I’m trying to take off front tire of my sons Honda 110F and can’t figure out how to remove front brake cable from the arm. I saw how you reattached it but couldn’t crack code how to take it off
Take the cable off at the handlebar by loosening the cable all the way first. Then with the cable completely disconnected at the lever, loosen the lower locking nut until it comes off the threaded part, then pull the threaded part up and the cable will come out of the slot then the end can be pivoted to remove it from the brake arm. Hope that makes sense..lol..
@@tysonrust9887 Oh got it, so that helps with smoothness of the lever pull and prevents wear on the cable end. Without it you will have extra play and wear but it will work fine.
Can I move the arm of drum brake to allow for more adjustment !! I have brand new drum brakes and it's really a pain in the ass my brake lines are at full adjustment top and bottom to get any kind of bite, I think I need to take actuator arm and move it a couple splines down
@@TepcoCycleRepair nope the two little dot marks are perfectly lined up . I bought the bike brand new it's a 21 crf 110 and I don't understand why I have to be at full adjustment to get it to bite soon as a pull lever, I don't want it biting halfway then my hand getting in the way when braking! Can I move the arm a few splines and see if it helps
@@TrickRacing I see, use the adjustment at the bottom of the cable to take up the slack of the cable until it grabs the way you like it. I don't recommend moving it on the splines.
@@TepcoCycleRepair the problem was I ordered a crf 110 +5 length brake cable and what I got was a +5 brake lever for a crf 100 . Which is why it was to long and didn't work
The part that rotates at the brakes is stuck. Just grab it and rotate it. This happens for two reasons. 1. the pads are extremely worn 2. Someone rotated the arm on the shaft at the brake drum. I believe I touched base on both of these in the video. Check out 4:55 and 8:30
1:15 is at the lever then after that just loosen the lower nut on the lower adjuster all the way off, then pull the adjuster up out of the holder. I see I skipped that, my apologies hopefully this explains it.

Good video, helped me a lot. The plastic at the end of the brake line came off when I tried to re attach it. Will this affect the brakes?
If you're talking about the boot, it's there to stop dirt from getting in the cable housing.
The clear plastic at the end of the cable. At 1:15 you see it when you take it out of the handle

Someone might have already moved it. Set it to the marks. If you go beyond that, it could jamb the actuator and lock up your brakes.
