They quickly climb up to their perch and settle in chirping as they watch me put their blankets on top of their cage. Then I turn off one of the lights and I get ready for my nighttime routine. I remember when i was little i had a pet budgie i brought EVERYWHERE. So when i brought my budgie to my Gramma's house, it decided to take a little nap. So as it was sleeping, my Gramma saw the budgie, of course with no experience my Gramma called me and said, "HIS NECK CRACKED!" as she screamed it woke up and did a little stretch.

Yesterday, before i went to bed, i made sure there was a blanket on top of my budgie's cage, but there wasn't one so i found a random white blanket. Then, as i put the blanket on their cage, i found one of my budgies sleeping upside down on the top of the cage, and now i know why
this is my 3 budgies sleep schedule: First I change their food and water so they can have dinner, after they are done with dinner they play for a bit whilst i go grab the blanket from downstairs or do something (usually they play for around 15-30 mins) after they are done playing outside I slowly bring them back to their cage and wait for them to cool down, (usually I will just let them play with some toys in side and get settlled in) I keep the light a little bit dim so they kind of know its time for them to sleep, after 10-15 minutes i put the blanket on their cage (half covering their cage) and close the lights.
My budgie coverS his face in his back. But lemon hangs on the cage bar, pins her eyes and bite the bar it's like she is dead 😆. Benji also sleeps in a weird position. He stands on the top of the swing which looks like he is falling. Then he balances with one leg. It's so scary. Btw, love your videos✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧. It's ok cause I am pretty sure that jack is missing you from better world. Legends never die
My female and male sleep together 24/7 and she tucks her head in her wings while he's upright. Funny because she's a lot more skittish, that's heart warming.
I've had my two female white budgie's for 2 months now and I put them to sleep at 9pm with lights off, blanket on their cage but not covering the front because I have a pet cube on so I can keep a eye on them from my bedroom at all times. I get them up at 7:30am right before I leave to work. On weekends when I dont work, I let them sleep till 10am but they wake up at around 9am on their own. They now know when it's bed time! I tell them..."time to go to sleep babies!" And they each jump on their own swing to sleep. Popcorn on the back swing and Angel on the front swing.😁🕊️🕊️💤

Not sure yet. I just caught the male budgie today. I have been trying for 8 days since he showed up last weekend at my wild bird feeders outside. Right now I just have the cage covered. Thing is I've realized he was in with the flock of house sparrows that come to my feeders. He does not respond to budgie videos but speaks sparrow when I play house sparrow videos. I've named him Captain Jack Sparrow because of that. - Heidi

Super late answer, but I got some info here about my budgies: I have a male budgie who can easily get uncomfotable during night time. I've noticed he was climbing the darkest corner of the roof of the cage. Once I covered the cage more properly, he calmed down and slept on the perch. So I think it really depends on the bird and where it grew at the first place. My female seem to not really care about it.

I'm a night owl and have always worked nights. Now that I'm retired, after so many years of being up at night.....['ve put my budgie on a midnight to noon sleeping schedule. It is working out,. and If I have to be gone or run errands, I do that before noon so she'll have me around while "up". And sometimes she'll sleep 14 hours, or take a short late afternoon nap.
Alen ! I have 5 budgies in my home 3 girls 2 boys. 2 yellow and 3 white. And then, our two white birds became bonded. But, one of the yellow boy budgie is always disturbing the bonded pairs! And every time, the yellow budgie will be disturbing the girl budgie from the bonded pairs. ! And now the pair get inside their pots, and layed eggs too.! But till now the yellow budgie never gives up and, disturbs the girl from the bonded pair. Do you have any solution for this ?

Ramadan Kareem I have a baby budgie who my aunt gave me because apparently the parent's of the chick escaped, It's so beautiful, It's white with pastel colours around It's wings,tail, and chest. I feed him every 1-2 hours everyday, I feed him bread in water, I warm It up in the Microwave, For about 15 seconds, I make It warm enough for him to be able to eat, For now, he's just a naughty chick. I would really love some tips & tricks if you don't mind. Thank You for your attention. Please never feed bread to a bird. You will kill him. Buy millet seeds and budgie seeds for your bird. There is so much info on the net about what to feed budgies
@@harmangill5972 No, Bread is fine, aslong as it's wet and easy for them to eat, My budgies love it, I feed my 4 week old budgie who has feathers and now flies bread, he loves it, he gets fat because of it 😊

Budgies have preferred places to sleep too. I had budgies, and they 2 had there own favorite sleeping places! It's normal :)
