  • Have you ever seen your child face something pretty tough? Maybe it was an important medical procedure that was quite painful. You knew it was necessary and helpful in the long term, but your child just focused on the suffering. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie helps us trust our Heavenly Father to know what’s best - even when there’s pain in the present. We’ll learn the encouragement that comes when we focus on the future benefit, and the present presence of God in our lives.

I have questions along this line, why do we as believers have to ask that question to start with? Has the Bible gave us any reason to ask the question? Or is the Bible lack answers to the question?
In all my walk with Christ and studying the scriptures, no where suffering was excluded from the believers. If any Christian had to wonder why they suffer perhaps then they have to ponder on the question of faith and perseverance.

    1 Peter 4:1-2,13 KJVS
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; [2] That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. [13] But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
Out of the mouth of two or three witnesses.
    Philippians 3:10 ESV
that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,

Leviticus 19:28 New King James Version
You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the LORD. It doesn't say You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh or tattoo any marks on you for the dead. I am the LORD.
