It would be nice if you made a video about how to counter attack hackers trying to hack our cameras. Or at least defend the attack. Thanks though. Really good video with so much info.
simple. get a the new 6 wifi. This attack only affects old wifi. it is not actually an attack its just taking advantage of a bug nobody felt like fixing. With that said regardless of this 'attack' wifi cameras are NOT considered security. its a nice convenience but dont consider it 'security' by any stretch of the imagination,.
@@casimirrxThis isn't exactly how it works. It's the devices that are the issue, so upgrading to Wi-Fi 6 on your end probably won't change anything. Now, if you're talking about implementing 6E, that will do something as the standard requires devices to connect with WPA3. This has mitigations for deauth attacks. That being said, devices that do not support WPA3 will not be able to connect via Wi-Fi with 6E.
The deauth attack will only work against a WiFi camera if the attacker already has access to the network. Correct? If not, the target would be the access point. Correct?
I use some old Toshibas. The biggest issues come from purchasing bleeding edge hardware. The kernels do not have the driver's all the time. Though my Asus A17 41 runs Kali like a dream on bare metal. With a 4060. But it is over kill for anything except hashing and brute force.
Great content as always. Really like the silly aspect of replacing the package with the hat too. ❤
And that's why cameras are on wired network 🤣
I find it funny that smart devices that have fruit names are for hacking..lol blackberry,,wifi pineapple, 😂
Never knew the blackberry was a hacking device what features does it have? Hopefully it's got the ptbpg (peng ting bbm pin grabber)

Either do not use Wi-Fi cameras, use direct connected, ethernet connected cams

@@GhostStrats Agreed - also If you want to still have the functionality of wireless there are a ton of ways you can go about this.
Great video tho

No. Deauth packets can be sent to routers directly. No authentication needed
The deauth could attack down to a specific device
👍
