Just came from the Wonder of the Seas two weeks ago and (playing craps) earned 4099 points. I put about $4k into play over the week and lost about $2k overall. Already booked my first free cruise! :)
If you want the best payout rates you need to do max bets. Also, if you want prime status quick with some decent jackpots, you may want to change the denomination of your bets. So I set the machine up from 1 cent to like 10 cents so then I was betting $25 per spin. I didn't wait for the machine to spin, I just kept hitting enter, enter, enter. Then, I reached 2,500 points in no time. The only downside I should have quit when I was ahead by $10,000 but I was so focused on the points. And while you're betting larger, you get bigger handpays, but then both the federal and state want to get to know you. Despite being at a loss, I will still owe up to a few thousand in taxes. But I have to weigh my pros and cons.
This is a great comment, Jeremiah! For those who are trying to get to Prime quick, are focused on jackpots and handpays, higher bets and denoms are the way to go! My approach is from the budget gambler who's trying to spend a little as possible to get to Prime. Also, the email offers you get from Royal are also using 'expected theoretical losses' as a part of the algorithm. A big component of that is time spent in the casino. So, if you let's say spent $500 max betting over an hour in the casino as opposed to min betting over many hours, you may have a better theo wth the lower bet scenario. You'll get lower tier offers, but likely more of them. It's all super interesting!
Question: What was your craps strategy for it? If you do hedged, do they count all your total bets towards your average bet size? I was planning on just doing $100 on the pass/don't pass to get the points (I heard that they don't count odds towards your average bets.)
We will be on Utopia in February which we got from an instant cruise offer from our June sailing on Vision where we earned 1530 points on $800. To finish at prime in February we need 970 points. Hoping we can make it with the same $800 budget. Fingers crossed. I'm a fan.. thx
@Fantiniastic ty sir! I appreciate the subscribe as well. As you can see we are just getting started. Like you said, doing it to have fun and share info. Keep it up and maybe we will run into each other in the Casino.
My mother and I are taking a 5 day cruise on Royal Caribbean after we get off a 7 day cruise with MSC. Do you think we should put our gambling money on MSC and Royal Caribbean- or do you think we should put all our gambling money just with Royal Caribbean? We were going to play on one card and spend $200 per day for both cruises but maybe instead throw all that money at Royal Caribbean instead. What would you recommend? Both ships are new to us-
@@olivebasket1 Hi! Thanks for the question! When you get on MSC - look at the comp list. The casino host will have it. Each point is $2.50 cycled through the machine, so you can estimate how much you might lose to get a comp (though it's gambling so nothing is guaranteed). If it were me, I'd save my gambling for Royal, it's far easier to get comps! Good luck!!
@@Fantiniastic ok, that makes sense. Now that I think about it, I doubt each ship is capable of keeping a tab on every Royale member in an onboard database.

Awesome!!! Congrats
Congrats on your Prime as well! Woohoo!@@Fantiniastic
We have been wondering how your quest was going! Thanks for the update. We both got to prime during that time as well.
Yessssss! Congratulations! It was a real roller coaster ride for sure

I played a hedged craps strategy and got prime on a 7 night cruise. Boarded with 900, left with 300. I try to avoid the reverse ATM's.
Haha good advice!

Great to see you back, worth at least 10k probably more like 15k money well spent....enjoy your next cruise and keep posting...thanks buddy
Thank you!!!

I am confused. You can’t get your cumulative points total, points from first cruise added to current cruise, instantly?
So you're points do get added to the website, but every cruise starts at zero for that cruise, if that makes sense
