Looks like a great product, but unfortunately that’s about twice the cost a normal person can afford a day.
Thanks Ryan. An 'elephant in the room' question: Why are there two wheel drive and all wheel drive options for the Cybertruck? Surely, all trucks need four wheel drive for best off-road and slippery surface performance?
Realistic date of arrival for new models: 2070
Yeah 45 years for the next model is soooooo realisitic
45 years for the foundation model, 47 for the regular
😂😂
@@Tom_7979now now I’m sure they will make up for the wait by meeting the advertised range and price originally announced lol
Elon is called "Mr two weeks"
The roaster will be renamed Model R. The new 25k car will be the Model U for “utilitarian”.
So the model line up could be UR S3XY lol
no no. Model U will be the van. Model 2 will be the cheaper car. so it will be UR2S3XY
@@mysticalbeing13the only thing making either one of the plausible is the stupid meme. lol
I thought the plan was spelling SEXY CAR
!! never thought of that... but a Tesla roaster would make a great kitchen add!
Nobody wants a Roadster or Robo Taxi! The Want the $25,000 car!! Even a 2-door.
Number one, let's forget about the robotaxi. We are still at level 2 autonomy. It's going to be awhile for this. Not to mention the red tape for approval. A smaller 25 or 30K electric car seems to be the best bet. I don't understand why Elon doesn't push for the updated model Y Juniper sooner. The best selling car in the world.(?) People are giong to wait for this model, I am one of them.
Looks like we're the only ones with vision. Only so many 50k cars and 75k trucks can be sold before the Tesla market is saturated. The 20k quality car is what the market needs IMO!
You’re not alone the car they need is a cheaper electric car. The cyber taxi will not be ready anytime soon. I had my full self drive shut down entirely twice on the Jersey Turnpike on Friday. It’s nowhere near ready.
I do think FSD is an amazing technology, but it’s not ready to drive a car by itself. I drove 4 1/2 hour drive back from New Jersey and I was refreshed and relaxed all the way home except for when the auto pilot shut down completely.
SAE levels aren’t linear and are bullshit. There are cars like Chevy Bolt who have gamed it to get a higher SAE level, but less advanced than Tesla.
Because it will cut into their highland profits. They delayed the cybertruck, because the demand for the model y was so high.
I think the re-designed model Y will be here next year but they don’t want to say it, for fear of tanking sales. I own a 23, and it’s so good, I don’t really care if it gets updated so soon.z the model 3 update was really needed though, due to the suspension IMO. I’m planning to buy the new one as soon as there are good incentives, such as a tax credit.
Tesla minivan needs to be on the short list. I know they aren't super efficient, but they are a huge gap in the market right now.
I really want a camper van!!
Efficient at lower speeds .
You have to think who wants a minivan. There’s really not that much demand for minivans. SUV’s are all the rage right now.
there are only a handful of minivans in the US market now for good reason. most of which are from foreign automakers
While I agree, Minivans only make up 4%-7% of the market. Trucks make up 12%-15% and they completely botched their truck so I wouldn’t hold out much hope.
Tesla Mini Van 🎉
apparently we have been waiting for ..really?
SE version of model 3 and Y is what I’ve been calling for for over a year. Single motor, no glass roof, no FSD hardware, just front and back camera, LFP battery only, no heated or cooled seats, just a f-ing commuter car. That’s all people with
It would be perfect to me
Won't happen. Tesla is building an autonomous future. They will not build cars without the capability
@@Matzes “Without the capability,” what capabilities? Regardless, sounds very short sighted and out of touch. Somewhat reminiscence of Motorola’s navigation of the rise of cellphones. Where is Motorola now.
@td4940 the autonomous driving capability. Its actually very long term thinking. Not sure why you would say the opposite. Building (ICE) cars without it is litteraly like the Motorola back then
@@Matzes wrong comparison, your comparison is more like what cellphones did to landlines. Motorola’s failure in cellphone was they were too short sighted to see cellphone for everyday people from teens to a bum on the street, they only cared about business people.
Tesla please release the Cybervan--- ultimate camper🎉🎉!
It's not a Tesla product. I can imagine partnership with a company to adapt Cybertruck to camper.
Need that $25k car over everything else.
Buy a used one.
@@bt4b4 that’s not the point. The point is to drive EV prices down. A used $25k Tesla will be even cheaper than a used M3/MY.
Used Tesla 2 at $10000 or less…
@@HypocritesExposd but if you want cheap, you need to buy a Chevy, Nissan electric . You get what you pay for.
We've been waiting, waiting, and waiting! 💤
lets see what the specials are tomorrow when they come out
Just order the model 3 performance in ultra Red. Super excited. 9th Tesla here we go 😂
Ultra red will clash with the red calipers
I wanted that color, but there's no way I'm going to buy it without the incentives, so I will get just the stealth gray and get that tax incentive, anyway, enjoy the car.
Nice. Though I might be in the minority, I prefer darker, low profile colors for my cars. Which is good because the stealth will net you that $7,500 credit.
They made the black and white interior a free upgrade though which I absolutely love.
Cool! That would be my choice until they revised model Y per Performance comes out
Out of curiosity, how many miles did you put on your previous/current Teslas?
For Australia we need it in right wheel drive.driving a left wheel car here sucks. You just can’t see anything and forget about overtaking! So hopefully if they do bring it here it’s in right wheel drive
I agree. I hope that right-hand drive is doable for CT
Left hand drive cars can't be sold in Australia anyway.
@@vasil7410 They can as my friend's dad has a 1990 camaro what is in left hand drive as that is the only version the US sold here. Maybe you can't get left hand drives here now! but you can still get left hand drive cars.
@@Henry-ip8dd This would have been a private import. There are specific rules that allow for left hand drive cars, usually related to the age of the car and collector status.
If he releases the van, he’s going to kill it selling them to Amazon.
I’m shocked at how relative little attention the 2024 Model 3 Performance is getting. It is an amazing product at such a value price. While I’d rather it be rare since I prefer to be unique, as a stock owner, I think the product deserves more attention.
@Ryan Shaw thanks for summary, also love your background especially those Tesla Models, is there a place where we can buy them?
imagine being so naive as to still believe everything thing Elon says… or maybe someone isn’t being transparent about where is $ comes from. nobody is that stupid, amirite
I think Tesla will surprise everyone with the Tesla Van! Based on the Cybertruck platform.
Can't wait for these new models!
it would be REALLY STUPID to make the robotaxi some small sedan type vehicle, it really should be something boxy and practical to move people and their things around short distances like the Nissan NV200 which is New York City's purpose built taxi design
I think the van will be the robotaxi, likely without a steering wheel. I just wonder if the van will be sold with a steering wheel to the public as well.
2500 Cybertrucks per week? But many media sources are saying sales have fallen off a cliff. So why the major increase in production for something that's not selling?
"media sources' make stuff up. They don't know what Tesla sales are. Don't know what GM sales are: GM books a car (ICE or whatEVer) as "sold" when shipped to a dealer - where it may sit for 5 months, or 2 years!
Because they are selling is the logical reason!!
125,000 truck per year was always the planned capacity (2500 per week). There is plenty of demand for that assuming even 1/4 of the 2MM reservations convert into order.
I think the van is the actual robo-taxi. The shape looks a lot like the Zoox. The other two being compact car and roadster.
I doubt it since usually a van is overkill for a ride share vehicle.
A small sedan seats 4. MY with luggage seats 4.
The van is coming but nobody at Tesla seems to expect it soon.
True. The van is robo-taxi, not the other covered vehicles.
Robotaxi is more likely to be two door two seat hatch. Why? Because that’s how many people are in a cab ninety percent of rides. 😊
@@malcolmrickarby2313 Just like now, I expect there will always be a diversity of vehicles in ride share.
A 4-passenger vehicle can also haul two or three with little difference in operational costs..
@@malcolmrickarby2313 we've seen early designs from Franz in the elon bio that show the robo taxi to be a 2 door hatch too.
I would definitely put a deposit down for a Tesla V (for van) today if they offer it.
Can't wait to see what's next with these new Teslas.
Love your work, Ryan! You said “ The run rate of cyber trucks is 1000 per year“. How can that be possible with something like 8000 now on the road now? This is far more “ collectors edition” Foundation series trucks than was claimed. what’s the deal with all that? Any potential upgrades or options in the works?
... van of course w/(MV Base, LR and P!) versions so everyone is happy
One in the picture that are covered looks like a taller suv. I hope tesla makes a proper 7 seater suv.
So nice to see people saying nice things about Tesla. I love my Model 3 and most people in Australia have no idea what it is and what it can do.
Idk about you but I want to see a Tesla motorcycle of some kind. They can make it look like a Honda NM4.
IMHO the focus should be on battery technology. Batteries are still way short of where they need to be.
Not a scintilla of scepticism. lol.
They are too big because they need big battery packs and powerful large electric motors to make them viable and they need a lot of charging.
I say the boxy vehicle will be a parcel delivery van. Think MB Sprinter or Rivian EDV
I think they should go more premium not cheaper. They will be competing with themselves with the used market. I'd rather see the roadster. Less batteries for more money.
Did anyone notice the tesla website is now listing the 7500-tax credit being added to the LR and SR models? It was just the performance, but now it does show it is eligible.
I also noticed there is not listed time frame if you order today...but you can see the Order pickup approximation with the model Y. This is very interesting.
The Y truck should be their next vehicle. Starts at 30k. Take the Maverick market away.. PERFECT for small business. Slightly extend the model Y add a bed 48v and lfp catl. No rebate required. Option the seats heat and vent vs plain seats.
Interesting thought.
I kinda wish they would have done this instead of the cyber truck. I like the CT overall but it has manny issues. Not having rolled edges on the body panels to me is just a disaster. Those edges are dangerous and ugly.
@@mylesgray3470 Better aero for a Y truck. The Y can already tow 3500 pounds. Maybe you get 150 to 180 miles of tow range but you wont charge forever because the battery will be smaller.
7:29, those mushrooms better have me running downtown nacked throwing feces at cars, if not it definitely did not come from California 😅
You mention the three new vehicles. I think that the new roadster is NOT one of the three. I count one cybervan, one model 2 and one robotaxi. It would logically be foolish to cover the new roadster when it was released earlier. What are your thoughts.
Sounds like the Tesla Roadster 2.0 is just vaporware
Nope... But it's irrelevant to core strategy. Great roose though!!
@@markthomas7279 Thanks for the ignorance
Like the Roadster lol
I am excited; my Tesla stock could increase to the point that I'd become rich enough to retire, just a few years before the time I already plan to retire, in a post-scarcity world in which money doesn't matter anymore.
Hmmmm. I think best to just buy and forget the share price and see how it goes in 5 years plus. Setting objectives like that switches off your life and puts your focus in the wrong place. That's why greed is a deadly sin. It eats your soul!! Best to just carry on and then one day you get a windfall that enhances your life!!
Yeah, I'm surprised that almost none of these comments are about the REAL news here-the very real potential for Tesla to become the most valuable company in history in the next five years. I'm definitely going to buy more shares. I can sell some losers I have right now (I'm looking at you Disney) and put it on Tesla. Right now TSLA is like 2% of my holdings. I'm not going to go crazy and go all in. More like bump it up to 10% or something.
Maybe the van would be something that could compete with the Sprinter...or a smaller version of that. A hatchback M3 would be really popular....pretty exciting stuff...
The sprinters are a disaster when it comes to maintenance. Too much emission control. Lots of repair trips. A Tesla would be awesome. Could have a mobile solar array for charging while camping too.
Let's hope hardware 5.0 comes with Bluetooth 5.3
What was entirely MISSING was the refreshed Roadster…is it cancelled now? No one mentioning this.
Who cares? It’s vaporware at this point. Just talk no action.
It's a low volume halo car and now they have the cyber truck filling that role.
They'll build it eventually, but it needs to be a low priority and not suck up resources needed for higher priority work. When when cybertruck is just another vehicle it's a good time to bring up a new Halo car.
2025 winter is coming....
It been mentioned for end of year I think. It's a rounding error in big picture.
1,000 run rate per year?
While it's technically correct that someone who makes under the $150k threshold can buy the $80k Cybertruck and qualify for the tax credit, it's highly unlikely given the burden that would put on a sub 150k income.
Cybertruck is not that relevant in terms of sale imho. But could wrong.
@@markthomas7279 I never said it was, I was simply referring to the comment in video about how the non-foundation series cybertruck can qualify for tax credit
Model Y refresh may be one of the "new" vehicles under wrap. 2025 launch. Peace
Yes, "not this year" could mean next year. Y demand remains high and Tesla can't climb out of the hole they're in while also shutting factories down. They know what they're doing.
One does not, “Make The Plunge” into an EV, one, “Takes The Plunge”. Come on in. The water feels fine! 😂😂😂
The stock is @ $178.01 USD -70.41 (-28.34%) year to date, even after Elon's staying bump... They really need the Model 2 $25K car to remain relevant...
Looks like we're the only ones with vision. Only so many 50k cars and 75k trucks can be sold before the Tesla market is saturated. The 20k quality car is what the market needs IMO!
$25K + quality + Tesla + on time - pick only any two from this list
@@fonkenful😅😅😅😅
@@ricoma6037 The world needs affordable advanced EVs! Killing the Bolts and building $125K Cyber Trucks and Hummers is only benefiting the rich stockholders. The Chinese have got it figured out we need to do the same...
@OwenFromOhio, I agree. Help not just the rich but help the masses! By doing so, the world is a much better place for everyone.
My bet is rather than a van, a minivan for larger families.
I just noticed one of the new cars most certainly looks like a minivan/mpv with 80-95% certainty. Hopefully it gets unveiled before VW drops theirs
This channel is under ratet 👍👍
a tesla ciber van with 9 sits to be able for robotaxi to take more people and make mid stops :D
Go get em Ryan
Regarding the pricing of Tesla vehicles: Tesla issued a price increase warning for the Model 3 in Europe today. Effective of July 1 the price of the Model 3 will be increased due to the tariffs the EU has announced for car imports from China. The Model 3 for the European market is built in Tesla's Shanghai factory.
Darn, I was hoping for a 2-door Model 3 Performance hatchback! 😎
I was 650,000th in line and got an offer for the Foundation series three days ago. Getting it in August.
Has anybody mentioned the problem of the car market reducing to one twentieth of today’s if robotaxi does all the driving?
I am absolutely interested in a Tesla van.
Especially if it has removable passenger seats like my current, full-size, 9-capacity (8 passengers & 1 driver) van does.
I don’t think we are far from autonomous driving and a minivan working for Amazon or fedex with two Optimus robots dropping off packages won’t be far behind.
What makes you think that?
Far or near is quite relative in terms of autonomous. I'd say...no sooner than the end of the decade.
Instead of people stealing packages, they will steal the van and robot 😂
@@choongta Change “the” (as in this) decade to “some” and maybe. I’m on team skeptic that anything approaching Elon’s promises from early this decade will ever be achieved, and it’s certainly something on which I’d never want to bet the lives and safety of my grandkids.
@fonkenful Totally. Yup, thinking again about end of decade, it's only a 5-yr time. Still a blink for FSD development.
Maka 2000 miles range at least first in one charge
Model 3 Hatchback, is my bet.
If Elon could design a cool Opel GT looking AWD sports car for around 30K and 400 mile range/charge Tesla would make a fortune.
Let's go !
The under the covers box shaped vehicle is more likely the actual Robo-Taxi because in real life people using a Robo-Taxi require space for up to at least 4 people and their luggage to be useful to fleets or individual Uber/Lift drivers.
Mosst Ubers are 1 or 2 people I think.
I really hope Juniper has HW5
Any news on a new model S? My model S is now two years old and I would sure like to get a new one next year.
He said hardware 5.0 is coming in 18 months. So it will probably align with that
not heard much about that Van… But some cybertruck assembly lines surely will help if the Cybertruck doesn’t sell as well as expected.
The Cybertruck is a US vehicle. Sales will definitely be limited. It’s not even legal in Europe. A van for tradesman and 7+ passenger transport would be very popular in Europe especially but also world wide.
So its the 40K truck that comes at 60 k ? I dont think you can tell to much about the new models from the "covered up models" it seems like the same used before. I dont think the robotaxi will look anything like the old drafts. of the small car.
👍
I don't know if you have seen any of the driving videos for FSD (Supervised) 12.4.1 yet, but yikes, what a MAJOR regression in some ways, particularly with the crazy and unnecessary lane changes on multi-lane roads. I hope we don't get the update on our two vehicles until 12.4.2 or 12.4.3 is released and those problems have been fixed, because in its current state, it's not an upgrade compared to the 12.3.6 version.
I want a Low slung model 3 station wagon. Fast as fuk boi
Simple question: how does a robotaxi charge itself? Without a solution available at any Tesla charger anywhere, other than the obvious human plugging & unplugging the car, all of this falls down.
"robocharging", after "roboparking"
The snake charger will come back after a 3-yr. hiatus. Plus, they also bought a company that does wireless charging tech.
Humans is fine. How long does it take to hook a car to a charger. It's a rounding error on cost. But no doubt and automated method will happen. But it's not needed. In elegant is fine Just get the robotaxis working!!
VAN! Yassssss
EV sales are in the dumps across the board, so Tesla better light a fire and get rolling ....at least bring the re-freshed Y next month
I appreciate all the content and current updates, but I feel there's a lot of 'filler' information or (sorry) 'history lessons' about the benefits of EVs and why Tesla is leading the industry.
British drivers rate FSD, which isn't even available?
If I got the same bonus Elon got I wpuld also be dancing like a complete clown 🤡
This is all great but Tesla needs to really go back and work on the fundamentals of good business. Their initial quality is still lacking and severely so in many cases. Customer service seems like an afterthought and the overall attitude when dealing with customers is poor. Part cost is still way too high when it comes to repairs and replacements. They really need to refocus and stop forgetting about the little things that make a HUGE difference.
How do you explain the the MY is best selling global car??? Just wonderin'!!
@@markthomas7279 It's so good that it sells well despite all the things marky3870 listed. There is room for growth.
That’s a good point. I but my model y 3 years ago I didn’t know all the features. The sales lady told me to watch some TH-cam videos. She also assumed I got the cheaper model for reason until she walked around the back and saw the dual motor badge. Terrible service in Temecula
Anyone that's believes a word Musk says needs mental help. Anyone that listens to Cathy is already to far gone . Look up her long term performance. Many have lost a bunch of money with her.
How much did you lose with ARK?
i would like one of the new cars to be a large van that can be turned into a camper van
If there was money in Campers they'd be mainstream, but they are not. Do a deal with Winnebego maybe??
Yes speculation is fun but I’ll wait till real reviews of new models happen.
one new Tesla, too noo Tesla, annudder Tesla, ...
"With sales topping 217,000 units, Tesla's Model 3 electric sedan was the third best-selling car overall in America in 2023, behind Toyota's soon-to-be-updated Camry sedan (288,365 sold) and Corolla (228,038 sold) and ahead of Honda's Accord (199,456 sold) and Civic (199,337 sold)"
"Car of the Year"?? PT hooey.

Parking garages have electrical outlets: required by building code.
@@FrunkensteinVonZipperneckin sure it will happen as volumes increase
@@FrunkensteinVonZipperneck not all apartments have a garage even
Petition your management. Manny apartments are putting in chargers.
They’ll be on the market when Tool releases their next album.
Maybe thats why all ARK funds are down 80-90%. Just a joke of course but still hilarious.
Cybertruck will start being cheaper, but it will still be overpriced. What a let down that was in person.
Like him or not, there is absolutely no one like Elon Musk and what it means for Tesla. Since my purchase of the Y in December 2022, this is the first EV I’ve owned that I see myself keeping easily for another 5+ years. If it wasn’t for Elon, EVs would never be mainstream. You may not agree with his methods or promises sometimes, but ultimately, he delivers.
I like my model y but I have no interest in Robotaxi or robots. I gave FSD an extended trial and subscribed but I will be dropping it when my subscription expires. It doesn’t work for me. Autosteer and TACC are all I need. I’ll be adding another EV next year and it won’t be a Tesla. If I rely on Elon’s vision of Tesla being an AI company, that is not a Vision I share. Tesla cars will face more competition in the future and that is a good thing.
"This is what we have been waiting for!!" "I can't believe Tesla did this!" "We never asked for this!!" "This!" "That!"
Didn't Elon say no new model this year?
no new/upgraded Y this year
My revivifier predicts Cybertruck production in 2024 will exceed total EVs produced by Ford, or GM - which is a pretty Frunkin' low bar...
