    The veranda models also have a fenced in backyard. A veranda is basically a designer home with a vinyl fence enclosing the backyard. The villages has lots of veranda neighborhoods in the newer areas (south of highway 44).

      In Fenney. We own a veranda with a fence. :)

    There are actually two more areas of fenced homes in Pine Hills on the other side of Moyer Loop.

    Are there rules as to what can be stored in these backyards?

    Just looked up the prices for the apartments. Starting $1,700 and monthly fee $162.00 1 bedroom. Well there goes my dream of moving to The Villages 😢

      Heck, for that kind of $$$$$ you can buy something in the Spanish Springs or Orange Blossom area.

      Love watching these presentations Ira. I’ve been watching them for quite awhile. I also recommend your site to anyone interested in coming to the Villages. Besides being a great sponsor I am digging the shows. Keep up the good work Jim/Maryann

    They sure do pack them in! It's hideous from the air! Thanks for that perspective!

      The farther south the Morses have built, the smaller the lots have gotten. Some streets don't even have curbing.

    What development similar to TV’s
    community offers larger lots for homes in 250k range in this area?
    TV’s boundaries between homes are too close. Thanks, this is interesting about the fencing. Drones are great👍
    BTW $1645 month for a one bedroom apt at The Lofts.Year’s lease.

    That is amazing. I got a cottage villa due to the fence, a Winslow which is about the largest cottage villa, as I would have loved to have even a bigger house.

    Love vinyl fencing. Provides privacy when living so close to your neighbor. Also don't like seeing other peoples "junk," in their back yard.

    • @barbrn
      @barbrn 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you love fencing then you must like dogs barking. Did you see some of those back yards? No grass. We don't have "junk" in our back yards--too small.

    Well done Ira.
    Question.....I noticed some pools in the areas of higher end homes. Are their any areas in the lower end ($200k to $250k) that allow the installation of an in ground pool? Thanks and keep em’ coming!

    • @HomesAroundTheVillages
      @HomesAroundTheVillages  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Frank, Yes if you find yourself an oversized lot that can fit a pool there is no reason why you can't have one. You most likely will not find a home with a pool in that price range but adding one in shouldn't be an issue if you have the room.

    What's the obsession with the fences? Where is Main St? The corner deli? Bakery? This place has no charm. Must be an hour drive to supermarket. It's ALL houses!

    Who would ever want a house with no fence? I'm glad to live where I do because everyone has fences so we can have privacy in our backyards.

    Dont court yard villas have a small fenced yard ? If you hit the red button does it take a picture of your car ?

    • @HomesAroundTheVillages
      @HomesAroundTheVillages  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes Court Yard Villas are mostly fenced and the red button is for you to get inside the gate, It does take a picture of your plate.

    • @barbrn
      @barbrn 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a CCTV on a short pole before you get to the gate that takes a picture of your license plate. Since anyone can get through the gate by pressing the red button, if there is a crime and someone describes a car not usually in the neighborhood, the sheriffs can search the feed. Also, if you fully stop at the card reader & hold your card against the window, it will work. Some people have had to replace the window mechanism from it being used so much. Stonecrest uses a type of barcode sticker but it would be too costly to change ours.

    I'd prefer to live in my car. Anyone remember Pete Seeger’s ”Little Boxes”? If this isn't it I don't know what is. Add heat, humidity, bugs and now covid 19 in Florida and it seems like the 9th ring of hell to a New Englander.

    I’m curious...why are there no sidewalks?

    • @topstokops52
      @topstokops52 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would have taken up space from the front yard. The neighborhoods are quiet enough that people walk on the road.

    • @barbrn
      @barbrn 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are sidewalks on the main streets (30mph) in the neighborhoods (have golf cart lanes), that connect to Morse Blvd & Buena Vista Blvd (35mph). The innermost streets in the neighborhoods are 20mph as they share the road with golf carts.

    the thing is i want 2 stories and the homes r way roo big and the lots way too small

  • @tim5158
    @tim5158 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Looks like the home are packed in like sardines and no open green space only black top and cement, must be unbearable in the summer. Thanks Ira for showing I’ll be looking elsewhere.

    • @barbrn
      @barbrn 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have lots of green space--the golf courses!!! The older houses have bigger lots. There are other houses with bigger lots scattered amongst the smaller ones; depends on how the village was laid out.
