Dr.Kate this is so soothing. I’m using it every morning to help . I have found an interview with Dr. Ruden and he suggests “taking your mind off the problem “ while I guide you through various distractions. Your HAVENING seems to work while staying focused on the grief? I’m having this Catch 22- I don’t know if I should try to stop thinking about the person I lost or to try and keep him in my mind. If you have the time I would love your input . 💞💞💞

Hello Marion, It's lovely to hear from you. Dr. Ruden is speaking about a protocol which has since evolved into a protocol I created called CPR for the Amygdala which is a specific technique that soothes and heals the encoded stressful experiences of the past. This guided meditation includes a few components of CPR for the Amygdala alongside other guided meditation pieces. When I work with grief I'm always balancing the bitter (the loss) with the sweet (the wonderful memories we have of those who have passed on). If you notice more bitter at the outset then I do recommend starting with CPR for the Amygdala before participating in this guided meditation. I'm linking two videos that describe CPR for the Amygdala in greater depth for you:
The science behind CPR for the Amygdala: th-cam.com/video/tmNM5HzBPWI/w-d-xo.html
CPR for the Amygdala with a Guided Practice: th-cam.com/video/UK4oF2YLOio/w-d-xo.html
Wishing all the best in your healing journey. ❤️
