Any idea about approx monthly cost for running an IMAX theatre? Is it very difficult to breakeven? (Just wondering out loud why it took this long for IMAX to come to Kochi)
Main reason is lack of competition of theatres in kochi. For example pvr will only bring imax if cinepolis is bringing one in tier 2 city such as kochi just like pvr brought imax to tvm only bcoz cinepolis announced that they are bringing one in future...

PVR Priya is the Best IMAX in India which have 12 channel also But Kochi will have the same visual experience but sound may be 6 channel if it is 12 then will be next level

@@Sarath_nair Footfall still isnt nearly as good as they expected from what I heard. ഞാൻ ആകപ്പാടെ ഒരു സിനിമ മാത്രമേ അവിടെ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ളു. Furiosa. പടം ഇറങ്ങി 4 ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞാണ് ഞാൻ കണ്ടത്. ആകെ മൊത്തം 15-20 ആളുകളെ ഉണ്ടായുള്ളൂ.
@@Sarath_nair Plus Trivandrum already has amazing theatres like Aries Audi 1 (which I think is the best theatre in Kerala) at very affordable price because of which most of the people I know still prefer going there over Lulu IMAX. Because of PVR's dynamic pricing I have heard many Tvm friends complain of Tvm IMAX pricing during peak releases when they can watch same movie in 2x 4K RGB with 64 channel Atmos at Aries instead of paying 4 times for 2K Xenon at Lulu.
