Back up cameras really help but I do admit it takes practice to get used to it. So yeah, at the end of the day, just keep practicing. You’ll get better at it. (:

The confusion, for new drivers, is that the front of the car goes in the opposite direction to your steering. It takes a while to get used to, even though it's common sense.
I thought I'm the only one who is confused. I bet my instructor has alot of students also confused, she just only keep silent. thanks to this video

Damn, I'd be so pissed if I failed my driving exam for some stupid dude dropping his wallet. Or even passing behind a car with its white lights on.
Not just during an exam, but once you start driving, you'll realize how much people dgaf about you reversing and won't bother looking at cars and where they're going
Especially in the smartphone era.
The driver in the wallet story sounded pretty unlucky. You do need to keep a lookout for people ignoring your reversing lights, though. Especially children in supermarket parking lots. And keep in mind, pedestrians almost always have priority there. Also, don't assume that your reversing lights are actually working. You can't see them, so you never know!

Straight to the point, just what I needed! I kept reversing without really knowing why the car was doing what it is doing. This helped me become more conscious of the movements I make during the reverse progress.
Literally the best drivers ed resource all over the internet and anywhere.
I admire people who can reverse so easily. I never try the reverse park manoeuvre because I simply can't do it! 😪😢🙄
Try it on some clear parking spot. Bring cones with you, or even backpacks. Practice with these.
Then when you start getting questions, then try finding answers from masters like Conduite Facile

Having about 150 hours in a simulator, I starting getting hang of it.

@@okie1630 and after having 8 years of experience in REAL LIFE, I can say, anybody can drive a vehicle whether it's forward or reverse. You need knowledge and experience (practice to get more)

I struggle a lot when I have to straighten the wheel while backing out
supremely helpful, even for someone who already got their license.
When reversing I just think about the direction I want to go and turn and steer in that direction

As always a great tutorial! Even though I already have my license, I sometimes learn a new trick or a better way of explaining it to one of my friends. For instance, I use the back window and the side mirrors in exactly the same way when going into a parking spot, but I could never have explained it that well. Thank you!
I’m re-watching Carlos’ old videos because I’m 15, and I will get my permit in 3 1/2 months and I want to prepare myself for my first driving moments. They are so addictive, easy-to-understand, and he makes the topics look like a piece of cake!

this was so helpful! it addressed about the problems that i struggle with the most when reversing (e.g., playing with the wheel too much, getting confused on which direction to turn the wheel, straightening the tires) and now i have a slightly better understanding of how to fix these habits so thank you!
if you walk backwards you’ll wanna be looking backwards. not using like a makeup mirror or something to see what’s behind you
When doing reverse, I usually turn-on the hazard signal and hit the hell out of the horn so people will notice me.

This is a very good video and clear tutorial. Thanks for this! I'm just less than 1 month in practicing driving (not everyday) and I really sucks at reversing and straightening the car when parking. I'll just practice and practice it by applying what I've learned from this video.

My biggest issue is reversing into crowded or between parking lanes.... just like you said I use both hands lose the point as to where my wheels are turned to !!! and then have a really hard time parking it .... I think I was looking for something simpler than this, such as how to turn the wheel to make the car move a certain way. It would be easier to understand if it was step-by-step, such as turn the wheel this much in this direction and the car will move this way. Then take the next step to make the next move. I want to better visualize how the car moves when I turn the wheel a certain way. I also want to better understand how much I need to turn the wheel in different scenarios. Visuals of how turning the wheel affects car movement would be really helpful.
different cars have different turning ratios, the best way to learn about this is by experimenting on an empty road or parking lot
Could you make a video on driving at night, it’s like its whole different perspective and I have difficulty determining how to stay in my lane without relying on the lines on the road

I finished my driver's Ed class and got approved for my certificates to take the test. And I've practice but it was hard to reserve because on how I should moving the steering wheel. But this was way easier to have it explained, thank you(＾3＾♪

When your in drive your steering wheel steers the front wheels and in reverse it turns the rear wheels, I hope that helps

my prob is not knowing if the wheels are straight lol .. im ALWAYS doubting they're straight bc they're not like go kart wheels. it takes more than one turn to get car wheels straight bc of weight diff..
