As an owner of an 08 Tiburon GS, this makes me happy. Genuinely thinking about swapping in the V6 and turning into a mockup GT. Love that little thing.
You'll regret taking off the wiper as you've got a tinted rear window and won't be able to see anything. A good workaround is to get a rear view mirror dashcam and put the camera near the reg plate. If you switch to a high rise spoiler you can put the camera on the bottom of the spoiler with the cable running through the inside of the spoiler.
dont know if you remember us chatting a bit a couple months back on your other video where you took a breakdown of your car but i finally got mine like a month ago, super excited working on it and i love seeing these videos of people working on their coupes, i thought these cars were 10/10 before i bought them but now that i have one i cant describe my excitement, doing some interior things rught now like painting everything black, did a steering wheel cover myself but i cant seem to find any good diffusors for this car where im at in europe so thats a pain, anywho love your car!!, excited to see more vids.
Nice congrats! Glad you found one 😄 yah europe is pretty difficult, if you can find stuff for a gen coupe it could work with some modifying. Subaru parks have a similar enough curve in the front to work on the Tiburon too with modifying them to be shorter, just need to have a plastic welder guy around lol there is one other car that’s European that can fit I think it’s a Cupra

My TIBURON is on 400158Km and still going! I didn't do servicing yet but damn this thing doesn't give-up❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥And Your Tib is the most smoothest & cleanest I have ever seen💯❤🔥
About the wrapping and paint fade. When I bought mine the paint on the car was in decent condition except for the bonnet which had quite severe peeling. It also happened to be the case that the bonnet was the only part of the car that the previous owner has wrapped. So could something there.
The peeling could have also been why it was wrapped in the first place, but yah if it was repainted at one point it could definitely pull off the clear of it wasn’t good. Trying to get my paint checked to see if it seems strong enough. I know my clear coat is pretty thin now but not peeling
That noise when turning might be bad rack and pinion or leaking struts, mine had the same issue and my whole rack and pinion got fucked up from bad bushings and busted on me and so did my power steering pump, I have an 07 gt and when trying to park on a weird angled road it just burst and started pouring out power steering fluid. Took it in and that's when they informed me of those 2 parts needing replacing and also found the leaking struts.
Yah see that’s what I assumed happened but when I had it looked at they said my rack and steering components all look like new and the noise was all coming from the coil overs which are also new 😩 top hat and everything on those are also all fine so at that point I have no idea what’s causing it besides just faulty coilovers. Power steering tho might be leaking because I have a slight grind noise when I turn
@theliltibby spray some lubricant on the strut mounts and see if the noise goes away, may be faulty if that's the case unfortunately 😭 I got mine like a couple months ago with only 84k miles on it so I'm Hella upset this shit happened 💀
If you are in the US or your country has the same auto regulations as the US it’ll be plug and play. Canada I needed some custom wiring for them to work like a US spec. Although the switchbacks I’ve seen them have problems with burning out, possibly because there’s too much electrical load for the Tiburons electrical system but that’s just my guess. Mine are fine-the first option of just halos

236,000 km is very good... made me want to get one now even more, still worried about gas since the prices of that dont seem to go down anytime soon... also i think you should def do a rear wiper delete, would make the back end look so much slicker and better without that there
Yah I hear that but ever since it has hit 200k things don’t work like they use to 😅 miscellaneous things starting to fall apart. Luckily I can still keep up with it though but it’s definitely a bummer. Yah it definitely goes through gas pretty quick, depends if you drive everyday usually I have to fill up once or twice a week with daily driving and it’s about 40$ each time if I fill from 1/4 tank

The noise definitely sounds like something is working harder than it should, a bad alternator (or one that's going bad) definitely can cause this, another cause is a bad steering rack that's bogging down the power steering pump (it's convoluted as hell, but it was causing the same noise in my car) Edit: definitely keep the same wheels, i haven't seen a single wheel design that looks better on the car than the OEM wheels
Yah I’m feeling like it’s the alternator but I have no other symptoms. Although yesterday I thought I heard the tell tale sound when accelerating that it makes when it’s going bad🤔 I also just had the rack and shaft inspected and apparently they’re like new and it’s been isolated to the front left coilover strut. But like inside the strut not the coil so it might be a factory fault. It’s not a normal “coilover clunk”. The steering pump worries me lol but my power fluid is at a normal level. Thinking I may need a flush. And I know I do love my wheels 😂 if I changed I might still keep them stored
@@charliegiles8582 the handles I did myself, the window controls were from a guy selling them on the fb groups who did them himself too. It’s not super hard to do just very tedious. You can find tutorials on yt “carbon fiber laying”

Good to know they can run strong at that mileage. But yah basic maintenance won’t save you from wear and tear in general. The older the car and higher the mileage things will just wear out or plastics& rubber will degrade. It goes for all cars, just some can take abuse better than others and in my experience you can’t abuse a Tiburon that’s more so what I’m getting at
@theliltibby I understand what you're saying. Straight facts. Keep in mind there are cars that make it past 1 million miles on the original motor and trans. That's all I'm saying. Plus, I don't just do basic maintenance. I daily my tibby and run it occasionally when challenged 😁 I'm also an auto tech. Love your tibby by the way. From top to bottom. She's beautiful.

I changed my ac compressor as well when I first bought my 2008 Tiburon and it’s been making the same noise you showed if you figure out what it is before I do plz let me know I’ll run to the comments & let you know if I figure it out

Thank you! 😄 covers are NIA design but they’re discontinued so a rare part to find, you can find copies on eBay-I link them on my first video. Only thing is they’re a bit tough to tack down in the corners so may require glue
That was off eBay but they’re a collectors item so basically you just have to search forever until someone who has one wants to sell it 😅 I think there’s maybe 3 people known to have one including myself. But if you keep up with the fb groups sometimes people search for you and will let everyone know one is up for sale
3m double sided tape completely along the underside outer edges. Make sure both surfaces are super clean and if you have the eBay versions you may need to glue down the front corners. Or sand them down to thin them out so they bend easier

About most wraps…they should be replaced within 1 1/2-2 years. Love how meticulous you are with the car.

Been looking at this car recently and I really want to buy one but also want to buy the angel v4 headlights with switchback are they easy to install??

I'm sorry, but I have to call BS. My tibby has 230,000 miles and runs strong. Just keep up with your maintenance and don't abuse it. Simple.
