- In this video you will see my top tip In order to never stay in the wrong direction again! Yes that’s right. If you regularly forget which way to steer when reversing, this video is the one for you.
I always get so confused when reversing, it has even made me so despondent. Thank you so much this helps a lot. I will keep watching this video
Happy to help but don’t let things stress you out. A huge part of learning, is learning from the difficulties. You honestly can do anything if you give it your own touch.
All a driving instructor is, or should be, is a question setter. You’ll be amazed how much you know, and thinking about things your way is truly the best way. You’ll be great out there 👊
You gave me a reason to get out of my garage and go do my errands thank you❤
Love that! 👊
Thanks ever so much getting confused a little when reversing this has cleared so much up and its actually really simple plus go slow 👍👏
I’ve always been really scared of driving because of my first driver’s ed teacher. One of my biggest problems is reversing out of a parking space with other cars next to my car. You’ve been a great help!
As simple as this may look, it is one of the best videos I have seen for beginners like myself. So, kudos!
Thank you so much. It’s such a common mistake, so hopefully this video will help many get over it quickly and stress free.

Thank you. I hope the it makes things easier for you. Soooooooo many people get confused with their steering while reversing. So much so that I would say that 75% of all clients that come to me have the same confusion. Hence the tip. 😉
Thanks
These videos are helping me alot thank you.
Thank you for your feedback. Is there any other subjects that you’d like to see?
@@learntodrivetheeasyway Yes. One of my problems when turning left and right into a new road is that I straighten the wheel either too early or too late after ive made the turn.
Any tips how to fix this would be appreciated.
This is a very common fault and is usually caused due to a lack of confidence in steering. What you want to do is straighten up the steering wheel when you’re around halfway into the corner. Straighten up slowly and don’t be afraid to pause your steer if you are seeing that you’re straightening up too early. The other thing that you can do is let the steering wheel return itself to straight by simply letting go of the steering wheel and using the accelerator to control when it straightens itself up. I am NOT suggesting you do this on the test but it allows you to see the ‘rate of steer’ required. I’ll try to put a video up of this in the next few days.
@@learntodrivetheeasyway Thanks
Thank you 😢😢😢

Very useful video ! I have one question about steering at roundabouts is there any tips for oversteering around big roundabouts??
Thank you for your kind words.
In answer to your question, it’s hard for me to say why you might be oversteering. It could be due to a few different things, but without seeing you do it, it will only be speculation.
The first is down to the driver looking straight out the windscreen which means they can’t plan for the curves. To remedy this, have glances out if the driver side window,
The second is down to a lack of steering adjustments. Commonly, a learner does not micro manage the steering. It’s much better to make lots of minute adjustments often, then to make big movements late.
The third is simply a lack of experience. With experience a driver will just look at a bend/curve and know how much steer that bend/curve will need.
The forth cause is due to poor seating position. If you sit too low, it makes visual-spatial (width perception) accuracy harder to judge.
There are a few other possibilities but these are the most common reasons why the fault you mentioned may arise. Do any of them sound like they could be the issue?
@@learntodrivetheeasyway Thank you for replying. I recently started big roundabouts so I think it is lack of experience and steering adjustments, I think I overestimate how much of an impact the steering wheel has on your positioning. I will definitely glance at the side mirror to check my positioning. Thank you !
Thank you so much
My husband has been biting my.head off about my confusion for reversing

Hello sir. My big problem is when l'm steering the wheel l don't how much need to turn 😒
@@sweetygungadeen7033 👋. Do you struggle with this issue only when reversing, or when you’re going forwards too?
Forwards too
@@sweetygungadeen7033 how many hours of lessons have you had so far?
2.11 would you do a full turn, slightly turn or full lock
I’d start with half a revaluation, then add I take away depending on what you see. Hope that helps 😀👍
Sir am from india!
My question is can we turn right or left the back door handle coincide with curb or the oject when the car is reversed
Hello from London! Hope you’re well. Can you re-explain what you mean please?
I get confused with which way to turn the wheel when I’m reversing out of a forward bay
Use the method in this video. I promise it works.
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Please how to pack a car
What do you mean by pack?
Sorry
@@learntodrivetheeasyway fold it inside your backpack
@@moenlighted7681 I’m not carrying that up a hill!
A good grief 🎉
When reversing, the STEERING IS INDEED THE REVERSE!! This video is spreading misinformation. When I turn my wheel right, the front of my car will go to the left.
