Another question! Following the instructions, the 8mm screws that hold the top of the hull together sit proud and mean the deck doesn't sit flush. Did you find that? What did you do to worksaround this? Second question - did you glue the hull sides together or just rely not eh screws? Thanks! John
My deck was held on with magnets. The entire hull was permanently glued with the exception of the rear access seam, which remained attached via the stainless bolts provided in the kit.

where did you get the 1/48 scale kit? i have been looking for that scale submarine for a long time.
If you watch the video you'll see that the kit came from a Chinese manufacturer called Arkmodel.
