The reason it’s taking what seems like a long time to get going is that this is a gas powered golf cart. When you press the gas pedal down, that also is engaging the starter, just like when you turn the ignition key or press the start button on your car, so the engine has to crank over and start before the cart will move. Also, it may be taking a few seconds longer to start because you’re pressing the gas pedal all the way to the floor. On a gasoline powered cart, especially if the engine is already warm, this may be slightly flooding the engine and taking a little longer to start. Try not pressing it all the way to the floor and see what happens.
Mines is an electric cart for work i followed thes steps turned it on put it to for forward, but not moving and its been charging for 6 hours. And the person on the shift before me was driving no problem. The battery indicater is still orange when i unplugged it after 6 hours or will it take my full shift of 12 hours for it to charge

No not a whole minute but ours (which was a rental) took several seconds to get moving.
