  • If it seem like things have been a non stop parade of incredible customer cars in our shop you would be correct, we've noticed that too! In today's video we dive into Steve's "showroom stock" '68 Malibu to start checking off a few things on his To Do list. High on that list as you've probably noticed late, is a rear gear swap and setup.
With that rear gear we're also looking at a speedo change and a few other things... unfortunately as it seems to ALWAYS work out that no matter how much planning and prep you do there's always at least a couple curveballs ahead. But one challenge at a time, one bolt at a time and we'll get there.
We very much appreciate all the cool and stunning cars our customer trust us with, this car being very high on that list. You'll see just a bit of it in this video just how truly NEW this car really is, like if you walked into a Chevrolets Dealership in 1968. Hopefully you all like it and appreciate the work put into it as much as we do.
In this video we've also taken the opportunity to show a bit more of how a rear gear setup goes, you all have likely seen several of our Chevy 10 bolt videos lately and this one shows a bit more of that process for those who are interested.
Huge thanks as always to all our subscribers, followers, fans, and customers who have made our business successful and gotten our channel to where it is today. Special thanks to the SRC / Street Racing Channel / SRC Garage / Old Man's Garage / Junkyard Digs folks for showing such amazing support for us over the past several months. Without all of you we wouldn't be anywhere near where we are today. We hope you enjoy this one!

Good evening Mr Lucore, thanks for bringing us another classic for us to learn from Rich in, this one reminds me if my first car a 70 Malibu!😁

This thing since we first saw it is absolutely stunning, you really don't see many people commit THIS far to a factory showroom stock build. Hopefully it brings back good memories!

I know it doesn't happen often but isn't it so very nice to work on something that doesn't have you looking like you have been working in a coal mine after working on it. Lifelong Ford guy but can really appreciate the pristine 68 Chevelle that is in even better shape than Bills Malibu. Great content guys. Grew up working on those cars. First car ever was a 68 Mercury Cougar XR7. Sadly it was not as nice as that 54 year old car and it was a six year old Ohio car when I owned it.

Most everything you came across today was helped by experience. You can't buy that. You do awesome work and take much pride in it. You have an awesome shop and would bring my camaro to you in a heartbeat if you were close and have no worries about it. Ohio is looking pretty good lately.

Again thanks for the good content and true American work ethic and pride in what you do.

Bent Shim method, GM training by a common sense guy. For setting backlash. Hope those India made axles hold up to our American made asphalt. Yea the USA needs to build our own parts again. It's coming.
