    Lady...you are making my head swim! The amount of quality sewing you get done blows my mind especially knowing that you do not keep a staff of elves hidden away that come out at night to lay out and cut all your fabrics for you! This is an awesome activewear collection, Whitney, and you look absolutely fabulous in every piece! It is amazing what making the petite adjustment and/or shortening pieces does for you! At 5'4", I'm on the very bottom of the spectrum having to shorten sometimes and other times not! Great episode! Thanks for sharing your makes with us....it takes a brave woman to put on yoga pants and a sports bra and twirl before a camera! Again, you look fantastic in every piece of your activewear!

      😂 I was a bit apprehensive about posing in a sports bra and workout leggings. However, the purpose of the channel is to show how the garments fit and it’s impossible to see without being on a body, so there you go 😂! As far as elves, you are assuming I don’t have any 😉. As a side note, my maiden name is Shoemaker as in The Shoemaker and The Elves ...

    I love the size of the sports bra. I like that it has pretty good coverage on the back as well as the front. Thanks for showing the bra on! I am not sure I would have had the guts to do that on youtube, but it looks great on you!

    • @TomKatStitchery

      😂 believe me when I say that getting on TH-cam in a sports bra is not comfortable for me either. I think seeing the items on an actual body helps people to better see the garment and better see the fit. I just close my eyes and go 😂.

    You are amazing. Your sewing all of those garments with such smooth results--no puckering, pulling or otherwise visibly cantankerous bindings--amazes me. I could do it, too, but with nowhere near those results. They fit beautifully, and the insides look as great as the outsides. I guess that's what I'm trying to say. Well done!

    Your video is exhausting just to watch! lol I am so glad that after checking my email this morning that I looked on the Love Notions site to see if I had previously purchased the Bella Donna, I HADN'T!! Of course I immediately went and bought it specially after now seeing your makes! I love the longer sleeve top, those would be a staple in my wardrobe! I really need to get over my hangup of sewing with knits, I have a moving box full of swim/athletic wear fabric (because it's pretty! lol) and a few pieces of jerseys and out of all of that I've only made one tankini! lol After watching your video I need a nap just to think of what I can make! lol Great job!

    This is an awesome collection 👏👏👏👏 I can’t even pick a favorite at this point. You did a great job! I love how you put what pattern and lipstick you’re wearing in the description box. Very helpful! I really like the fabric of your dress. I wish that pattern had a lower waist so it would make a good top pattern. For me, I look pregnant if I try to wear something with that high of a waist.

    • @TomKatStitchery
      @TomKatStitchery  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually shortening the waist of that dress by an inch because I naturally have a very high waist. I didn’t think it looked as high on the other tester versions. You may go take a look at some others. I was shocked how flattering it was on all the different body types!

    • @susanc1179
      @susanc1179 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      TomKat Stitchery You and I have incredibly similar body types. I’m 5’ 4. Most of my height is in my legs. From my waist to my bust is maybe 3.5 inches. Tops in RTW are hard for me too. Always material gaping at the bust. I need to stop reading, watching videos, planning about seeing & sew!

    • @TomKatStitchery
      @TomKatStitchery  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You could, but you would still need to use power mesh for the support. This pattern, however, also has instructions for putting in a hook and eye in the back as opposed to pulling it off over your head.

    Did you use your serger to make the bra straps on the straps back version? I am trying to use my different attachments for belt loops and it is not as professional as I would like it to look.

    • @TomKatStitchery
      @TomKatStitchery  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I serged the elastic into the seam when I serged the straps right side together. When I turned it right side out, it put the elastic side the strap. It wasn’t an easy turn, but I do like the finished strap. I don’t have very many attachments for my serger, but it’s very possible my new coverstitch machine could do it easier. I do have all the attachments for that machine, but am still playing around with it!
