We’ve had some good Ryanair flights and some wild ones (more so the in-airport experience being insane than in-flight). It’s been awhile but we’ve had good flights with EasyJet too. Ryanair has the edge. You just have to be vigilant about your needs and book (and pay) accordingly.
Flown Ryanair around 160 times, Easyjet approximately 60 times. Ryanair definitely have the advantage on punctuality but I really don't like when flying Ryanair from a "major" airport as often they are given the budget terminal or budget gates at the far end of the airport. Ryanair are best when flying from a small airport where they have a monopoly. The Easyjet ground experience is a bit more "mainstream" and to be honest I don't really have any strong opinions on them one way or the other, except for their punctuality being a bit lacking compared with Ryanair. I don't understand the baggage or seat reservation fees on either airline - sometimes the price even changes on the outbound and return legs! Got an Easyjet flight tomorrow actually and I'll continue to support both companies depending on them flying where I want to go and if the price is good value. (Wizz Air too, they are pretty good also.) Great video as usual, love these comparisons.
Yep. I have flown with Ryanair many times to/from a major European airport and the gate area is horrible and grossly overcrowded with very few seats. Most people just have to stand or sit on the floor. Other than that I have no complaints.
I think Ryanair is best compared with WizzAir. I refuse to consider easyJet a proper low cost airline. Their service honestly reminds me more of British Airways than Ryanair.
I like both for different reasons. But to behonest Ryanair i the one that I've neve had any issues with or been delayed. With Easyjet I prefer the aircraft but I've always been delayed, including 10 hours at Malaga a couple of years back.
Definitely true with the Guinness. It's the water. Imagine using any other water than Scottish to make our whisky. Excellent content as always Dom. I prefer Easyjet tbh.
There's nothing wrong with either of them apart from price, but that can swing to either of them depending on the day. The one that seems the most iffy is Wizz, but they seem okay. Also 6:15, these multiple stumbles could've been edited around.
Great report, Dom. Generally happy to fly either airline - it'll come down to the fare and the schedule. But I do tend to find Easyjet more expensive than Ryanair.
UK and European Guinness is all brewed in Dublin with the exception of a microbrewery and Guinness 'experience' in London. Its been the case since 2005 when they shut the Park Royal Brewery in London.
Dom the closest thing we have to the show Ariline now is ITV's Britains busiest airport Heathrow !!! great series worth a watch and its all on youtube as ITV uploaded most of the episodes
I’ve tried this series and find it’s just too presented for me. Nothing like the old fly on the wall style where the real people who work there (and great public) are the only ones in front of the camera. Managed to find loads of classic Airline and Airport on TH-cam, thankfully!
I think it just depends who has cheaper flights to where you want to go, which one of them operates to where you want to go, & how the crew perform on the flight you take. I have had basically no bad experiences with either of them, but most of the time Ryanair are cheaper than EasyJet
Personally I prefer easyJet but that's partly down to my having flown them since I was a kid, their route network at my home airport NCE being much much bigger and just their crews always being so friendly and welcoming. I don't mind Ryanair either but just not using them nearly as much due to their preferred airport of MRS which is way out of the way for me. Fun fact about Ryanair's fleet: they do have one little special plane that if you're lucky you can try out. They have one singular 737-700 that used to be used for VIP charters and crew training but now it's been integrated into the Buzz fleet mostly out of Poland. Tail number is SP-RUM and if you're ever flying Ryanair out of the likes of Gdansk/Katowice etc you could end up on a very special little baby Ryanair jet (I guess the main way to find it is to look for flights with seat maps that have less than either 33 or 35 rows as these are the 738 and Max configs)
All UK market Guinness is brewed in Dublin and has been for almost 20 years. They stopped brewing it at Park Royal in 2005. The brewery was demolished in 2006
6:20 Malfunction! Good video though, Ryanair is my favourite. I've tried both but have been on Ryanair significantly more. Only they connect me to my family in Poland as well.
EasyJet takeaway 😂 I’ve said it before and I will say it again, EasyJet my favourite carrier of all. The staff always absolutely superb, comfortable aircraft’s with legroom compared to other carriers, food certainly not over priced at all. Plus they the only budget carrier in Inverness so a big thumbs up to them 😊
Ryanair all day every day. I have flown both many times and Ryanair is much better. Main reason is Ryanair is always on time and easy jet I’ve been late.
I tend to fly easyJet more than Ryanair but that is more down to the routes they fly rather than preference. I find the experience is slightly better with easyJet but you can get cheaper fares with Ryanair.
Does Guinness brew in the UK? I thought it was brewed in Dublin. According to the Wikipedia page, the Guinness brewery in Park Royal, London, closed in 2005. Since then, all Guinness sold in the UK and Ireland has been produced at the St. James's Gate Brewery in Dublin. They're opening a microbrewery in Covent Garden but that's scheduled to open in 2025.
EZY is the more professional of the two. However, when all's said and done, it's each carrier's route network which will be the deciding factor. For example, Ryanair scores with the former E Europe and if/when the Ukraine situation is settled then Ryanair says it will establish flights there as soon as it can.
I must say the extra for the big carry on vs in hold. If your big carry on Is a 3 kg+ in dry weight then go shopping again, they can get below 1 kg. Ryanair charges 13 eur for priority & 2 carry on (only 13.99 eur for 10 kg hold) Easyjet charges 22.49 gbp for the large carry on (15.49 gbp for 15 kg hold) Ryanair Is definately cheaper than Easyjet on the carry on part. Yet easyjet Is more generous with the 15 kg vs 10 (one week in the sun means I have to pack 13 kg). Easyjet will give me a better value on hold luggage. I say Its pretty equal If you add the factor of checked luggage but for carry on only Ryanair beats easyjet.
I have to say I never fly Ryanair. easyJet on the other hand I''ll fly happily. I'm more comfortable in A320 family aircraft. They feel slightly roomier. But both pilots seemed to absolutely butter the landing.
All your Guinness in the UK is brewed in Dublin. I see the trucks go out on the docks everyday. The reason its terrible in the UK is because it gets worse in travel and then you guys can't pour it properly! :)
Great video Dom, but Guinness hasn't been brewed in England for almost two decades now. The stuff you drink in the UK is the real deal, imported from the Dublin brewery and has been since 2005.
For many reasons I have to say EasyJet and hope your well mate fantastic vid and the comparisons the everything about this vid outstanding keep it up dom
I'd always pick easyjet because I dont like the way ryansir do buisness practices by springing extra charges on when you misread the policy info. I'd happily pay a few quid extra with easyjet because I trust them not to try and RIP me off as soon as they got the chance. Also flying into an airport that's actually close to your destination saves you money on taxis or transfers.
I've flown both many times but I have a preference for EasyJet. However, Ryanair fly to so many more places and so I often end up with Ryanair more often than EasyJet. Also, I miss fly-on-the-wall documentaries. You don't see normal every day people doing normal everyday things nowadays. Except on TH-cam of course!
I was shocked when your first drink wasn't a coffee!! I've only flown with easyJet once back in 2016 and from memory I didn't think there was anything wrong with it, but I don't remember much of it as it was so long ago. Most recently flew with Ryanair in September this year, and from looking at the seating plan (yes I paid to book our seats 🙈) the seats on the right of the plane in the front half have a slightly bigger seat pitch than the right side by about half an inch. The easyJet seat looked so much more comfortable than Ryanair, so I think easyJet wins it for me
Have flown both many times and there’s not much to choose between them. For me, the only thing that differentiates them are their aircraft, and EasyJet wins hands down with the Airbus. I am not a lover of the Boeing 737.
easyJet, any day. I’m partially sighted and use passenger assistance whenever I fly. easyJet staff are friendly, professional, and always provide a personal safety briefing. As I cannot see the main briefing adequately. The last two times I’ve flown with Ryanair, passengers with special assistance were neglected or worse. No personal safety briefing; and when I asked why not, their reply was that I’d said I’d flown with them before. They also said vision impaired passengers weren’t allowed to sit in isle seats, blocking non-disabled middle or window seat passengers- not allowed in the emergency exit rows I’m used to and cool with - and they gave no regard to this being my pre booked seat, that I chose, to sit where I can see and easily interact with cabin crew. I’m either avoiding Ryanair like the plague, or will be recording the entire flight to whack them, disability campaigns, and the CAA with, if necessitated to fly with them again. Genuinely felt unsafe with both those crews. And I’m a very confident flyer.
@@caregiver3504 I’m going to have to read up on this, because it’s never come up on any other carrier. Plus, if that plane is filled with black smoke (god forbid), it’s me and my orientation skills (requiring less line of sight) that’ll be best for getting out to that exit. Ryanair are not alone in providing free seat allocation to PRM passengers, though - BA, easyJet, Virgin, Korean, Finnair, all airlines I’ve organised the same with. Ryanair actually restrict what seats PRM passengers can choose, in ways I’ve seen no other airline do; but they still let me choose that aisle seat.
@robovac3557 Have you ever flown on Ryanair with someone who has a disability? My cousin has a disability in her leg, so having to sit in a window seat unable to move or bend their legs, isn't pleasant ,also the majority of the times you book assistance, which is needed as Ryanair doesn't use air bridges, at least 2 or 3 times for every 10 flights they forget to have any assistance at the arrival airport. Having to walk a quarter of a mile from the top of the stairs along a footpath to passport control as they had to in Bratislava last month wasn't easy for able-bodied passengers, never mind the three passengers with disabilities. Or are they difficult to keep happy as well?
Ryanair is the better airline you can rely on them to get you there the same can't be said for easyJet they have let me down so many times over the past few years I now avoid flying with them if possible
Flown both many times, Ryanair budget flights pricewise however easyJet offer a more comfortable flight and are by far the better carrier. Never had an issue with easyJet. Another fab video Dom …So easyJet all the way
Which do you think is better and why? EasyJet or Ryanair?
easyjet for me. havent flown Ryanair since 2017
Easyjet 😉🧡
Ryanair way better

Flown on both it just depends. I do like the way Ryan Air go all out with the low cost though.

Great video again!
Coffee on Ryanair is one of the best
There's nothing wrong with either of them apart from price, but that can swing to either of them depending on the day. The one that seems the most iffy is Wizz, but they seem okay. Also 6:15, these multiple stumbles could've been edited around.
18:39 this is because this is the old easyJet cabin that only the a319s have 👍🏻
They do feel so much smaller.
Sorry, but this this is the new one that you can find on the A320s. The old cabin has a square indentation around the windows.
@ these are defiantly the old seats
@ You find these on all A319 cabins.
@ yeah the colourful seats can make it feel less spacious, some weird human cytology crap
EasyJet for me….but would use Ryanair if that’s the budget airline for my destination. Another great video, Dom 😊
Love Ryanair have flown with them many times no problem.
Great report, Dom. Generally happy to fly either airline - it'll come down to the fare and the schedule. But I do tend to find Easyjet more expensive than Ryanair.
I’ve quite a soft spot for Ryanair. Super vid as always Dom.
Why was the food not served on board? You said a safety issue. Was it because of turbulance or something else?
I love videos like this. Thanks for sharing 😊

All Guinness sold in the UK is brewed in Dublin. They closed down the Park Royal (London) brewery in 2005!
Now we’ve had battle of the budget carriers, next could be battle of the holiday carriers, TUI vs Jet2
Personally I prefer easyJet but that's partly down to my having flown them since I was a kid, their route network at my home airport NCE being much much bigger and just their crews always being so friendly and welcoming. Ryanair .
No arguments, I have spoken.
End of.
What was the safety issue on EasyJet? , to mention it without an explanation leaves your report of the flight unfulfilled.
Have you ever had airline food that isn’t “actually quite nice”?
Does Guinness brew in the UK? I thought it was brewed in Dublin.

id imagine so
@@RA-fm8wr they do but only in cans.

Imagine Flying ryanair from Dublin to London stansted
Great video Dom, but Guinness hasn't been brewed in England for almost two decades now. The stuff you drink in the UK is the real deal, imported from the Dublin brewery and has been since 2005.

Ryanair are better in my view, prices are alot cheaper most of the time and have,a newer fleet of boeing aircraft. And fly to more destinations.
Easyjet...tho not on every route i need to fly...
Easyjet hands down.
I'd rather walk than fly Ryanair.

PRN regulations state a mip/VIP can not occupy an aisle seat, I prefer Ryanair because all prn passengers get free seat selection

I mean... Why is this even a question 😐
Wizz vs ryanair would have been more fair
Guinness does not travel well as i have had it in Spain & USA and both terrible
Better one is Ryanair because I rate it 5 out of 5 ❤❤🎉🎉🎉
EASYJET BY FAR, NO COMPARISON
Luton airport is a dump a right kip
Easyjet, more comfortable seats, better boarding procedures, nobody trying to sell me scratch cards
Easyjet for me is the best i wouldnt ever use Ryanair again disgusting
Easyjet uses Airbus. Ryanair uses Boeing. No contest.
