You make it look so easy I’m literally 19 and I’m just soooo nervous to drive. I’ve driven for maybe 20 minutes, but no one really wants to teach me. And when they do they constantly yell and my confidence goes to zero. UPDATE: I got my drivers license in December!! If I can do it so can you❤️
@@aprilvirginiaa_ don’t give up girl! Keep watching videos and each time apply whatever you learned and try driving around your neighbour hood where there’s not a lot of traffic so you can just practise turning and getting used to your car that’s what imma do today
My fear when it comes to driving is that I don't trust the steering wheel to straighten on it's own, but this video eased some of that fear. Thank you!!!!!!
Try this when u r driving on a smaller street(I mean in the neighborhood), and u can see if u press on the gas pedal(accelerator), the steering wheel will take care of straightening
I failed twice because of my high anxiety. I quickly change my mind and decided to hire and paid a professional private and license Dmv agent that help me bypass the text drive and got me a provisional driver license. I'm good with that because it has no limitation just like any other license. If you failed and haven’t gotten your license yet, it’s okay. No rush takes your time and if you fail you can always try again. Trust I was down in the dumps, and I had a stressful year losing my dad, working, and taking care of my grandma. You guys got this!!!
I had the same driving anxieties and didn't get my license til 24. It took a full 2 years before I tried the highway and still avoided it when I could. But eventually need pushed me out of my safety zone, just like need pushed me toward my license. And at this point I have driven across the U.S. and back.
Oh that’s a very sad story , sounds as if we both be in the same shoes I been unlucky twice and I’m actually fed up tbh 😵how can I hire a test drive professional please?
I got my permit at 16 and I'm now 18 and I'm so scared of driving I never went back. I probably need to tho cuz my permit expired and it's not like I can use it for the rest of my life but I also can't even park a car. So they'd probably fail me if I went since I haven't even been on a road with more than one lane and now I need my license and wouldn’t want to go through the stress of going for the rest so if there’s any way I can contact the professional who helped with yours I would be very glad
Got my Ontario license in 1979. (Yeah I'm old now) Back then you just had the one learners permit called the '365'. Had to renew it twice because it took me 2 yrs to pass a road test. However, been accident-free since then. The rules may seem common-sense to you, but there are a lot of morons out there who have to told everything multiple times, using small words. (or so it seems)
My provisional license is recently expired, and I have been looking for a way to reach out to someone that can help me renew it. Can you recommend me to any?
For UK driving: For Left turn- align the car number with the curb For Right turn- align shoulder with the curb,,, Am I correct 🤔😊Pls let me know if my understanding is correct.. excellent tutorials..thank a lot
My problem is when I’m turning off of my street i go kinda slow because I’m scared of applying too much gas and zooming off. UPDATE 4/20/2021 : took my drivers test and passed 😁😊. Good luck to anyone who has a test coming up!!!
Your explanation helps me to understand well why letting go of the steering wheel matters. You are way better than my short tempered driving instructor.
Just got mine after a couple of attempts! Remember, failing the test doesn't mean you're a bad driver - keep practicing and stay positive. If you're feeling nervous about the drive test, consider getting a provisional driver's license. This allows you to skip the driving test and get your license sooner. Just like I did, you can contact a private license and professional DMV attorney to help you with this process. With a provisional license, you can drive for 12 months before renewing it. Good luck on your driving journey!
I just took my test for the 4th time today and woefully failed again. I don’t know why if I correct a mistake from the past test, I tend to get too overwhelmed and make another error, smh, how can I fix this please?
@@WayneMartin-x1e since you get too happy for small achievements, I would suggest you should be discrediting yourself sometimes and wait till your perfect on the wheel before you praise yourself. Don’t believe you know it all.
i have so much anxiety when it comes to driving and your calm manner really helps me understand the technique. i always had problems with the letting go of the wheel and pressing the gas but now after your video i will practice with your methods, thank you!
Sir you helped me passed my drivers test with this video 😭 I had already failed twice so your video helped me improved my turns to the point where I actually passed this time, thank you so much!
Learnt to drive with different teachers for two hours and remember being criticized and blank the whole time but after watching this video for 5 minutes I figured I can manage to be a good driver with more practice and less fear. Thank you very much!
Just passed my drivers test a couple days ago! It's thanks to this video. For many months of driving lessons my turns have always been so bad and have never been able to get the hang of the hand over hand method until I discovered this video. The way you taught it is very clear and not confusing.
After 2 fails I finally got my license! It's pretty easy for the evaluator to fail you for simple mistakes so keep your head up if it happens. Failure doesn't necessarily mean you're a bad driver. Keep practicing and go at it again. You're bound to get someone who believes in you. But for me I took a step further by contacting a private license and professional dmv agent that helped me to write a provisional letter to bypass the test drive and i was given a provisional driver's license which will last for 12 months. I got a license now and it will serve for 1 year then I renew again. My little advice. * If you think are too nervous for the test drive then you can easily switch to a provisional driver's license which you won't need to test drive.
Congratulations on getting your driver's license! It's inspiring to hear about your persistence and determination. Your advice about not giving up after failures and seeking support from a professional agent is valuable. Thank you for sharing your experience and tips with others. Drive safely and enjoy your newfound freedom on the road!
I’m happy for you. It’s been a very horrific story for me😢 I don’t know why I don’t have luck whenever it comes to getting my test it’s either I’m with a bad supervisor or I’m just the one with the problem, I have failed my test thrice now and I am fed up now but seeing this I would love to ask if you can guide me on how to hire one
I'm gonna be 27 and still don't have my license because my family always keeps me inside the house. Luckily I applied for jobs to find my way out of this cage. They only taught me to drive i neighborhoods and shame me for not getting a license like my younger cousin who's mom is less strict. I'm tired of it and am tired of my life being drained, I want to take action for my own life and am doing it slowly but believe soon I can at least get my license and looking at your comment on this video gave me hope. How can I hire the license professional?
Love the details! Perfect for brand new inexperience drivers! When I first started, I couldn’t tell the safe distances to start a turn or how much of the wheel to turn!! and I didn’t know the steering wheel straightens out itself either. My driving instructor didn’t understand how I never knew that. But it was literally my first time ever touching a steering wheel! It makes me so mad when ppl assume details like which pedal is which is an automatic instinct!! It really isn’t. I haven’t even played a driving game in my life! Now that I’m driving comfortably, my friend recently told me, that my hand over hand method to make full turns in ‘incorrect’ and that I should be shuffling instead and never ever cross my hands. I had to come on here to confirm it. Thanks for the confirmation!
Very nice work, thank you. As a driving instructor myself in Northern Ontario, I'm always looking for cool teaching tips. It's amazing how much we have to break things down into their several elements for the purposes of instructing. What may seem natural to seasoned drivers is actually quite complex for newer ones, like how the gas, the break and the steering wheel are so 'connected'.
I was struggling today😫 and this video randomly popped up on my recommended page 😖God can see my struggles fr cuz today I have so many mental break downs not knowing how to turn the wheel, not knowing how to stay in lane, not knowing when I’m gonna hit the curb😞😞.this video come on my way at the right time, thank u, I feel more confident now that I’m gonna do good tomorrow
Thanks for your lesson is was so informative. I enjoy every moment of it my fear in driving is the turn I always go too slow . But from your lesson I realize is because I'm holding the steering so tomorrow I will to it your way and I do how to do my turns better after watching your tutorial s . Stay bless . Keep up the good works .
This video helped soo much. I started lessons on May 8th and my road test was May 21st. I passed 🥳 but the key is practice like crazy and get all the nerves out. Don't let nerves hold you back and make you fail. Just relax and I said everything I was doing right so the person testing me heard me say things like, "I'm checking my mirrors now" etc. Good luck to everyone starting out and you got this! 🤞🏼🧡
The first time I drove my friend's car, they were so surprised I could make turns and this video had a lot to do with it. As a beginner, it's encouraging to know some things you can pick up quickly and they become second nature to you after.
Me too I've studying hard since I was 12 my family always would give me small tips and stuff so I can memorize them and now I'm almost 15 and I am working towards getting mine I want to be 100% prepared
I love the tip about aligning your shoulder with the curb. Things like that really help my visual-spatial orientation, since I'm a visual learner and I often get distracted by things like signs while driving. Thank you!
I'm delighted to hear that the tip was helpful for your visual-spatial orientation. It's great that you've found a technique that works well for your learning style. Safe driving, and thank you for your positive feedback! 😊
Bruh i wish you were the one teaching me🙃, i almost crashed my mom's car today when i tried to turn at the roundabout, she yelled "BREAK BREAK BREAKKKK!" i was so scared like the car was about to explode 😂
I can imagine that. I used to hear such stories from my students. I guess parents get scared because they do not have a break on their side. We as instructors have a control on the car and are therefore a more relaxed. :) Well, all the best to you. Hope my videos help. :)
Hello. I’m 24 years old getting my license in July, (dmv has been backed up for a whole year) I watch a lot of your videos and wanted to say thank you so much ! I am able to try and apply these with my car so I can be ready for drivers training
I have been dreading driving ever since , however took a few lessons and practiced A LOT, and passed my G2 toad test in the first go. I have watched your videos over and over again and they helped me a lot. Thank you so much Harminder ! You should make more videos on driving , as they are super helpful.
Congratulations on passing your G2 road test! 🎉 I'm thrilled to hear that my videos were helpful for you. Thank you for the kind words! I'll definitely keep making more driving videos. If you have any specific topics you'd like covered, let me know. Safe and happy driving! 🚗😊
This is what I was taught today in driving school. I'm learning with a manual car, it's a lot of work. It almost felt like a workout session, I was sweating so much😅
I attended my first driving lesson and my instructor said I need more practice with my left and right turns. What’s interesting is that what he taught is not exactly what’s said in this video, so I’ll try applying what you’ve taught to tomorrow’s driving lesson. I got so discouraged because I had so many mistakes today, but I’ll really try to drive well on my upcoming lessons.
It's common to feel discouraged in the initial lessons, but remember, mistakes are part of learning. Keep practicing and applying what you've learned-it'll improve your confidence. Stay positive, and you'll do great in your upcoming lessons! Good Luck! 🚗😊
I got my G1 license and will start learning how to drive. Thank you so much for explaining the techniques in such a simple manner. It helps a lot and gives an understanding of the mechanics of driving.
Turning left and right are my biggest struggle everytime I'm driving and failed so many times because of that. Until I watched this video. I HAD MY LICENCE TODAY! Thank you so much sir! You are heaven sent! You can do it too guys, nothing is impossible! Goodluck!
Same here 😫I’m having a mental breakdown rn like seriously and my instructor have no freaking patient like I’ve known how to drive already 🙄 I don’t know if I’m gonna be able to fix those issues later on once I practice more😞😞hopefully. If anyone know some tips on how to stay in lane pls don’t shy to tell me🤦♀️🙏

That's fantastic news! I'm so glad the tip about lining up with the curb has made a positive difference for you. Keep up the great work, and if you ever have more questions or need tips, feel free to ask. Happy driving! 🚗
The reason why the hand over hand method is not recommended when turning the steering wheel is because if you crash and the airbag pops out, you will be blocking it with your arm....
Thank you for explaining it well! I gained confidence in driving because of this. I am new in driving and almost hit a tree when I turned right, from then I didn't practice driving anymore. But because of this video, I learned a lot! I will try to drive again. Thank you!
I am so sorry to hear that you almost hit a tree while driving. I hope you are doing alright and, please feel free to watch the rest of the videos I posted for more information at your convenience.
He seems like an excellent teacher. The one thing I was taught by my instructor when learning how to drive that helped me is when you're making a left turn from an uncontrolled stop sign, you would stop twice. Once to look for pedestrians. Then creep up slowly to the line, stop again to look for traffic. From what i was told, on the 2nd stop you want to start turning your wheel SLIGHTLY to the left before making the turn. That seems to help complete your left turn from a stop sign. Once you're ready to make the turn, just like this instructor said you turn the wheel 3 quarters to the left and you sort of let go of the wheel to let it go straight. But never let go of the wheel entirely because you want to be able to control the car. Now remember, this is just for left turns on stop signs. When turning left on intersections with traffic lights is completely different. When waiting for traffic to clear on a light to make the left turn you never turn the wheel at all. You keep the wheel straight until you're ready to make that turn. Reason for this is because if a car hits you from behind, your car will roll into oncoming traffic. Thanks for posting this video and drive safely!
Surprisingly I use this method before watching this video. It took me several tries and time to perfect a smooth turn. Definitely staying calm helps the most 😌
I am from USA and I struggled A LOT on turns! I always hold on the steering wheel to correct it! I didn't know all cars are designed to straighten itself! What are great video! Gives me more idea how to do turns when I practice with my instructor! I get yelled at a lot with my husband already and I don't want to hear it with my instructor! :D

I have cleared my G2 road test. The left and right turns were problem for me initially. I have watched this video a couple of times and the result was wowwww... Thanks alot for such a great video. It really helped alot.
Very very easy to learn. I started my stimulator two months now and I’m jet to turn well and still don’t know where to stop at it really making me nervous but with this I believe I can. God bless you with more wisdom knowledge and understanding.
As I struggled with turns, this is what got into my eyes: For 90 degree turns I like 6 hours method with one hand. It allows for a precision and speed, also it allows for manual return to the same 6 hours, exactly when you want it - all without the need to speed the car up. So you do it with one hand. Place it at 6 hours. Then rotate it till -6 hours 15 mins for left turn, and +6 hours 15 mins for tight turn. To back simply rotate back and move it down. As the "down" is 6 hours exactly - wheels are straight right now and without the need to speed up the engine. Idk if one hand turning is allowed for your driving exam though.
my instructor didn't teach me how to do this....he got stressed when I'm turning left and right....Cool Instructor like this makes the student more calm and can't add more panic in his driving. 5 stars for you sir!
m watching this video again and again...thank u so much man for this video... 5 and half hours driving class is done, still m struggling to do proper left and right turns😐 i hope i will do it one day 👍
Thank you for your support! I'm glad to hear the video is helpful to you. Keep at it, driving can be challenging at first, but with persistence, you'll get the hang of those left and right turns. Practice makes perfect, and I'm confident you'll get there soon! 👍🚗😊
Thank you, I’ll try these in my driving lesson next time. I don’t know why my driving teachers didn’t tell me these tricks. I learned more in your 7min video. Thank you 😊
Hand over hand is actually recommended in our books in Sweden, the thing they watch out for is if you maintain control over the vehicle. Hand over hand is something everyone does after passing the test anyway, it's the only natural thing to do if you want smooth driving. Shuffling the wheel around actually poses more risks and becomes far less accurate.
Hand-over-hand is allowed in the UK, but not recommended. Personally I dislike it, because to me it just looks sloppy and unprofessional. As for posing more risks and being less accurate, I think you will find these are just old wives' tales: push-pull has been taught to our emergency drivers for as long as I've been alive (over 50 years), and if it posed the slightest risk to the crews or the public, then it would have been changed decades ago. With the push-pull technique, both hands are always in the ideal position to respond to changing needs, an advantage not enjoyed by any other method. The 'jagged inputs' proponents of hand-over-hand claim is a disadvantage of push-pull are also just a figment of someone's imagination, from what I can see. It is true it does happen with learners, but that's because they're learning, not because there's anything intrinsically wrong with push-pull. In my experience they're just as bad with hand-over-hand, so I take that old chestnut with a pinch of salt.
@@notspooky1990 Hard press to see a scenario when you use that maneuver at any speed. I only do it when i'm in parking lots or at very slow speeds making a u-turn. At any higher speed you would have no use for it.

Thank you, this was very helpful to me using the numbers. I've tried to remember where to put my hands exactly when turning but this one made more sense to me.
Thank you so much for making this video! It helped me understand how to turn the wheel perfectly. I'm 18 years old, my first time driving was with my dad. He gave up on me after 15 minutes of learning to drive. As I took my turn he yelled at me because my turn was unperfect. He never explained how to turn the wheel. My father is the type of person that is very impatient and thinks he's better than everyone else. My second time was with my mom. We took 30 minutes learning tricks. She was very supportive and didn't scream at me. She said i park perfectly and did everything right. Only thing I did not do right was my turn because I was scared to let go of my wheel. My dad won't allow my mom to teach me how to drive no more...I just hope one day someone gives me a chance to practice again.
Thanks so much for your videos which I watched religiously, and I became a license driver on 09/17/21. I watched mostly right and left turns and use/practice the technique hand over hand and never went wrong. I live in Manhattan, NY and the thought of getting a drivers license never crossed my mind, however; the pandemic changed that last year. As long as I'm leaving in the middle of Manhattan I don't think I'm ever going to buy or own a car but it's nice to complete that bucket list.

I'm glad the video is helping you with your driving anxiety. Learning to drive can be challenging, but taking small steps and practicing regularly can make a big difference. Keep at it, and remember that progress takes time. You're doing great, and I believe in your ability to overcome your anxiety and become a confident driver! 😊🚗
I literally learned how to take turns because of you! Like im still a beginner so my dad was "trying to teach" me how to turn but it didnt make sense. But now, i finally got it that i had to hold on firmly the wheel lol, i was scared of the wheel so i would always hold it gently and let the car do what it wanted but that didnt work on turns lol Anyways thanks so much!!
My main problem is that I don’t know when to start turning🥺 I always end up in the wrong lane, and as you said I always get scared when I have to leave the wheels to straightening itself 😩😩😩🤔
Position yourself at the nose of the curve before turning if you go pass it, you will eat the other lane forcing you to steer more than necessary to put yourself in the right lane
Thank you, My friend. It was wonderful and opened my eyes as to how to turn the vehicle. I too had problems with taking turns. Your mathematical explanation was the right answer for me. Now, I am fit enough to drive smoothly. I appreciate your lessons.

Good luck on your driving journey!
with the provisional you can skip the road test right?
I just took my test for the 4th time today and woefully failed again. I don’t know why if I correct a mistake from the past test, I tend to get too overwhelmed and make another error, smh, how can I fix this please?

I’m so scared about turning, even in my neighborhood. This video makes me feel way more confident! Knowing the Turing points makes so much sense.
Hello Samantha! Glad that you have more confidence driving after watching my video tutorials.
Thanks for watching! Have fun teaching.

This video helped soo much. I started lessons on May 8th and my road test was May 21st. I passed 🥳 but the key is practice like crazy and get all the nerves out. This is what I was taught today in driving school. I'm learning with a manual car, it's a lot of work. It almost felt like a workout session, I was sweating so much😅
I attended my first driving lesson and my instructor said I need more practice with my left and right turns. I got so discouraged because I had so many mistakes today, but I’ll really try to drive well on my upcoming lessons.

The reason why the hand over hand method is not recommended when turning the steering wheel is because if you crash and the airbag pops out, you will be blocking it with your arm....
That's how I turn and then release the steering to start moving back through my hands then straighten. My instructor loses it🤭

Definitely staying calm helps the most 😌
Absolutely right, friend! 🙏😊And did you discover the method by yourself or someone taught you?

I’ve been practicing for my license and i’ve been having trouble with my turns so this was very helpful thank you😊
I am glad you found this helpful!
As I struggled with turns, this is what got into my eyes:
For 90 degree turns I like 6 hours method with one hand.

@@PhomoloKhan Sorry for the late response. I am sorry I don't teach driving anymore 😔
I love this vedio
Thank you, My friend. It was wonderful and opened my eyes as to how to turn the vehicle. I too had problems with taking turns. Your mathematical explanation was the right answer for me. Now, I am fit enough to drive smoothly. I appreciate your lessons.
Thank you, brother! I am glad I could help through the lessons. 🙂🙏
Watching this after my first day of driving lesson. I have never drive a car before so my first day was kinda tuff and my major problem is making the turns. Your video makes me understand what's the right thing to do. Hopefully I'll pass it.
Thank you for sharing your experience! I'm glad the video could be of help to you as a new driver. Making turns can be challenging at first, but with practice and guidance, you'll improve. Stay patient and keep learning, and I believe you'll do great on your driving lessons. Good luck, and I'm rooting for your success! 😊
Uncle please come and teach me okay 😪😪you're such a good teacher,I'm scared of my driving instructor 😪
😍😍 Thank you! I wish I could come teach you. Like "Uncle please come and teach me okay"

Thank you, Jasmeet! I am glad the video helped. :)

Congratulations on the first success! Way to go!
Thank you! That is the most intelligent instruction on turning I've ever had. I needed to respect and understand the car, and you gave me that! 🤗
Thank you for the kind words! I feel humbled. 🙏🏽🙏🏽😊
Thank you for this. I wish you were the one teaching me, whenever I practice my dad usually yells at me and calls me stupid for not doing right! And my mom yells at me and freaks out like crazyyyy. Thank you again, this videos are really helpful😃😃😃
Thank you for the compliment! I can completely relate to your experience. 😊😊 Well, good luck learning!
I hate that. My brother does the same thing with me and I make more mistakes, but with anyone else I do fine.
Thanks for the video! I’m taking my second driving lesson today and I’m feeling a little bit better after watching this video. My instructor was trying to teach me to do hand over hand turns on my first lesson but I just didn’t understand how she was explaining it so she got mad at me every time I made a turn and just held the wheel for me. Hopefully I can apply what I learned in this video in my lesson today so I can please the instructor.
My leg tends to shake when I'm driving and I'm really scared of accidentally pushing the gas too hard.
Yesssss anxiety😫
th-cam.com/video/Uu0p7oD4e5k/w-d-xo.html. Do watch this video please. It will help. Driving is not as difficult as you think. All the best, friend!

@@TorontoDrivers Thank you! I passed!! 😄😄
Wow! I like your way of explaining. clear voice, easily understand everything. one of the best video tutorial I've ever watched . great job..thank you.
Thank you very much, Mae! 🙂🙏🏻
I just started learning how to drive with the practical classes last week. Something I have been struggling with is steering wheel control. I’m good at parking manoeuvres but the steering control needs so much work.
I will try your methods in my next class, I hope I can get it good. Thank you!!
Edit: I tried these tips in todays class and made a definite improvement on my turns and straightening out in the parking yard. Thank you so much :')
I am very glad that my technique helped you make better turns. All the best for your test! :)
@@TorontoDrivers Thank you!! I passed my parking exam! I am now watching more of your videos while I road train :)
i failed my first drive test and feeling so down today. tomorrow i go again and i failed because of not having control. all my points deducted were just from that. im so nervous now. i hope i can turn like u tomorrow and remember how your doing this. if i pass tomorrow i will post on here 😂😊
I salute your courage to post about your failure here. It's not easy. This shows that you have the same amount of courage to get back up and re take the test. You shall definitely pass. We will look forward to your message. Good luck! 👍👍
My goodness!! The way you explain everything ☺️☺️ makes it very easy to understand ❤️❤️
I am so glad you find the video helpful. Have a blessed day!
Thank you! I always get confused with this.
Happy to help!
I'm going to try this method today at my third training class in driving school. Thanks
All the best, Zainab! Let me know how it goes. Cheers!
I need help on my turning, staying in my line while driving, and line changing... I have my second driver's ed lesson tomorrow at 8am
You’ll get it. I had those same issues. I took 6 two hour driving lessons 😂 if I can do it, you can too!
Me too!!
Me too! It's been a month, how are you doing? Any tips for me? 😊

@@YSIS257 taking the computer test was very, very easy for me. I was Surprised! And you can pass too. Just study a little bit every day and 2 days before your test study a lot then on the day of study some more then take it and be in your own world taking the test.
