feel like they should still be able to do and get what they did when things were good. Some of these resellers act like they are above getting a regular job just till things pick up. There was a reseller Mikey Bags of Money who got a side hustle doing Uber. He was ridiculed and put down by some.Yet those are the same ones begging on their channels to help them. Yuck!

I have a fear of confrontation, so when I feel I've been mistreated, I bottle up all of my reactionary emotions inside. It's a horrible feeling. If I give myself time to calm down, I can convince myself to let it go, or think of ways to protect myself in future interactions. I recently confronted someone (a "wow" for me) and told them how I felt about the disrespect they showed me. I was emotionally charged at the moment, but was afraid that if I didn't say anything at that moment, I would've lost the guts to do so. I was actually proud of myself for the attempt, and the person came back later and apologized. I could've handled it better, but I am still learning. Human relationships are hard.

Perfectly describes a woman, and her occasional henchwoman, I used to watch on YT. Toxic with a capital T. She would never recognize herself in your description though so her shenanigans will continue. Sadly some viewers become attached to you YT personalities and will buy every broken chipped cracked tscotchke in order to help, in this case, this struggling single mother

Remember all those people we knew in high school? They still exist but in adult form. Loved this! Like you said, these behaviors are across the board, from your neighbors to your YT community. No Contact is the road to freedom
Reacting is 'drawing a line'. Responding is 'setting a boundary'. I really liked that. Sometimes switching a word can make a huge difference. I learned to change the word 'makes' as in "he makes me mad" , to 'provokes' as in "he provokes me to anger". What a difference that made in my thinking and responding.

I found TH-cam during the pandemic when most people were laid off. To supplement my unemployment, I worked for Amazon packing groceries. I didn't expect or ask for hand-outs from others. My financial woes were my problem. That aside, I found the reselling community during that time and was so thankful. Fast forward, and I have unfollowed quite a few resellers because of the subtle (and not so subtle) whining about bills and responsibilities. We are all grown adults. If you aren't making ends meat, then pivot and get a 9-5. I will not be made to feel obligated to buy a chipped "treasure" because your bills are piling up. The biggest reason I have stopped following some youtubers is the drama. As a subscriber, I have zero interest in it. I am here to learn be entertained and buy beautiful things. I have zero tolerance for the narcissistic and holier than thou behavior. This includes a very successful reseller and one who thinks they are successful. As suggested, I will "find my joy" elsewhere.

I don’t understand why someone would publicly bring up something negative about another person and then not say who they are talking about. By doing that it only keeps the viewer guessing which leads them to create their own answer, thus possibly accusing an innocent person. If you don’t want to name someone, don’t bring up anything at all. You’re only playing games with the viewer by doing that.

I love listening to people’s “why” they do what they do. What makes them tick? I don’t however, condone toxic behavior towards anyone, reseller or otherwise. It is not only crude but unprofessional throwing people under the bus and humiliating someone by name throwing and mud slinging.

Your Sally Joe- Debbie analogy describes my family situation. I’m the last of 5 kids; the baby of the family with a big age gap between me and my siblings- all of which just can’t seem to get along. All my life I’ve been told totally conflicting stories making me the proverbial monkey in the middle. It always made me uncomfortable. I always wanted to be neutral but it’s always been hard. I think nobody wants to take accountability for their own actions or inaction. Its so easy to point fingers of blame to others without reflecting on what part you might of played in a conflict. Guess that’s why I’ve always had a fascination with psychology. When your own family is toxic it has an effect on you. I always try to understand the core of problems in order to fix them. It’s human nature to react. If you’re experiencing a sincere human emotion then catharsis can be healing and not worth beating yourself up over. Like you said, somethings happen for a reason and certain things need to be said regardless of the outcome 🤷‍♀️

I think it is the channel owner to say out right that they will not tolerate certain behavior and that they will be removed from participating in the community. I believe as a watcher/consumer I have the option to stay or to go. I think it reflects negativity on the channel owner if it is allowed to go on. I missed this but wanted to comment. I have a feeling about resellers content creators that allow bullying of others to occur in their comments. I think it creates a bad example and creates a hostile environment for others. I’ve seen people simply ask questions of them and their followers attack the person. Then the creator/ reseller allows these comments to remain in the comments.
Sometimes a person just has a question and is awkward in asking it. But they don’t deserve to be vilified for simply asking a question. It almost seems to me that this type of reseller that leaves this encourages this behavior. I don’t like it. I refuse to support them anymore. It’s just too much drama for me. Some have gotten to a point where their group defends them to an extremely toxic level.
I think many resellers/creators have gone thru different stages of growth. Sometimes they have had sales with a group of people for a time and it just doesn’t work anymore. Instead of having a bad break up, as we’ve seen before, and sellers just disappearing without a conversation, maybe if adult conversations were had about why things were not working and how to move forward instead of avoiding them, could have been a better option.
I know to the viewers, we see close relationships disappear and feeling hurt. To us it’s sad. What we want is what’s best for everyone. We understand that sometimes those things cannot always happen. But what’s sad is to see people that are left out and hurt. Maybe we don’t deserve any of that, but as adults, maybe we do.
This community has a lot of really giving people. Many people have helped others start out in this reselling community. There are selfless mentors that give their time to up and comers without expectations. When we see some people like those people mistreated later by others it’s kind of sad.
It’s sad to see people feelings hurt.
We as a community know whose been hurt let’s be real. Maybe 🤔 it’s time for some of those people to make amends.
Wouldn’t it be nice to set an example and show how great this community is by showing others that we can all get along and support each other. This doesn’t mean that we have to get along, but we should be able to coexist.
That means if everyone is in say Ohio everyone can meet together for the viewers without issues. If everyone comes to say Colorado, everyone can get together. If everyone goes to Florida, Vegas,Indiana , Arizona, Texas, NY, Alabama the same. Wouldn’t that be amazing?

Michael,I personally love this new format. I’ve always been intrigued by discussions regarding human nature and basic psychology of what makes people tick. We live in a social media narcissistic society now where people need to validate their feelings with likes. God forbid- you don’t agree with somebody. I feel we still have these reptilian brains that despite our evolution- we still haven’t been able to resolve our differences maturely. I try every day to be conscious of my thoughts and actions and words. Toxic behavior is unfortunately a norm in our society and it shouldn’t be. It shouldn’t be tolerated and probably should be called out. Never justify or rationalize bad behavior. It’s so important to have boundaries and know who you are and not to let others opinions of you portray you any other way than your authentic self. Guess I’m an older menopausal 65 year old woman who tolerated a lot more than I should have all my life and I’ve definitely made boundaries that I don’t allow others to cross. Ahhh, that’s my catharsis! Thanks for letting me vent!😂❤

I had no idea going into this TH-cam content creator world how viscious people could be and how quick they are to believe someone with more subscribers... or actually even less! Sometimes people just want something to be mad at and go after! That is toxic behavior. Insecurity breeds toxicity too! At the end of the day I have to look in the mirror and know who I am and allow those who choose hate to just do their thing... In the end that must be so exhausting!

I know you have to be wore out. So many of your comments are just straight out nasty. I don't think I could handle the h a t e you get. I have never in all these years see people talk the way they talk to you. You need a year vacation from all that toxic mess on your page.

After watching the replay, I had to sit and think. I'm a "processor"-I've got to get my thoughts in line.
I hope I can keep this brief and to the point. I was watching as a vintage/antique reseller but I got a HUGE surprise. I recently started seeing a new therapist because at 62, my life is a CF. Each of these "lives" has opened my mind more and more, to how I think, why I think it and where I need to do some pruning, so to speak. Your humor immediately caught me way back in the beginning because it's like mine and not everyone gets it! So, to keep this short, thank you so much for these talks. They make me really "think" and that's what I need! Much love to you, Richard and the babies!!!

I believe some friendships are only for a season. Everyone teaches us a lesson. Learn that lesson so you don’t have retake one later!
