there's this little bit of irony or bit of wonder to the history of kerala with its communist leaders. it was our great communist leaders that fought the feudal lords and casteists for the rights of the commoners. first elected communist govt brought the land reforms, made education mandatory for everyone, etc. the capitalist ones fought against these reforms, and as a result the state suffered a period of precident's rule even. the ironic portion comes later in our history, that being, it was communist leaders who brought much of the development to the state as well, even the cyberpark initiatives and the latest one being the now failed proposal for silverline higher speed rail line (k-rail). not entirely crediting the communists for our states humble prosperity, but still. bit of a weird situation of having to elect a communist govt to enjoy a capitalist ecosystem 😂

We are in a precarious situation where police system is designed in such a way that it is not designed to serve the public.
Why police is burdened with virtually everything under the sun? Naturally they become inept at everything and don't register FIRs which increases their work load.
There should be seperate departments in police with clear responsibility accountability and feedback, such as:
    1. Crime report unit - only registers FIRs and reports and related work, has no incentive to not register FIR.
    2. Crime investigation unit, with detectives and FSL people, focus on investigation
    3. Court police, responsible to handle all court stuff
    4. Security police, secures politicians and civilians
    5. Civil cases police
    6. General patrolling police
    7. Swat and related unit
    8. Organized crime police, for serious offences
    9. Drug and smuggling unit
    10. Social harmony unit - takes care of public and its grievances
    11. So and and so forth.
Today's police act of 1861 miserably fails to serve the public, police becomes a tool of politicians instead. Which is terrible.

Sir with all due respect, one of the greatest hindrance to India being a developed country is beurocracy. Specially lower level beurocracy.
A civilian earning lakhs or crores standing before a beurocrat, needing to get a genuine work done, he has to beg. And even the most junior beurocrat acts like "King" the attitude of "I'm above you, bow before me"

This video is just ego boosting, it doesn't tackle topics like income equality, corruption, bureaucracy, quality of government services, law and order, professionalism among government employees, etc.
Achieving $30 trillion GDP doesn't mean you and I will be earning more or the income equality is going to get any better.
The problem with politicians is that they don't do real accurate important talks instead they spend 90% of the time boosting the ego of the public and if something bad happens then run away to London.

You see the "Enthusiasm" on mr. Amitabh. He is brimming with ideas and memories.
A very big example for aspirants of Civil services.
He was the collector when I was working in Kozhikode in 1993. It got transformed like *Kuchelas house* while he was visiting lord Krisna.
Mr. Kant made over Kozhikode into an apparent paradise with the wag of a WAND. He killed the Kozhokode to a transformed Apsaras.

Why beurocracy has literally 0 accountability to the public ? Virtually no incentive to do productive or good work? A government beurocrat fears nothing, suspension means nothing, if he does 0 work he is not fired. In any sane economic system this is unacceptable.
On the other hand, a beurocrat who goes out of the way to do good work is punished !!! Enquiry, vigilance and what not! Why can't we pay incentives to beurocrats who do great work? Why not incentivize them on public works by diverting a significant amount of fees of the public work to his salary as a reward?

All Modi fellows are big mouth. all we need to do is to ensure that all school age children go to school and 10 years from now when they will logically have completed 10 years of education, India can be a different place but that nobody wants to do; just keep taling big. there were 100 smart city project launched around 10 years back what happened to that ; as it fails don't talk about it
