  • The gospel can be an uncomfortable message. It’s a message of sin and its consequences . . . but of course the remedy found in the Lord’s sacrifice. But that discussion can be so effective in an atmosphere of encouragement. It’s what their heart needs wrapped in what their heart wants. And today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out how to be an encourager in the tradition of Barnabas. As we study the book of Acts today, we’ll see how we can follow in his reassuring footsteps.

you so did encourage me when your son died, right after the same time, my brother 10 years younger than me died from an overdose after 6 years in rehab in Sweden, now 2 years ago my son was murdered in Australia Darwin, the involved are still going through our court system. I learned some very unpleasant things about his death, but... my son was a born-again Christian, and God's Spirit reminded me of you and your son and what you had to do that weekend after it happened, he also said he took my son home for safekeeping. I believe this as my son had become somewhat tired of living, as his wife left him 7 years earlier, he tried to comply with what she wished him to change but couldn't. . I have had great comfort with what you went through then. thanks, brother in Christ. please do pray for me so I can learn to eat again as I lost all appetite.
