I think that at this point it has been nailed into everyone's heads that Steam Decks are literally a portable desktop pc and are honestly an amazing development of technology
It doesn't get in the way when you charge it the switch has it on the bottom and I can't really play it with I charge on the wire without it hitting my stomach
This is one of those things that is absolutely groundbreaking for the first gen but takes until the 2nd or 3rd gen to really perfect its craft. Definitely picking one up once the kinks are ironed out

This handheld console more powerfull than any device I ever used. Not a huge bar to pass, but still impressive how much they could compress into something so small.
The cool thing is that it's also very easy to take apart and do things like swap the back plate out for a better cooling fan, swapping thumbsticks, and replacing the battery. It's so repairable.
I was so happy when I received my Steam Deck in the mail. The first thing I did after linking my Steam account was setup EmuDeck so I can emulate a s*** ton of games. Then I found out about Decky, and then a bunch of Steam games caught my eye, and.....it's a total joy to use. Battery life varies on the game you're playing, and how much you're pushing the Deck to run them at its optimal settings.

They have every excuse not to, the only way for people to play their games is either buying a Nintendo Switch or through illegal emulation which they have every power to DMCA. (I still miss EmuParadise) Even still, they arent even obligated to make a good looking game for their releases to immediately sell out.

Yeah, I use it in desktop mode a lot since it's easier to bring than my 17" laptop, works very well with Bluetooth keyboard+mouse, and external monitor when I need it.

Performance is around 30 to 40 FPS on games you expect the PS5 to run (so it runs them around the same spec as the PS4). Great looking console games on the go is a serious plus and it makes the Switch look like a kid's toy. Also great for emulation - EmuDeck covers everything up to PS2 era consoles, and it's the only console that comes close to emulating PSP games with the same kind of charm. WORTH.
My best friend bought one off Ebay for, like, $800 because he didn't wanna wait for his pre-ordered one to come in (it won't be until the end of this year or early next year). The Steam Deck is INSANE.

I recently got one & I’m blown away🎉 it’s crazy how much power this handheld has, F1 2019 is a joy to play on it & Gta 4, it even ran gta 5 online, only down side is the battery doesn’t last that long, maybe 3/4 hours of play time if not less.
At this point we’ve mastered the design of mobile and on-the-go gaming consoles. The Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, and Wii-U all look incredibly similar.

It's big, heavy, it's like holding a flame thrower for most games... I used it a week and returned it. I've gamed on PC since a kid in the 90s, a lot of the rpgs and rts games I like were just a nightmare to play.

it’s not as smooth as you think. do some research and watch reviews before you buy. this thing doesn’t perform as well as you’d think. the battery life is also doo doo. i’d rather go with a Nintendo Switch.

It's big, heavy, it's like holding a flame thrower for most games... I used it a week and returned it. I've gamed on PC since a kid in the 90s, a lot of the rpgs and rts games I like were just a nightmare to play.
