I love the pun game. A nerdy pun that might have been missed. The mole boss’s name was Avorgadro, who came up with avorgadro’s number used in chemistry, and this numbers most common name, a mole. Yes, the boss is a pun on his own name.
You got the Alien's Rock, nice! They put that in after Tyler from his channel Aliensrock put a lot of time into this game. Love Peglin so much, endlessly replayable :)
Couple tips: 1.) You can increase the play speed in the menu, and set it to go fast or slow pace using the F key mid game. (The icon that looks like a fast-forward button on the screen) 2.) Like a lot of Slay the Spire inspired roguelikes, this game Super emphasizes specialization. Runs go best if you focus in on something specific for your orbs to do, and usually it needs to work well with your relic bonuses.
29:48 One thing the game doesn't explain very well is how peg upgrades work. For example, the Best Foot Forworb says it gives a peg +10, but until you see it in action, that probably means nothing to you. Essentially, upgrading a peg means that specific peg will cause more damage after a board refresh (or similar effect) causes the peg to become hittable again. So if you hit the peg again in the future, it'll be more potent.
12:30: I played some kind of early demo, and found that aiming for the one I didn't want to go to was surprisingly reliable. 16:28: Isn't that the sitcom about an asexual person and a pansexual person being roommates? 33:55: That's why you can pay to get rid of balls. Just like in deck-building games and their mutant cardless relatives. Which I guess this qualifies as. 41:33: Big 'if'.
So, "fate" is the most powerful accessory in the game. Been nerfed a number of times, but it's just still, somehow insanely good. A run blessed by the round squirrel will always do better then any other relic you could have picked up, period.
That’s fair, for a couple year period it was prominent (on XBox at least) as one of the best cheaper puzzle games available on 360. It was VERY good. Developer PopCap (also had PvZ) got a lot of acclaim for it before the company was bought out. If you had the option to play Peggle in front of you right now (don’t think you can on most consoles) I’d highly recommend it. It’s the pegs from here with a pinball feel - the puzzle being to hit them all quickly with gimmicks, not enemy defeat like here.
I thought I already watched Dan play some of this, but a search didn't turn up another Peglin video, and now I'm just deeply confused. o_O Where was it I already watched some of this game?!
"After Shadow of the Erdtree i think we should do some shorter games" and so begins the 50 hour play through of peglin 😉😂
If you were wondering, all those research points do is fill out the Encirclepedia, and all that gets you is lore and developer notes!

Aha
So I wasn't the only one who noticed.
Greetings to you, fellow nerd 🤓
And the tree minion is the Avogadro Tree
Further missed opportunity to make it Avolegadro though, but perhaps that would have been too on the nose.

He also got the Spiffing Brit's Spiffy Crit!
And the Prime Rod of Frost for Frost Prime
Apparently the research points unlock additional stuff in the encirclepedia (presumably in the entries for each enemy)

Great, now I'm going to spend ANOTHER 60 hours in Peglin.
Same
I didn't know this existed and now I need it
After playing this game on 2x speed for hours and hours, watching it again at 1x is like watching it in slo-mo
That's the opposite of how this is supposed to go!

Would love to see more of this.
I need more of this. This little game seems so wonderful and fun
I wonder if the Spiffing Brit's infinite reload exploit still works, clearly they saw his video.
Yep. Had a good chuckle when I saw the "Spiffy Crit".
Oh I had heard of this game but never had seen it until now and this is rad
I had a good time in Peglin some months ago, but I've yet to check it out since the 1.0 release. I should give it another look.
This...does look like an addictive timesink
31:30. SQUIRRELS! ALWAYS PICK SQUIRRELS!
Wow a rare triple pun! I'm thoroughly impressed!
PEGLIN!
1:32 noooo the cheese

the music gives me Crash bandicoot vibes.
19:10 I can't be the only one having to do a double take...right?
At what, the bull horns with a bull face dangling under it?
Peglin Poglin Peglin Poglin!
I keep meaning to pop back into it now that it's 1.0...
I love this game! but some of the late-game achievements are crazy hard and specific, I think they were planned when the game had less conditions
ngl i thought peglin was a goblin trying to peg people
Are you, by chance, a "Goblin Slayer" fan?
It's a peggle goblin. A goblin in the form of a peg, perhaps.
Ah, another Alfie reader
Perhaps it's just a goblin named Peggie?
@@mohamedal-ganzoury3699 Or maybe the one with the dropped S
Currently on sale on GOG!
Everyone might also consider Roundguard, If this looks interesting.
Dan please im begging you dont get me addicted to another roguelike i have 3 beautiful no kids at all and they need me
I had zero interest in this game, but this actually looks like a good time! Might grab it later.
It's games like this that always confuse me at the start, because I had never heard of peggle. Only pachinko and plinko.

@@jsloanhpi Ah, PopCap, that explains it. They got me with Bejeweled.

Obligatory algorythm comment, also, love your content

I loved Peggle Deluxe, but this isn't doing it for me. Too much faffing about.
