The good days? That depends if you were the kid or the truck driver driving one of these things. If you were a truck driver back in the 90's, the good ole days would have been when company's retired these dinosaurs and bought conventional trucks.
Love cabover's. Especially in the city. I know they typically aren't as good looking as a conventional but who cares about looks when you need to make a sharp turn. Especially in a city like Halifax Nova Scotia Canada, very old and small congested roads.
@@TheRedPanda. ok but he means you cant get them brand new these days. The ones you see are from the 90s and back. Sure there are a few youtubers that have em. But on the hwy I see maybe one or two cabovers every two weeks or so.
@@MICKSHRED I wonder why Kenworth and Freightliner don't sell there new trucks here? Would it really take that much to make trucks that they are still producing available in the U.S.? I realize they are right side drive for the countries that get them but that stuff could be easily flipped in production. It would just be nice to have the availability in America to buy product that these American companies produce. I think the K200 and the Argosy would sell here.
I drove my share of cab overs back in the '80s and '90s. I wouldn't give you a nickel for one. I loved the classic conventional tractors but hated cab overs.
Very rough riding with the earlier spring suspension. Mid 80s I think was when they converted to airbag suspension. Think of it as this. When you use to ride the school bus. It was a smoother ride towards the front of the bus. But if you was seating behind the rear wheels in the back of the bus was a whole different story
I believe International and Freightliner were the companies who really did the set back axle the most to where the door and steps were in front of the wheels but they all started to make their own versions to accommodate comfort and handling. Look at the Kenworths they have in Australia, the K104 & K200 that still carry the look of the K100 but with a more wrap around front bumper and the axle set back just a bit. The Freightliner Argosy is like that too. I guess they figured it wasn't necessary to have it to the extreme as this International and those trucks look great, I wish they were here in the U.S.
@@ericcavanaugh3207 I'm not sure what your point is. Yes, JB Hunt and Schneider used this model truck but that has nothing to do with the brand of the truck and how they were made.
kenworth did do a setback axle cabover here in the US to compete with international and freight liner since it was a prototype but then the cabovers where already on there way outta the United States international still builds the 9800 overseas!
@@kaiscott7498 A glider kit is where you take a new truck body and frame.. but use a pre DEF/Regen/Fck up motor in it. So you get a brand new truck without all the BS on the motor.

Those old JB Hunt cab overs were icons of glory.
it's unbelievable how it is in good condition, almost ready to haul some loads
oh those early 90's as a kid in Atlanta, those things were everywhere. the good days...

That start sequence sounded like an old Cummins N14
In Philippines international cabover truck is super rare
By far the best riding COE built.
Sweet cabover. 🤩
I have my doubts about being a JB Hunt truck. That black box is a wet kit. (Hydraulic) unless it was converted.
Those cabovers are rare use here in the USA nowadays.
Cabover international? I know a few TH-camrs who own one.

What a great truck.

Good looking truck
Hey everybody I just saw a freightliner coe today coming from work

Did 4 years with J.B. Hunt LOL cabovers suck
Air ride makes it the same crap.. conventional rigs have air ride cabs same as cabovers of the late 80’s and up…
@@boblongbow9170 poor JB Hunt drivers took real beating from other drivers back in in 80's and 90's too.
This exactly I am driving, from the Philippines right now. What is the year model of this truck please 🥺🥺🥺🥺
Jb or old pumpkin truck. Lol
It was like riding in the very back seat of the bus. 😂 bouncing all over the place. I don't miss those models.

Did you add switch to drop your air bags
Where did you add them
Sure looks like a old J. B. Hunt truck.
Between Schneider and Jb had fleet of coes intl.
Any chance that you still have this truck??
How mouch are you asking.?

Sure does, LS fairing replaced as further evidence, Probably never been over 56 mph.

Unusual, most US cabovers have steps behind front wheel. That looks European with steps in front of wheel
