Hyundai Tiburon GT v6 2003 starting problems

This is my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon. I've owned this car for over one year now. At first I had never noticed the bad starting sound, I was too blind by how much I loved this cool looking car. Once I leaned more about cars is when I realized something is not right. I replaced the stock starter for a performance Denso starter, which did not solve the problem. It could be vaccum leak or somthing wrong with exhaust

I had taken my upper manifold to get to the valve covers to change the gaskets. Once done i had realised that 2 vacuum hoses had small tears. I didnt think much of it as it still seemed pretty solid. Just recently i changed all of my vacuum lines which arent pretty hard to get to. Just some stregnth and pliers. Car runs and shifts 50% better.

Check the air intake hose mine recently had a gash in it I have 06 Tiburon gt. But we patched and it's still somewhat doing it. Also possibly change the intake manifold gasket.

You should of cold start the video but filming your dash so could see what Rpms are being pushed out on start mine was hesitateing out. On cold start then would die out.

I jsut went to look at one it was v6 manual but it was spuddering on idle fun to drive but it needed work.

Not shure if still needed but it is the maf sensor connected in your intake unplug it and you will realize. A big difference but make shure to replace it could be a vacuum leak but most likely maf sensor that 2.7l was notorious for it

Homie Jesus all I can say is it sounds like a vacuum leak...........take it to a auto shop to see what they think.. or take it to a well trusted friend that knows a lot about cars

it was hard to hear with jet airplane in background, i have 2003 2.0 se , love these cars , stylish , put some 205/60/r16`s in stead of 55`s for a smooth ride, what was the problem in the end ???

Try turning on the ignition and waiting for a few seconds for a few times, it might be your fuel pump giving out so therefore it’s not building enough pressure.
