- Susie Campbell, Alison Pendle and Thomas Connor are 3 characters who's stories all interlink and each one in a tragic way. In this Bendy and the Ink Machine Chapter 5 theory video we look at fate of these three characters and how both Susie and Alison became a version of Alice Angel. As well as Thomas Connor and his transformation into the Boris we meet in Chapter 5 and his connection to both Alison and Susie in the outside world. The story of BATIM keeps getting more and more interesting with each new chapter.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tom remembered everything. He remembers his name and Alisson mentioned that one day she was messing up with something she shouldn't have and, for some reason, Tom was there, which implies Tom knows who she is and is protecting her. He just can't talk.

I wonder if Joey wanted Henry to become Bendy. Henry seems to be Bendy's creator, and thus would have the deepest connection to the character.
Most likely because Joey knows that Henry was the one who drew bendy in the first place and Joey wanted Henry to be corrupted

So, in order for Joey to keep the secret, he trapped Henry into an endless loop, playing the same chapters over and over again. Henry's actual body is being used as Bendy and Henry himself is stuck in his own mind.

I learned something new about Alice [Susie]. So she did turned out to be a lost one or searcher maybe just a puddle of ink, until she could have been killed sometime and become a perfect version of Alice angel like she wanted to be, but someone pointed this out. They said half of her face was ripped off like someone had squeezed it, and she says it herself “I will not let the demon touch me again” she might have been attacked by bendy and that’s why she is so messed up and only half of her face was destroyed nothing else really, so that’s my theory about her. She used to be perfect until bendy attacked her and now she is trying to fix herself and stays hidden as to not be seen by bendy.

You see, the studio could all just be a story, one Joey tells himself over and over. The dead workers in the real world haunt those stories, coffins in them. Alison and Tom could just be living a good and happy life elsewhere. Of course it all depends on your interpretation of the game

What if everyone is stuck repeating the same fate because they’re in a cartoon. Bendy died when he finally saw ‘The End’ of his cartoons, so maybe they have to repeat the same cartoon to avoid ‘The End’. Otherwise, everyone would have a final death when they see their ending.
I think that Bendy is actually dead, now that he has seen his end, but he still exists in Henry’s cartoon because Henry hasn’t seen his end yet. Susie Campbell is still alive because she hasn’t seen her end yet, no matter how many times Alison Pendle stabs her.

There was one chamber with a Boris body so it could've been Tom who wrote that. I'm seeing a lot of theories in these comments suggesting Tom hasn't lost as much of his memories - which I suppose makes sense, seeing as he was familiar with the Ink Machine and all the industrial parts of JDS that others aren't. Wally could be too, but he never spoke if he is Boris. Borises seem unable to speak.

I have a theory about why Sammy is a cult lunatic. What if it's something like Darth Vader? He tries to protect Susie but when he became an ink monster, he sees Susie's coffin and think she's dead. "He'll free me from this inky prison." I think it'll free his soul and not his human body. He wants to see Susie in the afterlife. When he gets betrayed by Bendy, he loses it and goes after Henry the player.
Edit : Although he got killed by Bendy, which could've freed him, he was probably revived the same way Henry was through an inky tunnel. When he realizes that he can't die and always respawns, he vents all his anger towards Bendy (mentally) and Henry (physically).

I’m thinking, with the whole thing with Joey making those rituals, it’s possible that he accidentally caused a actual demon to inhabit and take the form of Bendy rebirthed from the ink machine.
You have hit the real point because is true XD same archivies says in the beast bendy description that is only a facade.. a facade is a mask for hide the true himself...in this case a real demon that have take the form of the real Bendy , so.. count the ritual without soul is failed = summoned a real demon XD

I guess since Tom was so cautious and knew about the machine Joey had to have lured Allison to the studio first to lure Tom there, counting on the loving husband to come to save his wife. That is horribly tragic, but I am glad they found each other.
Off topic, after the last chapter I have started to wonder if the tape recorders aren't actual recordings the characters made willingly, at least not the majority of them, but are memories absorbed by the studio. Something like thought fragments made solid. Just a theory, since I thought it was odd Wally confessed to losing his keys and taking a cake, both which could have gotten him in trouble.
TBH i feel bad for everyone in the game. I can tell that everyone will be in a better or a "heavenly" place except the Ink Demon.

Poor Allison and Tom, their story is so tragic. Poor Susie as well, I can't even imagine what she must have felt going through all this. Yeah she turned into a monster, but that's because she was used and manipulated by Joey for his sick experiments. He's the real monster.

Everyone keeps saying that Allison & Tom are dead. But I have a question. Does anyone even see any coffins that has their names on them? If not, then that means that like Henry, they are still alive, but are trapped in the cartoon world of Bendy that Joey created. So I feel like the series will involve Henry, Allison, & Tom trying to find a way out of their prison that Joey creates while getting rid of a soulless ink Demon & monster versions of those that use to work for Joey or knew him & his plan.

I’m happy in reality Thomas and Allison got married, as you can see the letter in chapter 5 ending, there was a letter from Allison Conner! I died in happiness. I just feel sad for these.

There's something not right. If Allison and Tom r dead, where r their coffins? We saw Lacie, Bertram, Norman, Grant, and even Susie. But aside from Henry, we have not seen there resting place. If the Meatly does make a sequel to BATIM, im hoping to have some of the questions have answers
I heard a theory that Good Alice was Lacie since Lacie is an anagram for Alice and Lacie knows about tools and is capable of taking care of herself. Good Alice also refers to herself as not an angel and her attire doesnt completely match Alice angel's.
The other theory is that Tom is Grant but grew attatched to Alice much like our Boris did with us and Grant just accepts Tom as his name because he cant remember it and that was the first thing he was called

Maybe Allison and Tom have no coffin because they didn't die directly when the experiment was going on.
I think Alison and Tom died and become the ink creature near the timeline when Henry got his letter as we can see they can still send letter to Joey and got married for a long time
So that's why they didn't have a coffin made yet
It's probably goes like this :
1. Allison Tom and Henry left the studio earlier
2. The ink experiment still goes on and the employees left are being sacrificed (and they got those coffin made)
3. Years later Joey contacted Henry Tom and Allison then luring them into the studio
I think Joey lured Tom and Allison first because he want to see if the ink experiment can go right for the last time, when it didn't he finally try contacting Henry to "correct" his mistakes or other goals

Allison said that tom thinks your dangerous, which makes sence, but why does tom want to kill you? Simple. Bendy was a human, he caused tom to become boris, he wont trust you because of this situation. Also, how does ink be created? It cant come from nowhere. And, when the ink machine comes up, there is nothing underneath, so... How can a ink supply still run for 30 years? Mining, of course.
Also how old is henry? He is 30 years older, and the cartoon was very old. So it may be 50-90

Maybe henry was meant to become bendy (his soul reincarnated), but it didnt work and now he is stuck in this loop. (Idk this isnt making sense) That would explain why bendy doesnt have a soul and the other characters have (alice= susie, allison, boris/tom)

At first, i didn't understand the coffins since these people are walking around after becoming ink monsters. What makes the most sense to me is that the ink machine ripped the souls out of the employees and put them into the ink. Which is why there are bodies left behind, yet these people can still be the characters we know today.
I want to know how Joey killed them, or maybe like the Ink touches them and they like die or something
I have one thing that you might be able to make a theory about and that is the fact that in bendy chapter 5 against Sammy Lauwrence that he talks to you like he thinks you're bendy.
Just like a cartoon reel it can only proceed as far it goes in its limit. Once its over than it time to rewind and playthrough again, again, again and again. An eternal loop of reliving the same life events. Now that is terrifying.

Superhorrorbro. I saw Your Chapter 5 gameplay video & saw that You missed something. In reguards to the Key items needed to Bring the ink machine to life as seen in chapter one & the clip of it at 6:24 of Your video, here. There is something about them that is going on You really need to Head to the office of Joey Drew in chapter 5. Despite not glowing when You hover over the drawers of His desk. You CAN open them all up. just like the box in the film vault that contains the last Radio/Mini Jukebox. Take a look what is inside of Joey's desk. I feel it's a clue of some sort.

There's a theory on Allison Pendle and Thomas Connor that was pointed out by someone else who was theorizing the connection. They had said that Alison and Thomas never came back to the studio and this was based on the letters in Joey's apartment/house but also on the coffins in the game. From what was said in the other theory is that Allison, Thomas (Tom), and Wally all made it out but Joey tried to get them to come back, so he could put them into the machine like he did with the other workers. The other workers being Grant Cohen, Norman Polk, Susie Campbell, Sammy Lawrence (who's technically still alive but completely covered in ink and madly devoted to the Bendy Ink Monster when the player first meets him but dies later at the hand of Tom via an axe in the back of the head), and many other lost ones who were forced into the ink machine by Joey. Only the MAJOR characters that the player (aka Henry) comes across in the game, have their names on the coffins in the Pentagram Room, seen via the looking glass device. The letters on the bulletin board in Joey's apartment/house also show that Allison Pendle and Thomas "Tom" Connor married because Allison's last name is changed.
Now, I know what you're thinking. If Allison Pendle and Thomas Connor made it out alive without going into the ink machine then how does the player (aka Henry) meet Allison Angel and Tom (Boris version) in Chapter 4/Chapter 5? The theory here is that since they made it out alive from the studio, and Joey could never get them to come back is that they're nothing but ink. This is backed up in Chapter 5 when Allison tells Henry (the player) that he can cross the inky river but her and Tom can't because "A drop in an ocean is rarely seen again."
This theory comes from MatPat from Game Theory in case anyone was wondering and is NOT my own theory. All credit goes to him and his team.

When u think about it even closer the main reason tom is always angry towards Henry is due to Allison chatting and giving more attention to Henry which tom wouldn't want that because he knows Allison is his wife
For example, Allison giving Henry soup in which tom was angrier and changing his wife(allison) mind about freeing henry from his little prison in hoping for bendy to get him so he wouldn't survive and see Allison again :0
has no one considered the fact that it is all a story?... the most important line "tell us another story uncle joey" at the end has been massively overlooked... even the breakdown of the game, chapter 1, chapter 2 etc like a story, beginning middle and end like a story... I theorise it is all a story based on how joey regrets the events of his past. A story he has told many times also made apparent by the story board on the desk in the apartment.
What if Boris clones remember who they are, but can't speak, and Alice clones can't remember who they are, but are able to speak.

Another thing you missed is that Susie angel says “I won’t lie it touch me again”, referring to Bendy. Allison Pendle came out of the ink machine looking like Alice angel perfect, yet one of the eyes and one of Susies cheeks are black And inky. I believe that Brandy’s original part touched Susies face caring. Caring because the bendy template from the cartoon that both of them were in. Bendy believed he knew her. This also births Susies hate for bendy. And there is the split personality, good side is Susie, the bad is the ink infecting her. These events would also make bendy hurt because someone he knew was afraid of him.
You're forgetting that the letter says that the pair of them are very busy and not able to slip away. You are also forgetting that the scene in Joey's house is played out of order. It is the start, he has already invited everyone but Henry (Whom is the last one as he is the original Bendy). The 2 letters on his bulliten board are from the only people who rejected, or were unable to respond to his invitation. You are also forgetting that any character that doesn't have a human soul in their body dissolves into Ink. Alice at the end before you go into the Demon Bendy fight says "A drop of water that falls into the ocean in rarely seen again" This implies that she and Tom will dissolve if they enter the ink. Thus they can't be human. The reason the demon Alice is so scared of the ink was because the character has memories of being non-human. Remember she was born twice. The first time she was little more than ink. The second time however, she was "An Angel" To quote her.
You have to remember that in this world there are 2 of every character, also characters existed in a physical body before they had human souls put into them. Not to mention you don't actually EVER find Allison, or Tom's coffins in the game. However, every other character that doesn't dissolve into Ink after death has a coffin. Peadmont, Susie, The projector guy, all of them. They all have coffins inside of the studio, but "Allison" and "Tom" don't. Not anywhere. The characters were made from just ink. But they weren't alive enough. There is an audio log from joey saying "If you're saying our creations are soulless then we'll give them a soul." This means that all the characters had lives, and memories from before they were given human souls. This however only applies to those who don't become ink again after their deaths.
Tom and Allison are happy though, they are living far away, and Allison is becoming as famous as she deserves to be. Tom is still tinkering following her from place to place.
I'm still not 100% convinced about the Tom & Allison are TomBoris & Alice thing, and I kind of think I should be - but they don't have coffin in the studio, they DO have a letter implying they had a life after working for Joey Drew and no other major characters who got 'inked' have amnesia (I'm not even sure the Searchers have it) and 'Allison' doesn't even identify as 'Allison', just 'Alice'. I know there's the credits thing (though Bertrum's name doesn't appear over a picture of himself, but rather The Projectionist) and it does 'make sense' but what we're presented with in-game just doesn't seem to quite add up IMO. I'm happy to be proven wrong, very happy, but i'm still a bit unconvinced.
Well, I'm pretty sure Allison and Tom returned to the studio. There's a little note next to Allison's letter that says "Down in Bendy's domain." Probably to find that thing Tom was complaining of losing. And yeah, Bertrum is credited with the image of Bendy and Norman fighting, but that doesn't mean the Allison being the name stated is wrong. The amnesia thing confuses me too. Everyone remembers who they are except her.

That’s actually a theory that I’ve never heard, that actually makes a lot of sense. It doesn’t make sense that they’re workers because the don’t hurt, or help you. And there’s a lot of them, and we only hear of a limited amount of workers.
I think that Henry has been Bendy all along wich explains the fear Tom Boris had initially but in this time Joey didn't remove all the memories in a Titanfall thing style
But if you here in chapter 5 joey said in the recording "I want you to bring alice to life once again" it was all true!
This theory makes a lot of sense.... for some reason someone (treecicle) theorized that the whole game was movie or something.... that theory made no sense
This is EXACTLY what I theoried about all of their pasts. I noticed several clues, scanning EVERYTHING because I'm a young (varied and traditional cartoon)artist myself(I make my own characters based off of some several cartoons and even from Mickey Mouse). After digging deep and looking into everything, I kind of wondered why that certain letter sent to Joey by Alison had her last name of 'Connor'. I then figured the two were married, and it explains how the two bond in the cartoon world, and even how Thomas responds to Alison.
I also would've figured that Susie was obviously obsessed with Alice, that she accepted it to meet with Joey and take the deal(as in for, didn't end well). And since Alison took Susie's role, it was one of the large influences that lead Susie to go to Joey. Including that Thomas was Alison's husband, he rooted for her and ignoring about Susie, which angered her.
Can we still ship Alison and Thomas if there married?

Bro ALL your theories or correct but you must understand one thing THIS IS ALL A FILM as proof there are two of Henry's office. One in the first floor and the other being in the 5th floor..... The meatly did this on purpose to let us know that Joey made a movie in his imagination. The storyboard in the house prooves this as well and he invited henry to be the Star.....

Could Tom be the lost one who ‘still remembers their name”?? Think about it. Tons of Boris’, they had to be created. Maybe Tom remembered everything and Sammy locked him up. Tom fought back and ended up having a damaged voice, that’s why he can’t talk. He remembers everything, even the process of being changed, even his name, but he can’t tell anybody. Just think about that :D
Will there be videos in the future to clear up the possible happenings of the others as well? I've been hoping Bendy week was going to end with something like that. Guess you can't fit all of the studio workers into one video. Like mentioned before I have theories set in stone for all studio workers...except for Lacie and Wally. This game is really mysterious. Maybe one day all answers will be found.

I think the barn is instead the location of "Joey Drew Studios". Just hear me out, if you look at the room you first see the ink machine, it looks rather like a barn, the same barn the Alison drew on the wall perhaps?
My theory: Alison replaced Susie and so ,logically thinking, Joey would turn to Alison first for bringing Alice Angel to life. The reason why Thomas agreed to be made into Boris is because his wife's (Alison) transformation went wrong. She became darker than her normal self because the ink machine wasn't ready. Thus this is the reason why the Alice Angel in Chapter 3 is evil. It swapped her personality and Thomas felt bad about it, so he agreed to turn into Boris. He stumbled across the Alice Angel from the end of Chapter 4 and thought his wife had managed to finally find a way to get her personality back to normal, not knowing that Joey had contacted Susie, that Susie is the Alice Angel he is with and that Susie killed his wife. Maybe the reason why the Alice Angel in Chapter 3 had a deformed face was because of this: She almost had her personality back under control and went to look for her husband Thomas and was attacked by Bendy, and was then reborn deformed, so she began killing the Butcher Gang members and the Boris Clones to be beautiful again. The Boris we teamed up with in Chapter 3 may have been Wally Franks, hence the reason why Alice wanted him. Or maybe: Susie and Alison BOTH went in the machine, combining them as one. Then Bendy killed the Alice Angel body they shared, thus separating them into two different bodies. Meaning the Alice Angel we met in Chapter 3 could have been Susie and the Alice Angel we met at the end of Chapter 4 could have been Alison

you know, as someone who does calligraphy and has made their own ink before for fun, I've been thinking and wondering on the TYPE of ink the notorious ink may be. you see, there's a type of ink that's one of the preferred inks for artwork and line and inking for comics and cartooning, carbon ink. It's also known as india ink, lampblack, and bone black, and is commonly made from very fine particles of soot or finely ground burnt material that has been reduced to its carbon state, often bone and other animal materials, mixed with water once the char is ground. The more I think about those coffins around the studio, the more I wonder exactly what makes up the ink to give it such unnatural properties, and how it might have been made. That might be a bit too dark to be an actual thing in the game though, but it is something that i have begun to wonder about.
I find it very interesting that the note next to the letter from Allison Connor references the Bible verse Philippians 2:3, which says Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, always counting others before yourself. Joey Drew did the opposite of that, which caused the destruction of his company.
I think Tom knows everything ( mostly ) but in the show he never talked so he was never able to tell Allison what happend ( also when the were humans it is a theory that they were married , reminds me of something in fnaf * cough cough springtrap and ballora * ) oh wait that was already mentioned in the video
