Hope this could help anyone. I will update after gun range. Also if anyone can send me a link for a good ejector. Thanks
This is a "failure to extract" not a "failure to feed". Its not feeding because the previous round failed to extract. A failure to feed would be if the spent casing is extracted successfully and the next round gets jammed before it can enter the chamber. Also, a stove pipe is were as the spent casing is being ejected, the slide comes forward and catches the casing, causing the slide to jam mid cycle. Hope this helps.
after extracting, I find the next round doesn't chamber properly like it needs some lubrication. does it need to be oiled to feed properly?
Thank you Matt 👍🏾
@@Bravemeister the smoother all the parts work together the better could need to be sanded down some more, I’m having an issue with my first build where I’m not getting the trigger reset, I’ve had to sand mine down more bc my slide would get held up and I would jam, and after oiling it the trigger reset worked on dry fire but at the range it wouldn’t reset after I fire and occasionally would fire more then one round, guys who worked the range told me it was just a break it in issue so now I’m actively trying to figure out how to just make it drop the mag 🤷🏼
i just did a build but when i go to rack and i release the slide it doesnt fully chamber the round. Is this a failure to feed? I tried to force and then fire but all i got was a weak hit, and had to force eject the round. Im not sure where i went wrong in the build but should i look up failure to feed videos?
No one asked
For p80s off the bat go ahead and order lower parts with the gen 4 ejector and get a apex extractor and non lci spring loaded bearing I’ve had 3 p80s and they all had the same extraction/ejection issues
Dónde podría conseguir esa pieza
I bought a p80 frame (g19) with zaffiri precision slide/barell. Gun kept failing to extract and feed. I took my time on the frame and did a super clean job by the way. Watched this video swapped over to a gen 4 ejector and apex extractor and gun shoots like a dream now! Shot 100 rounds and had zero jams or issued at all! Thanks!!!!
glad to hear this video helped you. Were did you get the gen 4 ejector from
Having the same issue with my G19 - Zaffiri Precision Slide/Barrel and . Just ordered the extractor...
I also have had to replace the extractor...in this case with a Glock OEM part. The aftermarket .40
S&W one supplied was actually just slightly shorter for some reason.
The Apex extractor is machined part. Glock extractors are MIM or Mold Injection Molding . Apex is a higher quality part for sure.
It's a failure to extract, but also a "double feed" if the second round tries to feed and gets jammed. One of the tougher failures, because it usually requires the shooter to remove the magazine to fix the problem. "Tap, Rack, Bang" won't work with a double feed.
It'd be a failure to extract or failure to eject. Stove pipe is when the spent casing gets caught between the barrel and the slide during ejection of the casing.
I swapped my ejector (#30274) and a apex extractor. The bearing is different on the end on the non lci to the lci. The spring you get with the apex extractor is shorter so the bearing makes up the difference. Thus why you need a new one. Polishing certain parts go a long ways too. Nice build.
MarineGunBuilder has all the best P80 HowTo videos.
Yes yes 😂
Mgb has a website and sell parts on eBay I just received a trigger set from him for my glock he has clips on his parts on ebay also which is awesome
Its normal to have a failure to feed with a new build. U just gotta run it
You can buy a G19 lower with a G19 Long Slide. It's the same thing
for the G43 should be same function. Get some dry fire caps and cycle . if they eject good then it could be a slide spring issues.
Background music = #Blessed...👑✨👑
You must've had a .40cal extractor.
Unfortunately, Marine Gun Builder is MIA. Site is down, YT channel is down. Any scuttlebutt on his status? He did a 45 min video on failure to feed and failure to extract, cannot find it. Any assistance reaching the OG Freedom Protector MGB, and/or that video, is very appreciated.
TH-cam probably took him down . To many "ghostgun" sales
MGB did inform his followers when he took all his content down. What a great patriot!, but MSM providers like TH-cam have become a problem/risk for content producers like him.

Make sure all your p80 parts are gen 3 I believe u can get away with havin a gen 5 barrel tho.
I built a glock 19 and a 22 tcm. The both did the same thing. The glock 19 would never extract until i took some sand paper an took off some of the black coating on the barrel an it ran perfect every since. The 22 tcm still does it but i believe i just need a lighter guide rod
non-LCI extractors are definitely better (more reliable) than the LCI extractors. Have seen LCI extractors cause failure to go into battery on several Glocks/P80's.
I had the same 1911 in the background with the same punisher grips.
All p80s have the same angle as 1911 however that is a unique frame.
Great video! Mine didn't extract the next round either!
Thank you sir!!!
Mine will eject but not feed. Don’t know why, every shot it does what it does when it’s the last round. Just stays cocked back.
what mag do you have
check where your thumbs are when shooting. sounds like youre bumping the slide catch to me. or using aftermarket mags.
@@frostyan I bought a Glock one and it still was doing it. Is there like a feeding part i may be missing ? Or would it not operate if it was missing something. Sorry, new to this. Thanks for the reply
@@keefer88 check the other comment
@@raofthesun7558 it can honestly be so many small things... First Id check your thumbs aren't bumping the slide lever when shooting. Mine do with the extended slide lever, I have to use the flat OEM style. The stripper block that grabs the rounds from your mag is machined into your slide so you probably aren't missing that. Check that your ammo isn't hitting the slide lever tab inside the frame. Some odd shaped or heavy 147gr bullets can get close.
Im still having problems with my extracting Every time I put one up top it won’t come out and sometimes the bullet gets stuck in the barrel and the gun powder fall out. I feel like the barrel is to tight for the rounds but it works perfectly fine with other ammo but, the one that don’t work are FMJ
Try changing mag and polishing feed ramp
I have the Apex extractor and the gen 5 ejector but the only issue i have is with the glock 10 rd mags. If i load 10 rounds, the 1st round gets stuck. With only 9 rounds loaded, no problems whatsoever.
Thanks my boy
It is also important to observe how the rounds are feeding into the chamber. I have seen at least one
aftermarket Glock22 40 S&W chambered barrel that had too steep a feed ramp for some odd reason...
That can depend on the mag too, I know the magpul 9mm mag has some back and forth play and if it's pressed back the bullet will tilt down and if your ramp is already steep and you got long aol it can fail to feed.
@@whatsmolly5741 Correct ! I have also heard that the magpul Glock magazines
being without the steel liner have issues
with steel cased ammo. I have not used
any steel cased lately but I have had a
chance to fire a box of aluminum Blazer 115gr 9mm through several of the magpul 12 rd G26 magazines. About one failure to
feed every 15 rounds for the whole box. Make of it what you will ....8) ALWAYS test your magazines before serious use regardless !!!!
dude. the non-lci bearing is bigger. that's the difference.
also is it me or is his Extractor a LCI?
@@StrainXv he had both.
I just bent mine straight with pliers works great
Why can’t I see the other side of the striker anymore?
Try a 20 pound recoil spring
I'm working on a P80 and it's been nothing but headaches. Got a timney trigger for it but can't get it to reset worth a damn. Now, I can't get a round to feed or extract properly. It's my first build; maybe I should have gotten better parts. Don't want keep pouring money into it.
That's how it is , with cheap parts . But could be the future and finish also. See if you have a Frend with a factory glock and put the parts on yours p80 if it works then you know it's a part issue. If still doesn't work keep on cutting and polishing
Adjust the angle of the connector and make sure the kick up on the cruciform has at least 2/3 engagement with the striker lug.
After polishing, seems to be feeding ok. I also went with the stock trigger over the Timney (go figure). I haven't fired it yet. Once I know it's working flawlessly with the stock trigger, I'll reinstall the Timney and see how it goes. Or, maybe I'll buy a Glock and use the Timney there. Not going to waste that Timney!
Mine g17 looks exactly like yours my slide just looks a tad different it’s a rock island upper kit
Nice build man thank u for the advice
That's a double feed/failure to extract, your extractor is the issue.
I'm dealing with a failure to feed, not failure to extract.
Specifically, every round ejects, the following round sometimes catches at an angle, where I'll clear the failure by using weak hand to pull the slide back, and let it slam home. Most of the time it then feeds.
I changed mags, that reduced, but not eliminated the issue, from brand X, to ETS mags. I've gone through all my checks, cannot prevent a failure 1-2x per 17 rounds.
Any tips? Anyone? Much obliged in advance.
what pound spring are you using
and are you using the same ammo . or does it do it with all types of ammo
I have a Glock 26 every 3rd round it jams and the shell won’t come out unless I take the mag out
did you add any different spring , like the main slide spring. Is it like not coming completely out every third round. check the pound # on the slide spring . and what Ammo your using . Always test with ball 115 gain ammo.
Mines doesn't feed the bullet gets stuck half way when chambered. The bullet gets scraped in the bottom of the shell.
Try switching the type of bullets first. FMJ
@@frostyan my friends p80 has the same issue. Failure to feed. Round gets stuck halfway any time he tries to chamber a round. Tried Magpul pmag and ETS mags. Also tried 3 different types of ammo.
Anyone solved these issues ? I’m havi g the same thing
I’m not sure if this helps but I had the same problem with my P80 G17 build. The first maybe 5-10 times I tried to chamber a round it would get stuck halfway I immediately polished the barrel feed ramp and put some ballistol on it I’ve never had a single problem chambering a round since. I’ve put 250 rounds through it.
I ended up not being able to get their spring on and used old spring
That Apex Extractor is 56 dollars now 😳
Jesus christ, newbie glock fanboys are getting fleeced. Being uneducated is getting REALLY expensive these days.
@@Camelfacekamala Shit crazy
I think I’m having the same problem when I cock my gun back as if putting one in the chamber and keep doing so as if im trying to clear all of my bullets out my magazine it gets jammed about every time I do that. Does anyone know what I can do to fix it?
It's because they changed the name u cab still find this frame
@2:45 a shaving fell on the table. What was that
Good eye , thats my nightstand gun. Have it in a mini drop safe . Must be the foam from inserting it
Thanks
Hey man so I was watching your failure to feed video and I noticed that you have some wicked custom grips on your 1911 I have been trying to find grips for my girls and was hoping that you could tell me where you got yours. Nice video and thanks
Man i got those grips over 14 years ago i cant remember. But just Google custom 1911 grip plates. With todays tech they probably have cooler ones
Ebay has them even 14k gold ones 1911 Hella customable
So this is the problem to my glock 26 jamming? I have a clear ets mag I still need to get a new mag
Lol I don’t think there is a way to get confused 🤣 what THE HELL!
You had me until the punisher scales.
I recently built a P80 Glock 43 but I’m having a similar issue can anyone help me out with this?
That's a 336 ejector not 366. The old extractor should've fell out on its own you should've looked for an issue why it wasn't and you could also try an oem rear slide plate, the old extractor should work fine.
That mag is the problem lmao
Beautiful piece bro what kinda trigger upgrade did u get??
thank you , trigger is an overwatch
It looks like the ejector is bent
Only Glock 23 slide is compatible with Glock 19
Are you talking about the bullet getting jammed between the feed ramp and the barrel? I’m having that issue
Same, did u figure it out?
I've built a lot of P80s and never had this problem at all. I think you got the wrong extractor. Maybe for a smaller or larger caliber.
maybe , rookie mistake or they sent the wrong one
I got a p80 mines was having a bunch of miss fires
It’s the bullet retriever/extractor have to put a curve in it compare parts most p80s come straight put the curve in and the difference is night and day
Lol what?
im having a similar problem but my rounds keep getting caught on the striker poking out
Are you using gen 5 mags?
What kind of slide do you have on your build?
PLEASE HELP dealing with g26 p80 build fired round shell won’t eject at all matter affact is their such thing as the slide not moving back at all ? Possibly my rear rails need a sanding lmk thanks for the video
wow that does not sound good at all. What guide rod spring weight did you put
Question
Where did you find the parts needed to fix the feed issue ?

@@NOLACKINGSLIME looks like your gun is extracting and ejecting find. its when putting a round in the problem. Have you tried changing Bullitt type. Hallow points vs FMJ ?
Any update on the range trip and the functionality of the pistol since extractor upgrade?
Yes, so took gun out to my friends farm but only shoot a box of 100 arounds from Winchester target 115 ball ammo. I had only 2 failure to eject but they were with the MagPul mags not one issue with the Glock mags. So yes it did work with out any issues and I did get a custom ejector for Ebay and it worked better the the 336 factor G3 ones. Hope this helped.
Question? Why didnt you just mill and build with Glock parts?
Have you priced new factory Glock parts? The prices will have you yelling "RAPE!" all the way to the Bankruptcy Court.
These weapons can be used with real ammunition?
No
Dude both grips on the frames are the same .....lol all good tho
actually they are not
Do I need the same spring that comes with the apex extractor?
Yes unless you lost it. Then use what you got
Swap out your ejector for the gen 4 ejector.
The gen 4 OEM Glock ejector from midway ( under 5$) is a cheap and immediate fix for the double feed issue. Ultimately, those who are experiencing the same issue work backwards and spend less $ by purchasing items in steps resolve your problem ; gen 4 ejector(5$), all steel extractor gen 4 (17$) and gen 3 OEM recoil spring(8$)---do yourself a favor get all OEM parts.
Never mess with the internals of the Glock, Keep it stock and you'll have no problem.
My point exactly. Everyone wants custom this custom that. Just dress up the outside and keep the inside oem. It’s all eyewash anyways

Do you have to buy a apex extractor or is there a cheaper more cost friendly version??
I herd wolf makes one for $ 30 . Let me know if you get and how it works
Did they give u a .40 by accident in your kit??
Maybe. Not sure how i could tell . What else could come for 40 other than extractor. Fire pin and springs i think are the same from a 9mm
After changing those parts did it fix the issue for you?
Yes , but when I used Pmags it fail something , works great with the glock mags
Mines shoots and won’t load in another bullet it just jams and I have to take out the clip
Take off your slide and mill down more give your spring more room to play take off some more we’re that doing goes the medal on the the insides were that U is should be dead even or stick out a little more than the polymer than sand it
@@junethaaloccc1306 I don’t understand a word you typed
The area were your spring slides you know when you get the frame and u have to cut out that I shape were the spring slides take more of that off on the sides you want the plastic even with the rails and make sure your slide realesse spring is sitting flush not over the plastic that’s the most common issue I would take it out and reinstall it push down on the front really hard so it sits flush when u look from the fron u shouldn’t see it sticking up
Go watch p80 Ralph how to properly install a slide lock he is pretty good
Prolly "clip" related, try using a magazine
How tf did u get it on
Just remove the back plate and the rod comes out the holds the ejector pin.
