I then killed Gut and Dror and the entire goblin camp but Minthara had already left to go prepare to attack the camp. Halsin went off to help them but they were too weak, they all died, so I then killled minthara and the rest of her goblins, after I long rested. So none of my companions left the party, but I was forced to kill Karlach, and when Halsin attack I tried to non lethal attack him but he died anyway. So, in my recent evil playtrough I sided with Minthara and never bothered to visit Halsin. When I looked for him the next day he seems to have escaped on his own, which makes sense since when you interact with him he is able to free himself from the cage. Yeah in my Dark Urge playthrough, I started a rebellion at the grove, in which the only person left alive in the whole place at the end was Silfy who had for some reason moved to where he stands if you clear the goblin camp. Anyway, sided with Minthara, got to grove and just walked to Zevlor's room where Minthara was waiting, broke her neck during the party celebrations and ever since have been expecting Halsin to show up because just like with you, when I went to the Goblin Camp, all the goblins and their pets were lying dead and his cage open. Im curious, how do you get this outcome? You rescue Halsin in the prison and then tell him to wait there, go up and speak with Minthara and then massacre the grove? And he's gonna just appear during a long rest?
I took a long rest just before departing to mountain pass after I freed Halsin, destroyed the grove and explored everything including underdark. Where was he the entire time? I just pressed "attack", because he didn't bother to defend his home himself.
Halsin so useless he didn't even came up in my Durge run to claim revenge 😂 Well, I think he was wise enough, he would have ended like Alfira, probably. I wasted time freeing him (just to kill him later) and he didn't even show up 😂
Geezus, i don't have a lot of rpg or dnd experience, but this is the first time I've witnessed all options leading to the same outcome. Now i understand that viva la dirt league video
how does this happen? like what circumstances / sequence need to happen for Halsin to escape the goblin camp, make it to the grove, but survive the whole massacre and come for you?
You need to release him from his cell and tell him you'll kill the leaders. Then instead of killing the leaders you raid the grove. You can't help him escape because that locks out the raid the grove option
do you have to set up camp in the grove or something for this? I raided the grove and never had Haslin come to my camp, I looked for him in the goblin camp, he broke out, never fought him at the grove so i have no idea where he is lol
Im terms of logic I would actually doubt that the group would have a chance against the archdruid at their level (halsin probably would already be max level considering his age and status)
I think lore wise he should be around level 18 as an archdruid, but for balance reasons he's only level 5, in the game the max level is 12 so that should tell you how powerful he is
Natures balance wont cure even if character is dead lol did he firget theres all kinds of monsters and bad guys all over the world fucking shit up? Lol
I stole the idol, the druids went aggro on tieflings and killed them all, then the druids attacked me as well and I had to kill all the druids. After a long rest, I discovered that the center of the grove was covered in a poisonous cloud and Shadowheart got an inspiration point, something like "the sorrow of Sylvanus". Afterwards, when I went to goblin camp and found Halsin, I told him I killed all the druids in self-defence. He was like, "well shit, but okay, the leaders still have to die". So I killed the leaders, went back to him, and he said he'll "meet me at the camp after he takes care of some business first". He never came to the camp. Is this a bug, or just an unfinished quest option?
man I freed him then destroyed the grove on my current run and I'm just confused how I never saw this no body near the grove, no scene at camp, dude just completely vanished from the game and I'm almost done with act 2
Well I'ts understandable in this case that YOU choose to free him and still raid the grove so no matter what you say he is angry at you and will try to kill you
Honestly how did this scene trigger? When I went back Halsin was gone and I long rested quite a few times and nada Do you have to free him first and tell him to wait while you kill leaders?
In my playthrough I stole the idol before anything else, causing chaos to ensue in the Grove. The druids assumed the hellspawns took it and a fight ensued leaving everyone dead. When I rescued Halsin, he just disappears from the map after being freed from his prison, never to be seen again - so I reloaded my save and killed him before he disappeared. 😈

Im curious, how do you get this outcome? You rescue Halsin in the prison and then tell him to wait there, go up and speak with Minthara and then massacre the grove? And he's gonna just appear during a long rest?
Yes, exactly in that order, although first you have a party with goblins and then in the next sleep he will come.
Astarions reaction 😂
I took a long rest just before departing to mountain pass after I freed Halsin, destroyed the grove and explored everything including underdark. Where was he the entire time? I just pressed "attack", because he didn't bother to defend his home himself.
Halsin so useless he didn't even came up in my Durge run to claim revenge 😂
Well, I think he was wise enough, he would have ended like Alfira, probably.
I wasted time freeing him (just to kill him later) and he didn't even show up 😂
Lmao I butchered the grove and Halsin never rocked up again.
He's so hot when he's angry
OMG you killed Halsin. Shame on you!
It's funny, I did the "Evil run", sided with minthara, wiped out the grove and never had this cutscene with Halsin.. idk why...
You have to help Halsin out in prison so he knows who you are, first.
Yeah the game does that sometimes. I killed Kagha, and apparently Karlach's supposed to hate you for it but she didn't care.
This is all the power an "archdruid" has to offer? Pathetic.
I could never hurt Rolan (wifey), Mattis (my son), or Silver (poor bb has been through enough). So the Grove will always be safe from me.
But.... WHAT YOU DONE?!!!
Astarion: Yes very sad…. anyway-
Tell me...was it worth it?
Me, thinking about Minthara:
ABSOLUTley
Why you making daddy mad?
Geezus, i don't have a lot of rpg or dnd experience, but this is the first time I've witnessed all options leading to the same outcome. Now i understand that viva la dirt league video
i freed him from jail and then sides with minthara and i never got this scene damn
how does this happen? like what circumstances / sequence need to happen for Halsin to escape the goblin camp, make it to the grove, but survive the whole massacre and come for you?
You need to release him from his cell and tell him you'll kill the leaders. Then instead of killing the leaders you raid the grove. You can't help him escape because that locks out the raid the grove option
free halsin, tell. him to wait by the prison, go out, talk to minthara to raid the grove, then just raid the grove and he'll come during a rest
Seeing Halsin angry makes me sad. He's my big bear daddy 😭
He’s too sweet fr fr
you dont get it halsin... there is this baddie drow that has only 1 romance scene if I destroy the grove...
Oufffff “only your death can restore it” is doing things to meeeee NGHH 😮💨
Blud would bust a nut in their pants if they ever got a death threat irl 💀
do you have to set up camp in the grove or something for this? I raided the grove and never had Haslin come to my camp, I looked for him in the goblin camp, he broke out, never fought him at the grove so i have no idea where he is lol
Im terms of logic I would actually doubt that the group would have a chance against the archdruid at their level (halsin probably would already be max level considering his age and status)
I think lore wise he should be around level 18 as an archdruid, but for balance reasons he's only level 5, in the game the max level is 12 so that should tell you how powerful he is
I just wonder how little it takes to upend nature's balance, seeing as how he almost goes into a murder rage just from being in a city
To be fair that WAS Orin pretending to be Halsin. She was probably rolling hella deception dice for that improv.
yeah the real halsin does say he's not a fan of being in the city but isn't anywhere near to being in a "murder rage" because of it
Natures balance wont cure even if character is dead lol did he firget theres all kinds of monsters and bad guys all over the world fucking shit up? Lol
Bro never showed up in my playthrough😂
All I need to do is beat the goblins abusing Halsin and then tell him to stay put while I side with Minthy, right?
Is this a bug, or just an unfinished quest option?
in my game he just disappeared? I think he just died offscreen
If you don't talk to him before doing the massacre. He breaks free but he doesn't know who tf to blame, lol.
@@Alforbia well that makes sense, nemxt PT im gonna be a good guy with wyll karlach and halsin im done being evil with Dark urge xD
So what happens if you knock him out instead of killing him on this fight? I'm curious
man I freed him then destroyed the grove on my current run and I'm just confused how I never saw this
no body near the grove, no scene at camp, dude just completely vanished from the game and I'm almost done with act 2
I killed the grove and sided with minthara but halsin never showed up hmm
This is why I just straight up nuked minthara.
Wait how do I even get that ending?
Wait how the heck do you get this? I've done a couple evil runs but halsin always just appears dead in front of the Grove after the goblin party
Does Gale say anything?
It looks weak when the developers give us players the illusion of choice
Well I'ts understandable in this case that YOU choose to free him and still raid the grove so no matter what you say he is angry at you and will try to kill you
Why does his voice sound odd
Was it worth it? I got some sloppy toppy from a girl that's evil. Yeah it was worth it.
"You upended natures balance" buddy I think you and your grove did that long ago when you decided to let an owlbear freely nest in your territory
Honestly how did this scene trigger? When I went back Halsin was gone and I long rested quite a few times and nada
Do you have to free him first and tell him to wait while you kill leaders?
This is the evil route. I assume its freeing Halsin and then attacking the Grove.
Guys I think only his death can restore it
"Was it worth it?"
*Thinks back to Minthara sex scene.*
"...Yes."
RIP BOZO 🎉🎉🎉
In my playthrough I stole the idol before anything else, causing chaos to ensue in the Grove. The druids assumed the hellspawns took it and a fight ensued leaving everyone dead.
When I rescued Halsin, he just disappears from the map after being freed from his prison, never to be seen again - so I reloaded my save and killed him before he disappeared. 😈
