I personally want to practice that too so i hope i get both yinlin and her weapon

Tbh her outro buff gives Calcharo a massive nuke with his liberation, and most players will not use the death messenger cancel tech but will use death messenger whenever they see the opportunity, buff lasts long enough and is forgiving, making her still amazing to use for Calcharo, I can see death messenger canceling being important in holograms, but in tower there isn't much to worry about. You never swaps, this tech is dead now. You will lost all buffs the moment you press swap. Now you will always play 1 by 1, 6-7sec on Calcharo, then 6-7sec on her, otherwise all your buffs is wasted. That’s what changed from cbt2 to live.

I'm honestly scared about the swap cancelling stuff now.. like, swapping out of the main dpser makes the outro buff from yinlin disappear. Like... What are we supposed to do then? Because the outro kind of becomes useless if we're constantly swap cancelling. Like what even is the smart thing to do ? Forget the outro exists and lose the buff? Idk which way is better dmg

I like how Kuro puts out characters with "intended" rotations (Intro -> Skill -> BA1+2+3+4 -> Skill) that perfectly fill concerto and forte, but then ignoring all that completely is the optimal way to play. Tested this for a couple of hours and it's a pretty big gap in dps. Outstanding work as always iwtl. Thank you!
You are WAY too hyperfocused on animation speeds. She has cool and impactful animations not "sluggish". That zoom zoom swap in out style is what feels bad to me and im guessing most ppl, ure basically saying to swap her out every basic atk lol, staying on her and enjoying the animations feels good not sluggish. Sure it depends on the person but you shouldnt just say the character is bad if you dont do that spammy playstyle that most ppl cant do anyway and almost nobody will do on mobile.
Her outro buff going away after you swap off is by design, even changli has a similar buff for fusion and it goes when you swap off. There are many ways to play in wuthering waves, but I have noticed that for content creators coming from Genshin, if you can't quick swap "aka play like In Genshin" then it's not good, and that is a very bad bias to have as a content creator making content for a new game.
Agreed, I like the info he’s giving us, but calling it clunky etc is doing her a disservice tbh. Her aoes are huge too, which more than makes up for the animations in my humble opinion.
Not to mention swap canceling is just for meta no life people, just play normally. Another thing I bet he doesn't even read patch notes and he doesn't know quick swap cancelling looses buffs. They should disable swap cancelling entirely.
You have to understand he's coming from a place of max DPS. If you want to enjoy her animations then just do that. I'm on mobile and won't do the swap cancel personally, but I'm also someone who's never 36 starred the Genshin Abyss so he's more focused on DPS and beating all end game content

to be honest.. at equal stats, my jianxin, have almost the same stats as my yinlin, and just does more damage, is more tanky , and more reliable. The only advantage Yinlin has , is that she has bigger aoe in general with attacks and chraged. but for some reason she does LESS damage, and she's using her signature weapon, while my Jinxian is only using the "battlepass" crit gloves.
I fell in love with her during the trial and I love her asthetic as sort of a combination of Kafka and Sasori from Naruto, and by risking a 10-pull, I got her at 21 pity, then accidentally got my first double in any gacha on her weapon. I'm only UL 35 tho, so I'm still weeding out the purple echoes when building her, even though my DB is technically rank 19 T_T
I don't like micro management since it is easy for my eye to feel like its burning when tracking too much movements and spotting ques. Yinlin is gordius, my eyes are already burning without playing her, but my eyes can't bare to look at her for too long even if I want to 😂😂😂
Regrets are starting to sit in. I am not a huge swap cancel person and I just wanted her to buff calcharo. Clunky is accurate when not swap canceling. I will continue building her. Hopefully she will change my mind

don't know if i am playing tekken or wuwa with these combos and at the same time you have to take care of the enemy and dodge attacks or when you get hit you completly lose the combo. For even my Electro Echo on Cal still copiously bad, I put Heron Moonlit set on YinLin and changing her playstyle a bit around her Forte HA. Instead of Swap Cancel at Forte HA, I use liberation (ult) to animation cancel the Forte HA, then immediately Echo Skill Heron Swap Cancel into my DPS.
I think for the majority of people who are still only on the edge of level 40 she's pretty meh since her coordinated attacks are pretty cope at that level. However... I have a feeling she's going to become an absolute beast as the game progresses and Echo/Skill investments increase.
She's supposed to be best in a lightning dps team, but I absolutely am not gonna do that, cause I'm not at a state to just start building characters right now, and I also prefer to have multi element teams. Also, I wanna ask for some advice, I wanna have Chixia on my main team for as long as I can, so should I get the gun from the UL45 box, or should I get the sword for Rover(in the assumption of whether she'll still be viable for a long while)?

Why is swap cancelling not mentioned in skill descriptions when it has this much effect on the game? Sure some things are nice to learn as you play but this seems like a fundamental game mechanic like how to do a basic attack, or how to do a heavy attack.
Because it was never intended to be in the game. It was a bug but then the very incel CN community threatened to kill the game if the bug was fixed, so now we have this mess of a game that will completely ignore all intro/outro buffs because the bug is straight up better.
Man, I hope Kuro reconsiders making the outro buffs stay applied to the character even when swaped out, because many characters feel better when you swap cancel them (and the combat in general feels amazing like that) but Kuro seems to be trying to discourage/punish swap canceling. It's not a huge deal for Yinlin herself, but Calcharo also wants to swap cancel some hits but if you do you lose Yinlin's outro buff =S
Bro I got 4 out of 5 pieces double crit on my jiyan, got his signature, he literally slaps ass at everything. On the other hand, my Calcharo and Yinlin are on literal life support, I have like 2 pieces built for them so far. Yinlin's autos feel so nice for me personally, her animations are fine as hell. If I can also get the string master, I think I'm just gonna not pull for a while. No way I can build another character when I don't even have the ones I have sorted out. And I feel like these tuning pieces are going to be a huge issue in the end game. I am almost out of them with I built character, and mind you, I got pretty good rng on them, only 1 piece is easily upgradable. People will run into a lot of problems building characters for a while. 4 star turner things will be useless in a month, hope the game cranks the echo xp and gold tuner rates before then, so I don't feel like I can't progress as I want like Genshin holding me hostage for years.

I'm not sure if you ever tried but her Heavy fills about half her Forte, so I usually just Skill > 2B > H > Skill > Forte and it's all ready to go.

Why is swap cancelling not mentioned in skill descriptions when it has this much effect on the game? Sure some things are nice to learn as you play but this seems like a fundamental game mechanic like how to do a basic attack, or how to do a heavy attack.
Because it was never intended to be in the game. It was a bug but then the very incel CN community threatened to kill the game if the bug was fixed, so now we have this mess of a game that will completely ignore all intro/outro buffs because the bug is straight up better.

Man, I hope Kuro reconsiders making the outro buffs stay applied to the character even when swaped out, because many characters feel better when you swap cancel them (and the combat in general feels amazing like that) but Kuro seems to be trying to discourage/punish swap canceling. It's not a huge deal for Yinlin herself, but Calcharo also wants to swap cancel some hits but if you do you lose Yinlin's outro buff =S
Bro I got 4 out of 5 pieces double crit on my jiyan, got his signature, he literally slaps ass at everything. On the other hand, my Calcharo and Yinlin are on literal life support, I have like 2 pieces built for them so far. Yinlin's autos feel so nice for me personally, her animations are fine as hell. If I can also get the string master, I think I'm just gonna not pull for a while. No way I can build another character when I don't even have the ones I have sorted out. And I feel like these tuning pieces are going to be a huge issue in the end game. I am almost out of them with I built character, and mind you, I got pretty good rng on them, only 1 piece is easily upgradable. People will run into a lot of problems building characters for a while. 4 star turner things will be useless in a month, hope the game cranks the echo xp and gold tuner rates before then, so I don't feel like I can't progress as I want like Genshin holding me hostage for years.

I use her as a main dps and fml she’s soo godly. She does better than my cal and jiyan combined
u can cancel ur own 3rd basic with a heavy atk this result in higher forte bar gain than going 4 basic atks
