That was truly an epic trip; nicely done!
Awesome trip!!
Now that’s wide open !!! Wow looks like soo much fun !!
One of those legendary trips, awesome you documented it. Man I wish I was on that boat..
Dayyyyam some crazy action brotha
Thanks! Been planning to take my son out for a overnight trip for his bday. Thanks again for the great info and footage. God bless
That sounds like great memories in the making!
The colors on that mahi! Great work Edward
Thanks! Yes the colors are incredible
When the bite is on…. Unbelievable! Great job Edward 🙏
I've never seen that many yellow tails caught before. On any charter! What an epic trip. Great video bro 👍
That looks like so much fun ‼️ Nice 1 🍻
Great trip! Especially the Dorado.
Looks like an awesome time, makes me want to get out there. Enjoy your catch!
Man.. I was on a trip like that last year in July. It's hard to explain the chaos unless you are there. So much fun
Phenomenal vid, Edward! What a honey hole!
Yellowtail is my favorite fish to catch and my favorite delicacy!
Edward what an epic trip. Definitely made it worth it for being at dock waiting for 2 hours. That action looked insane, fish flopping, gaf pulling fish out of the water left and right. It looked like an insane bite. You must have been tired when you got home. Amazing vid man!!
Things happen for a reason Steve! That captain knows what he’s doing and knew putting that marker on the kelp would be the best bet! And yes we all napped on the way home
Lol, now that’s a realtor I want!
Tons on action! Hectic having to go over and under people all hooked up!
Yea it was wild! This wasn’t even all the footage 😅
I am rewatching this for luck and to imagine what it could be like on my upcoming 3 day trip on the royal star. Love these videos for inspiration Ed!
3 day trip! Whoa! Good luck bro! I hope you get em!
You must be stocked for a year! Awesome bro!.
Almost! Haha we got a new freezer so we have some more space
How many crew members does the Legend have 7 crews for each day of the week.
Another smash the like button video!
appreciate it bro
Nice Job Ed. As a third option vs live bait or Iron, Nomad makes these hard bait (stick bait ) lures called the Riptide series. Serious game changers for the pelagic fish including White seabass
Wow looked so fun. Cant wait to get some dodos going in 3 weeks
Get em! Late august is a good time supposedly
He made more on the sell other than the trip. lol
Duh. Most realtors won’t take that money and buy you a fishing trip with it though. Lucky to get a gift basket or a Christmas card.
That is one of the craziest days I’ve ever seen. Hot fishing for the first 45 minutes.
Going out on the Legend for a 2.5 on July 27th. Was this about that time last year?
September
How was the diawa proteus for that Lexa? I was wondering as I observed a lot of diawa proteus rods have a pretty wide range of line on them making them hard to gauge if you haven’t felt one in rl. Do you think the one you were using on your Lexa was a true 55-100 pound stick? Was the back bone hood to fight something like a 70 pound bluefin or was it more of a yt stick? Thanks 🙏
Dude my uncle just dropped some off cooking while I watch 🤙🤙
Who’s your uncle?
@@Hook2Cook uncle Bobby ya he dropped off 2 frozen steaks of the yellow turned out perfect 👌 🎣
How do you find the sponsored trips. That trip looked amazing.
Just got an invite from my realtor Albert since we bought a house with him.
Did you eat the heart tho?
Yes! Going to post it on IG for you
My yellowtail record is 38 lbs.😊
Looks like a great time down there. Do they process you catch?
They can process it or gut and gill… whatever you want really
what percentage did the realestate guy take for both the sale of old place and finding the new place? did you get a discount?
Yes he discounted his rate and got us $25k over asking, but the market was different then. Interest was almost a new car rate! 🤓
What size hooks were you using? If you mentioned it in the video I missed it… never mind, 1/0 gamagatsu ringed 🍻
My cousin and I noticed the micro bait too…. We finally got them to bite on a pink 1 ounce buck tail 🤣🤣🤣🍻
Yea it was 1/0 perfect size and the bail swam naturally. Bluefin?
@@Hook2Cook no, Dorado on a small patty
That combo proved awesome for you, but would you have done it any different if you had your choice of gear (bigger reel, left vs right hand wind, longer shorter rod, faster or more parabolic)? Not often you get so many opportunities to critique equipment in a single trip!!! Thanks!
Actually can’t think of a better setup for the fishing we were doing! Everything lined up with the rod strength and castability
40 lb test? You should've been able to bounce those fish over the rail, hell of a trip though, way better ive ever had
Haha not sure if the rod would be able to handle 15 pounders being flipped
@@Hook2Cook Yeah, why risk it? Don't want to snap a friends rod for sure!
That female deckhand ...gaffing...tagging...and telling you to get back out there.....awesome....nice trip...good numbers.
Thanks for for the mention! Hope to see you next year!
Sorry for all the cursing lol. 😂
