Actually claiming something to be a supposed doco = does not necessarily make it so........ So it was not a documentary in that what was being claimed was not factual representing claims rejected by the collective medical/scientific communities. It therefore becomes "entertainment" which happens to have been disingenuously formatted to appear as credible when it was not - hence it was deceptive.

That's always the narrative behind the anti vax nonsense. I've got so many autistic friends and an autistic brother. It's hardly something that needs to be cured, they're all living happy fruitful lives, they just think a little bit differently than others do, and occasionally have more symptoms. I asked one friend if he'd prefer his autism or scarlet fever, and he said autism by a mile.
The whole convo around autism needs to shift, and a lot of these autism "advocacy" groups aren't helping by centering autism as a debilitating disease that must be stamped out.

Watching this now and I can't help but think of the GP here in Austria who took her own life because she was so scared by the death threaths she got from multiple people simply for administering the COVID-19 vaccine and saying her opinion about the situation. Truly horrible.
The authorities failed her so badly, couldn't even prosecute the people who sent her the death threats since some of them were from Germany, but apparently they can prosecute slander coming from across the border.
It's so sad, that she had to build herself a panic room, put herself in debt to be able to get security because she feared for her life...and in the end she saw no other way out but to end it herself.
And even after her death, some people were saying how she certainly did it out of the guilt of knowing how many people she'd harmed by vaccinating them. That really horrified and disgusted me.
I'm not even finished with my medical degree yet, but I'm pretty sure there will never be an actual medicine to heal or prevent the cruelty that some people inflict on others.

"Sheep" = react to the "shepherd" which leads them. So the gullible minions of what is actually the anti-vaccine industry - and it is indeed an online industry - would be as nothing absent = a platform from which they spew their filth and organize - to subsequently make threats as you alluded to.
So the real villain in all this = are the (anti)social media platforms. They are the ones who via their algorithms have been hyping the anti-vaccine misinformation/disinformation so as to monetize the fallout for years. They created _"da mobs"_ and they are the ones who are facilitating the breakdown of civil society. They have a lot to account for. Whatever traction Dr. Mike's videos may get rest assured the purveyors of misinformation via the algorithms here will see exponentially more because of course "clicks" = $$$$. The more hyperbolic and toxic the speech the more clicks generated - which is exactly what these companies want. 🤔

These people say their eyes are wide open and we're all sheep while they mindlessly gobble up the things obvious swindlers put out there, and they will never see the irony of it. No one on planet earth is as sheepishly suggestible as a conspiracy believer. You can take their words, and prove with direct, undeniable, 'the sky is blue' type facts that they are wrong, and they will still refuse to believe you, because they lost the meaning of fact long ago. They are *very* lost and it is nearly impossible and utterly futile to attempt to bring them back. I have wasted absurd amounts of time the past few years trying to help people like these see the light by engaging in debate with them, but they will almost always ignore any argument you make and either attack you personally, change subject, deflect with childishly 'no you' like replies, or just go 'I'm not reading all of that' when you work them into a corner. You'd think even if they refuse to accept defeat online in public, they would have some small voice of doubt activated when you do succeed to back them into a corner, but they never do. The knowledge base they have is also often so limited that their resistance to scientific arguments rises even more, because they have no idea what science is, how methods work or how rigorously defined the levels of evidence are. It's utterly impossible to help them.

I'm just going to say: no self-respecting scientist and researcher would say "I did this study, and I'm 100% sure it's true". Also, that's why we have a peer-review process, that's why citation counts are important and that's why the publishing journal is important. You can't just say "here's my research, trust me it's full of facts". But when someone says here's my published paper in Nature and/or my paper is considered highly cited, I'm going to say, okay it seems reputable. But if someone just tells, me that there's no doubt about what they think...yeah no...prove it.

On the other hand Einstein's teory of relativity not only offers an explanation of what grsvity is but its also more accurate as it can explain the movement of mercury and allows you to get more accurate results. We still use newton for calculation because its easier and its accurate enough for most things. Your definition of law and theory is not wrong but gravity is in a weird spot as the theory is more accurate than the law.

      @samfordja 2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

@@marcelo_27 i'm very aware of the limitations of newton's laws and Einstein's theories. My issue with the comment that gravity is just a theory. Far too often people look at theories as something to ignore or that if you wait long enough they'll change so don't trust the science. When in reality it's not an easy feat to just disprove a theory and they don't just change on a whim because they aren't laws or that laws cannot be changed. Science is after all a way of knowing, but just because concepts can change doesn't make the original findings relevant as with the case of Newton's Laws and that we even have laws of thermal dynamics.

Extremely limited out patient Services - even fewer cars. Less people going in for the little things that can be addressed over the phone or video appointments - less cars and people.

“Allow dissenting opinions to be heard....so that people can make the decisions for themselves. “ (starting at 37:00min). This is the best advice of all in this video. Censorship does not work. It only adds fuel to the fire because people will seek out censored information even more than they would have if it had not been silenced. Open and free discussion is a fundamental part of a democratic society.

If you go back a bit (32:17) you will see that it is a bit more complicated than that however. There is and ought to be ample room for discussion and dissent, and the range of ideas that are appropriate for this is vast. However, in some cases there are some ideas that are either blatantly absurd or directly harmful that poisons free discussion and warrants censorship. That is why we censor hate speech or speech that puts individuals in danger, and I think we ought to take another look at propaganda from groups like anti vaxxers and consider what value (or harm, more likely) they are introducing in society and in our discussions.

If an idea is absurd it's possible that people just aren't ready for it... not that it's wrong. Dont forget that people who said the world was round were attacked and thought to be crazy. Germ theory was crazy. We need to hear crazy absurd ideas because they might actually be true and cause a paradigm shift.
Also I think his response to the concept of viral interference was disingenuous. Judy may not be the most articulate person but after hearing what she had to say it wasnt hard to figure out what she was getting at with contaminated vaccines.
I also think this doctor is naive, despite his numerous claims that hes not, and hes aware that money is a factor. There is so much money that can be made off this epidemic especially if in the long term it's written off as debt on us citizens. Money can be made from an economic crash as well as a mandated vaccine.
Over all I think this doc is probably a decent a d reasonable person and believes most people are decent because he is. But fails to consider that the world is full of psychopaths. Some motivated by Power, some by greed, or vanity, and others are literally just sadists that see mankind as a plague on the earth. As you climb up in power you tend to find more psychopaths.
Do I believe there are individuals willing to let the economy collapse, let people starve, or force a dangerous experimental vaccine on people for personal gain or out of spite? Hell yeah I do.

Yet, these vaccinations are also used in other countries as well in countries where there is not a privately owned medical system. So, what benefit would there be to these governments pushing somthing like that out unless there is a medical benefit? Just to give the US money? That's not how any of that works.
Each of these countries have there own medical teams and researchers that will carefully weight up different solutions to the problem. It may be they don't use the same treatment as the US, or they may deem that the US treatment is the best available. Either way, it needs to go through that country's own review process in order to be used. These countries have no financial gain from grabbing medication willy-nilly from the US.

I rather think you missed the point. It was not about "fixing" autism via pharmaceutical intervention as = managing symptoms. So you may have autism as you say and even be functioning at a social level on par with others. Some with ASD however = are not so lucky. So not unlike say people with ADHD who find it difficult to "focus" and upon taking medication and then function more normally the question was if the drug in question might prove beneficial for use with children with ASD whose functioning level is so impaired that such intervention might help them to be able to interact with their environments more normally. It does not "fix" them = merely helps them to live more normal lives.
As an aside. The drug has never been approved for use in ASD. It has only been tested in small - very small studies - and while appearing to show promise = it would have a long way to go before such approval might be possible. Also, it's not really uncommon to include H1N1 strain, as evident if anyone does a proper literature search. Also, the new type of vaccine was one of the several available option, and not the only option. Mostly for testing vaccines, only certain approved Mammalian cell lines are used.
Also ,people should know that Mikovits (the person being interviewed) had published a study in the journal "Science", about a possible link between viruses and certain diseases like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Afterwards, many independent studies by different scientists were unable to get the same results as she did, so the sudy was retracted. Later, it was found that the cell line she used in her laboratory, was actually contaminated with that virus.

Sounds like she is trying to blame her own failure on the medical community instead of taking responsibility and legitimately trying to prove her theory through more tests.

You know the clip is particularly spectacular misinformation when even the extremely even-keeled Dr. Mike’s starts losing his patience with it. Geez, was this ever a moment in time.

Regarding the taking down of content, what I've noticed is that when TH-cam does this, it actually perpetuates the "conspiracy theories" more than leaving it up would. A methodical and scientific approach like this is, in my humble opinion, the correct response.

That's a fair point. Takedowns can be argued as actually giving these people ammunition to say "They want to silence us." Rather than suppress, maybe a proper dialogue would be better suited.

Problem is that some folks WON'T do any research because they want to believe the worst. They vilify others to keep from working on themselves. They are all to quick to latch onto stories by unhappy people like this woman and proceed to propagate false information.

Maybe, but you could also argue that letting a conspiracy theory video up lets so many more people see it. The main problem is we really don't know how to deal conspiracy theories. No amount of logic or evidence seems to work. Taking down videos is another attempt. Maybe it will work, maybe it won't. But nothing else has worked so far.

Ivermectin supposedly showing efficacy in the treatment of Covid infections only exists = on the internet claimed by those pushing said twaddle - and the conspiracy-addled so-called "conservative media". Here is the real world it does not help. Methinks you need to find more accurate sources of your news.......

Too much shoulder adduction isnt good for the lats, the axilla is sweating before the lats are overworked in small contractions whenever the arms are by the sides of the body. His arms should be abducted further apart from his body and internally rotated with elbow flexion for no sweaty armpit and wide lats.
