1980 Suzuki PE175 restoration build. Restoring the PE175 back to it former glory. Main features are gas tank (fuel tank) polish and stainless steel wheel spokes.
Great to see another local doing restorations on bikes. im currently working ona. 88 DS80 resto. Thanks for posting this as the 175 was my next project bike ive been eyeing off.
Awesome job mate. I do the same thing, restore them old two strokes. Good job on the tank too. And it's all the other little details that make the difference.
Nice I had an 83 PE175..I would race RM's and blow them up and practice on the PE..never touched it and never blew it up..unbelievably hard to kill machine...engine is like a ER185 but heaps more rpm.
In the US the national forest is managed by the Forest Service. There are some trails that you can ride on and a requirement is a spark arrestor to supposedly stop forest fires. The rangers that patrol the parks know nothing about dirt bikes so, if it doesn't have a sticker or stamping saying it's approved then they will ticket you or throw you out. The stamping is Suzuki complying with US requirements.
