I agree, even if they separated the bikes from the cars just so we could use the bikes on the tracks. A Tourist Trophy DLC pack would be great. It could probably work.
Motorcycle licence is harder than car driving licence and he doesn't have car driving licence yet. You need to have good ability to drive in normal roads but also need to pass bike handling tests and those are hardest part of motorcycle driving licence.

All we know is that after the release of the Suzuki Hayabusa, motorcycles were limited to 300km/h. And almost every bike is electronically limited to that magic number to this day.

They purposefully give you a random direction as late as possible so you can learn how to react quickly to something unexpected showing up in your path while riding. Has literally saved me from crashing with a passenger.
I learned it the hard way when using a high-power eScooter (so, about the same as a starter motorbike), ended up with a stoppie going over bars. That experience taught me how to avoid stuff better. which saved me from crashing into a box truck.
It's not a pain if you ride bikes in real life. It's kinda weird tucking in during the straights, but an awesome feeling using the wind as an additional stopping power. Can't really compare it with cars.

Also motard is the term for bikes that are essentially dirt bikes with road tires, the riding style is different because you hold your foot out on the inside instead of putting your knee down. This is done because a dirt bike or motard seat is much higher than a sport bike, naked/standard or cruiser.

I remember renting that as a kid. I had no idea it was made by the same people as Gran Turismo, but one of my first thoughts when playing it was "wow, this looks just like GT4." I looked for it again a couple years later but forgot the name, and oddly "motorcycle game like Gran Turismo 4" didn't find anything about it so I forgot about it till just now.
You know someone knows nothing about bikes if they don’t even know that bikes have front and rear brakes separate lol Its also better to use the front brakes the most and use both brakes only for when you have to brake hard. Love your content Dustin ✌️
This game is the SINGLE REASON I still have my PS2 up and running and even bought an expensive upscaler after the CRT TV broke. No, not even for GT4. There are other games like GT4 that can somewhat fill that gap today. No game can replace of Tourist Trophy. It is, to this date, 17 years after its release, THE motorcycle racing game. Nothing even comes remotely close.

Tourist trophy is the goat bike game. I got into it by just doing endless laps of trial mountain. After a week of being addicted to it I thought I'd check the forums and it turned out I was 5th in the world for trial mountain haha. The ducati is so good.

The ones I love the most are those where you go through a lesser known / forgotten game from a few generations back, like this one, Sega GT or Tokyo Xtreme. I have a recommendation of an unique game from that era, which you possibly know / have played but I didn't see any video about it: Auto Modellista, made by Capcom for the PS2 / GameCube/ Xbox. That game is one of a kind in so many ways, the cel shaded visuals, customization options, garage builder mode, it's just so different from other games of the period! If you've never played it, you're in for a treat. I recommend playing the GameCube version, it is noticeably better than the PS2. Cheers, keep on producing great content!
17:52 Doing unintentional testing, i found that tucking increases handling (in ur case dustyedna) and RPM increase. The increased rate of RPM can actually be harmful to some bikes when hitting top speed because high speeds are maintained for less time.
Yeah, no, motorbikes are fucking terrifying as a concept. Where a car has a ton of metaa weighing it down and limiting how fast it can move and accelerate, a motor bike is essentially just an engine, a seat, a pair of wheels, and a steering wheel.
I've been riding motorcycles for about 21 years now. Yes, they are riskier, But also more rewarding. Funny thing is though, I never knew polyphony even made a motorcycle focused game so It'll be my first time playing this now.
If you've never played the four ATV Offroad Fury games on PS2, I highly recommend them. ATV Offroad Fury 4 is the best IMO, best music and four vehicle types to choose from.
This is a game that I've known about and owned for *YEARS,* yet I have never bothered to even pop the disc into my PS2 to actually try it out. Honestly this video made it look just interesting enough to actually give it a try. It's literally the only other HD game I own for PS2 other than GT4, so at least it will be a visual treat. Kind of like this video - the editing was crazy.

The test at 38 minutes is not a troll test. It is probably a test of your reaction time and hard turning skills. I had to do a test like that while learning how to drive an atv, bikes probably have a similar test
I'm not a developer, but considering that no simulator have cars and motorcycles, I would say that the physics of a car and a motorcycle are incompatible, and it is not possible to create an engine that simulates both cars and motorcycles in a realistic way.
Finally, an "exclusive" Motorcycle Racing Games (as an "DLC" version of Gran Turismo 4). Yet until this time some Motorcycle Game simulator have been made from Italian developer, Milestone as "Ride Series". I really wondering if Kaz want to revive this game.... PD do base their license tests for Gran Turismo on real life racing license lessons, so it makes sense they did the same with Tourist Trophy
The problem with Tourist Trophy is you have to hold L1 down to duck and it's just an absolute pain doing that for most of a race.

I have R1 as the tuck button, L1 as back view and select as change camera, Everything else is default and it works just fine for me.

PGR 4 is fully playable through xenia on pc, actually doesn't have a sound bug that plagued 360 version and was never fixed

If you want a challenge just play ride series. It little more realistic than this.

The Rune would be sick, agreed. A Goldwing/Valkyrie cup would be fun to watch. Also, I don't think the game has Adventure bikes either. Not that there's any reason to race a Super Ténéré or an Africa twin on road.
