      what did you use in order to use the headphone jack on the razer kishi controller since the razer kishi controller does not have a headphone jack? I wish game controllers have a headphone jack instead of trying to rely on bluetooth for audio. It's lame that you need to have a subscription to have all the features on the back bone controller since they are blocking certain features behind a paywall. I don't trust subscription services from any company since they can remove features and content anytime they want, increase the price whenever they want, block certain features due to a paywall and they could be bought from a company at any time and end up like google stadia.

      @Iuri Grangeiro for an android device if I am paying around 800+ for that chipset and controller I would sooner add another 400 and get a decent pc handheld that will be more versatile and play pc games. Android is good for emulation but beyond ps2 and a bit of switch it's not getting any higher at the moment outside of streaming. So I would need to in the market for a new phone then I would get it.

    • @sethsez
      @sethsez ปีที่แล้ว +35

      @@iurigrang The advantages an Android handheld has over a phone are thermal performance, battery life, ergonomics, and a lack of distractions. Building something with the intention of making it a gaming device from the beginning means you don't have to make many of the compromises that are needed for a general-purpose phone.
      Now, whether an expensive Android handheld makes sense next to an x86-based handheld is another question, but when it comes to handheld vs phone there are some very legitimate reasons to prefer a dedicated purpose-built device.

    Bro, I have the RM6 Pro and it's literally the best phone I've ever had. 165 Hertz display is no joke, I usually keep it on 120 Hz. But the performance is astounding, I paid for the extra 16 GB RAM version, and I'm so glad I did. Most phones require at least 12 GB of RAM to be comfortable, as 8 GB isn't enough. Android system takes a surprisingly 6 GB to run, so anything under that is just dog poo. But 16 GB?? That's more than both my windows and Mac machine. And there's absolutely nothing I can throw that it won't run. It's even a couple generations behind, but rocking a Snapdragon 8 gen 1 was the best idea I could have waited for. Was going to get the 5S, but thank God I waited. Got it when it dropped around my birthday, so it was a nice gift to myself. I can run Wii, GameCube, PlayStation 2, damn near anything. Would be surprised if it couldn't run PS3 or X360, if the emulators ever surface. But the RM8 Pro??? Man I'm so jealous of that UDC technology. It looks so clean. And the new boxy look honestly reminds me of my Sony Xperia XA2 ultra, biggest phone I ever had. Not quite as tall as the RM6 Pro, creating a wider more cinematic experience, but it was definitely the biggest in terms of overall size. This thing might finally top that. I would love if they had some kind of trade-in program, upgrade my RM6 Pro to an RM8 Pro. 2 years later, and it's the best care I've ever taken of a device lol only one time you gouge and tiny scratch this thing has come after all of the falls and damage it is had to it. Still looks damn near new! So a very solid and sturdy phone. I should have broken it at least five times over, but I will tout this phone for the rest of my life. Thank you Taki, for showing off this amazing device. More people need to know about this company and their phones, they are perform anything on the market. 🙏📲🎮🕹️💜💯
    Edit: by the way, that Diablo mode is absolutely crazy. I can push 3Ghz on this device under Diablo mode. That is absolutely insane! 🙏🎮🕹️📲💜💯

      I run between 4-6x resolution on most games in aether sx2 on my Galaxy S22 Ultra (year old phone) with no fan

    Someone on the fence here; would you say there have been any significant software bugs or deal breakers, that otherwise prevent you from using it?
    Really looking forward to replacing my Razer Phone 2 after 5 years. All after replacing the battery, the back glass cracking and fixing along with thermal repasting and a great vinyl skin to cover up all the scuffs on the frame, even dremel-cutting pieces of steel pc case fan covers into perfect replicas of the speaker grills to replace those, done all i could to hold on. The usb c port is giving out with no parts in sight, donor phones being long stripped by owners less fortunate, I can only charge wirelessly now, issues being an aftermarket battery, while attempting to top up during the day.
    This looks like the spiritual successor to the RP 3 concept. I just hope that the software is as reliable.

    When coupled with a good controller, Kishi, Kishi 2, or backbone Android, you have a great handheld with great CPU/GPU, 6000Mah battery, 6.8 inch amoled, BT 5.3 and wifi7, 65W fast charging, 256GB/512GB, 12/16GB DDR5......but for me it's the squared chassis that swings it for me. This should fit perfectly in the Kishi 2, or backbone, previous RM phones have a rounded backshells that can make the controller fit less secure than a flat backshell.
    I'll leave the anbernics and retroids for 18 months and get one of these instead.

      I am glad that they did not go with the rounded back this time around. They proved that was never necessary.

      @@TakiUdon I guess they realized that to be a true gaming phone, most people would pair it with a Kishi2 or backbone and that a flat blackshell would be important for gamers to get a good sturdy fit. Nice to see they considered this important for gamers.

    May I ask what is the gear that you make the headphone jack out?(Maybe you already mentioned somewhere else). Also, what is the controller? I can tell it's not the kishi controller you mentioned in the video description. Thanks.

    • @TakiUdon
      @TakiUdon  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is the Kishi controller in the description. The headphone adapter is just a normal angled 3.5mm adapter.

    Great work as always :)
    Can you recommend a guide for Skyline?
    I have a Galaxy Tab S8 with SD 8G1 (non plus) and I can't get BOTW to start even though I've imported product and title keys and tried some custom GPU drivers. I used an nsp rom without game updates. I've tried combining the base game and update NSPs into one file but that simply crashes the emulator. Not sure what the deal is.

    • @Mosestylez
      @Mosestylez ปีที่แล้ว

      The emulator isn't fully developed and can't fully run BOTW amongst other games yet...

    • @TakiUdon
      @TakiUdon  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Do other games boot (Sonic Mania)? If so, it's probably the exact GPU driver you are using. That being said, BOTW won't probably be stable for several more months with Skyline.

    Hi, what's that audio adapter you're using with the Kishi v2?
    I have a v2 kishi and would definitely love to have a similar set up that would incorporate a 3.5mm headphone port

    Guys, keep in mind that this is still a phone. Don't compare its price to other handhelds. Also, if you like to carry a separate handheld and a phone at all times you're not the target market of this device.
