Taking the measurements after 1 set once the strings have settled is super interesting! Tells a completely different story. In theory it makes sense that you could continue to use gut until it actually breaks and replace the poly once it loses elasticity.
Aloha Sean, Yes, I was surprised with those readings after playing only one set! We'll see if I decide to recycle the natural gut strings after two months. 🤙
Hi Albert! Wishing you a speedy recovery. I've had 3 separate hand surgeries for trigger fingers. Luckily, they were during the off-season here in Utah.
Aloha Carl, Wow, three surgeries! Sorry to hear. I hope this will be the only one for me. I had two prior cortisone shots and it worked temporarily, but I understand that this should be a permanent fix. 🤙
Aloha Albert, I had a trigger finger release surgery on my left middle finger on Tuesday and I've been experiencing tennis (pickleball) elbow pain on my right arm for the past month. I have one more match to play this Saturday and will rest from playing after that. My bandages will come off next week which will make stringing a lot easier. 🤣

Just wondering what the values for DT and SBD (@3:20) column would be If for "Recycled racquet" you increased Cross-Prince Vortex 18-NEW stringing tension for say 1 or 2 lb - to 41-42 lb Would the reading be close to bottom row labeled NEW??

Aloha Mi, It's hard to say for sure, but if I were to guess, the DT and SBD would fall in somewhere between the "Recycled" and "New" racquets. 🤙
