The full title is "Reiwa Dating Apps Generation". It's basically about people who are constantly on dating apps & how they turned dating from romance building into just a hooking up game, plus the damage that the mentality of that could do (if you didn't notice, the guy got attacked by a girl with a knife at the end). The story is that Yukina wrote this song after finding out how many of her friends were using dating apps.

This is my favorite song with a video, I love it. This band is so amazing and I think you may have reacted to all the videos so far lol, I scrolled down and passed at least "L.C.G" that I saw. I was scrolling fast though, so I wasn't looking for any others. I'll get to them as I go up lol. For strictly audio tracks, which are great for reactions too lol 😉, I highly recommend "Sunrise Miso Soup", "Genkai Numa Life", "Our 7days War". These songs, the fans pretty much universally agree that we want them to make videos for them. They're so good. "Our 7days War" is my favorite song by them. Matsuri's voice on the chorus is beautiful. I have been addicted to the song since I first heard it lol 🤘🏻🖤🤘🏻

Sunrise Miso Soup is a labor of love. Once you’ve got it down it’s kind of inspired but it’s difficult to put it together at first. Once you get it you know you’re a true graduate of the school of Harajukucore.
Want to TIE-UP may be disappointing from a meaning point of view 😜 but it’s actually potentially the best track on the album. Choirs of angels and a devil just do it for me, apparently.

@@Kurisutah I absolutely love what these girls have done. They have some serious talent for mixing genres and making unconventional structures work, they seem to know how to have fun too. I think my favorite track is "Want to TIE-UP" followed by "Reiwa Matching Generation" (this song) and then Invisible Wall. their ADO cover is also utterly brilliant but it's not an original, or on any album or EP, it's just here in TH-cam land.
In most of the world rock and metal has died because record companies and the media have settled on what was the safe bet back in about 1999 - 2002 when the Internet basically killed their profit margins. this led to none of the companies wanting to spend money on new styles or marginal genres (Rock and Metal most definitely had fallen out of favour then) and they stuck to mainstream pop, boy bands and rap. People buy what you sell them so you can see where that goes. Japan has been a bit different as bands and idols can monetize their output through merch and CDs still (not streaming and MP3 downloads), and the locals understand and honour intellectual property rights, unlike most of the rest of the world, including Korea. This means this kind of thing is possible in Japan when it just isn't in the US or UK or AUS, presumably. An example of why Korea fails in this aspect is rolling Quartz - great band, as good as any J-Metal band, no real exposure domestically at all. :/
That's why young people aren't known for liking this kind of thing and I'm glad it's infectious and attention grabbing enough that some are, even if it's only a few. Rock will never die if the torch finds just one runner into the future. ;)

According to Wikipedia, the official interpretation (and english translation) of the term "Reiwa" is "beautiful harmony", so its use in the song title is intentional and intensifies its poignant criticism of the current state of japanese society (kudos to Nanaka who managed to sum up the lyrics' content concisely in just one sentence - thumbs up!). Good to know: The Reiwa era began with the ascension to the throne of the current emperor, Naruhito, May 1st, 2019 (so we are now in the third year of the Reiwa era) and may be used during the whole time of his reign, but in case of extraordinary events, or whenever this is seen as a necessity, that name might be changed and replaced. Stay healthy, and retain your beautiful, intriguing personality! In short: Keep on your lovely sway!
