In Dallas Texas light rail fees are as low as $3.00 for regular tickets for morning and afternoon rides,and I believe for disability it's about$ 1.50...but even so paying the transit fare Seems a small price to pay to avoid the aggravation of going to Jail for warrants...
All because they couldn't pay just $2. Wtf is just $2. If u can't afford to pay $2 then u deff have a problem. I make that in just 2 seconds in work time lol. And I get that some people can't work because of health issues but most of these people look healthy enough to have a job. So again wtf???.

They have a legal obligation to check for people illegally using light rail transport, and they also have a legal obligation to do a quick check to see if a person has a warrant. If you’ve ever been pulled over, they move checked out your record to see if you’re wanted or have a warrant.

But taking a public transportation method and asking for ID licenses is kinda weird. Even in stop and frisk. Terry basics they are checking for weapons things that could hurt others etc. So how does the law explain this warrent running. Maybe effective. However we have to be careful not to violate people's rights. I appreciate the days and nights officers give doing things that most of us wouldn't or can't. 😉

You have to pay to ride the light rail and you get a fare ticket that says you paid for the ride. If you're aboard the train and are asked for your fare ticket and it's valid, no problem, have a nice day. No ticket or expired ticket, you can be cited for evading the fare and taken off the train. To write the citation, your ID is needed. That also allows the PD to check for outstanding warrants. Have a warrant? Free black & white taxi ride to the graybar hotel. For it to be entrapment they would have to *induce* someone to do something they were not intending or inclined to do, were it not for the actions of the government (PD).
