WHAAT a GOOD HORSEY! Did you see that @7:22 ... merely by bending over to touch his leg he lifted his leg // hoof up ... and then calmly held it there..? ❤ Amazing.
Aloha! We had Kamehameha Day Parade today it's Saturday here and I saw all the women dressed in mu'u mu'u and flower leis on horse back. I didn't stay for the parade but women were dressed beautifully this morning riding horse. We have ranches thru out the state of Hawaii and the Paneolo's here care for their horses. We need more people like you that care for the horses you service.
We actually do a lot of shoeing with toe clips! Toe clips have a time and a place and are a useful tool in bringing back the toe, or helping a horse that previously has struggled with a Negative Plantar Angle!
For our shop, we have exhaust fans that pull the smoke out fairly effectively! Being outside, the best option is just making sure you have good air flow, maybe with a fan?
Barefoot trimming is super beneficial in its own ways! For horses that need some more support, though, we think shoes are also healthy for the hoof, when applied correctly!
noticed a commonality among Oaklawn Park race fillies - ack of sole depth & flatter/wider hoof edge w/a medial straight spot. 🤔 like nascars tires wear & warp from only making left turns, it affects equines hooves, leg joints, tendons, etc. ... good vid, Lee!😁
hey, great video thanks a lot. if you fit the shoe to hoof while watching the wall, how do you know you'll hit the white line with the nails. an answer would be great 😀😀 many greetings 😀😀
The best forging instruction I've seen yet. Keep them coming. I'll be engaged & learning.
Thank you very much sir! We appreciate the support!

Very educational..thank you…👍👍👍
I’d have left that nail and blocked it an extra blow. Aim high air force.
But then again I freely admit that I’m an old school hack
This is how i know im a girly girl.whenever i seefreshly buffed nails on a horse,i just want to paint them

Why don't American farriers use toe clips???

Any suggestions for when burning the shoes on you don't breath the smoke?

Shaping and nailing on is not easy, which is why a lot of people who try it give up and go to barefoot trimming.

Never heard that one before, more non sense,55 million on years, now they need shoes, bullshite.
