I appreciate how the camera crew made sure to never show us the details on the map that everyone was cheering about.
yup, first i thought it was intentional but its starting to feel like a massive fuck up. Still fun to watch but....well, we are all seeing to elephant in the room.
thatryanguy have you ever done a live event? With camera, lights, audio, props, video, set? No? There's a thousand things to focus on and when you are trying to catch something people are reacting to live you're typically on a 30 second delay from reaction to getting a camera to focus on that and by then it can be over.
They're busting their asses at these events with days of set up and prep and in the end it's improv so they can't know what's coming.

yes i have done live events, ive helped organise several day music festivals....we are literally talking about one fucking static camera aimed 1 inch up. I'm not asking em to move the fucking theater slightly to the left, just angle up the camera.

Man I love how jim had them all so stressed and tense the whole game that they all forgot all about their own characters and didnt even think to take advantage of their abilities
Well, only if they used a fitting weapon, they were allowed to actually use their character.
They need to keep giving Mike a budget and access to professional printing tools so he can continue to make sick table top crossovers.
Mike is a game designer genius!

Gotta agree with a couple other comments. I wish we'd been able to SEE the cool / exciting stuff happening on the map.
Check the VOD on twitch. It has all that stuff. I think they didn't use it because it has usernames of some of their twitch contributors.

Amazing job to all! A neat crossover and execution. I would agree with the comments that it would have been nice to see the map screen, but you live and learn. Now we know for next time something like this happens!

I think it's great that Mike role models all these different ways to DM that may prove attractive for novice players to become the person behind the screen. All of his previous DM outings were different and each very enjoyable.
role playing games definitely struggle with getting new players to adjudicate their own groups
That was pretty clever. I really enjoyed this.
Ran this, this evening with only 2hrs prep, and it went great. Changed a few things like adding bags and armor. I also made the event determined by a D20 and a 20 event list. Highly recommend this as a one off!!!!!
Mike is an absolute genius... I kept waking up my wife laughing at just every little reference.
Awesome dungeon content, and concept! I wish we had the means for camera work for our podcast, but of course, these guys are somewhat of a standard for D&D gameplay. Keep up the good work.

Strix is the best addition to the party since Viari came on board.
She is excellent at role playing her character, but sadly her character is far too annoying. She is quick to give up and run away. Like Aoefel/Wil Wheaton, she really brings a lot to the audience, but little to any game.

If Pat could play Driebus Beestinger from the C Team games as a guest character that could be amazing.
Bill Henry the best characters are those who have flaws and are played accordingly. If all players just played without some sort of personality the game would be boring as hell.
