I agree. I am an Indian and whenever I hear my policy makers speak, they come across as completely delusional. I work in the field of AI research and the research and applied AI work coming out of China is significantly ahead than anyone else in the world. And this is an area that we pride ourselves in. Chinese people are head down working hard and delivering constantly without constant discussion and debate. The work ethic is admirable. Unless we start with the same levels of hard work, work ethic and blinders on moving ahead with no distraction, there is no competition and no amount of controls and taxes will change anything

@@kd6931-w2m Exactly. Couldn't have said it better myself. I'm Indian and I have always said this to our people (specially our Indian media and so called experts) that we talk too much but put too little efforts in walking the talk. Our obsession with China sometimes make us look jealous and desperate to a point where people from across the world start making fun of us!! We need to work hard, much harder, in order to compete with China or any other advance nation and stop talking about wild fantasies in a parallel world. Many people called me 'anti-national' for voicing this opinion but I don't care because truth have to be told no matter how bitter it may sound!
Besides the border issue that we have with China, the real threat to India in the long run is the West led by USA. If USA is hell bend in containing the rise of China, Nothing will stop them from doing the same to India, or even worst, as India continues to rise. It's never about democracy, shared values and all those sugar-coated crap... it all about 'Power' and 'Dominance' and USA doesn't like sharing with anyone, forget about India who is a close friend of Russia.!! I don't know why many Indians like to pretend that America will allow India to rise peacefully! It's never going to happen, not even in wildest dream!

Vassals can't even decide who to trade with, or how much they can trade, or who they can be friend with. This is the very reason India doesn't want to be too absorb into the US camp because it comes at a cost - 'sovereignty and real independence as a nation'

He always talk about "sticks and carrots" and stress testing those policies. The local elections in Germany elected Putin supporters, almost the whole Africa support Putin. The global support for US is falling fast.
But these US administration continue to talk about "sticks and carrots"!!!
